âMy ETA was well past the last check in, but a member of staff was kind enough to stay behind.
The dorm had 4 bunkbeds, an AC unit and a fan. The AC and fan worked well. Each guest was given a towel and a locker big enough to hold a large backpack. The bed had an Asian style firm mattress and a thin sheet, a private light, 2 sockets and a small shelf.

âI have stayed here a week and really like the hotel. Very friendly staff and big clean rooms. And itâs walking distance to the ocean walk and city center.
Itâs a basic hotel without any extra service but the price is right for that. â
âThe staff at CoCo Grande are the best, they treat everyone like family. Itâs clean, quiet, and relaxing. It is dated but that gives it character. Traffic would be the only negative factor but that is a problem all over the city of Dumaguete.â
âWe highly recommend the Hotel Palwa. Our third-floor room was in great condition: mattress and pillows were comfortable, Wi-Fi, shower, toilet, AC all worked very well. The hotel room was quiet, yet it is easily within walkable distance to downtown attractions. As a side note, there is a small bakery directly south, across the street, which serves the best cinnamon rolls Iâve ever had!

âGreat venue - what you see is what you get. There are things to improve on, a fridge in the room would be most wanted rather than a communal one on each floor after all itâs hot in the Philippines and you want a cold drink at night. Pool fantastic, staff fantastic and overall an 8.5 out of 10. Breakfast a little basic but the cafe behind does fantastic Filipino cuisine. Itâs like an Ibis or your basic Novotel â
