Beautiful view!

The place was as advertised. Very clean. Loved the beach front balcony and easy access to the beach and pool. Quiet, never heard neighbors. Easy access to restaurants and shops. Would recommend!!I spent most evenings sitting on the balcony listening to the waves, star gazing, and reading. I will point out to be aware of the stairs. It is two flights of stairs and they are steep and can be hard for anyone with bad knees especially. Just be sure to pack things in smaller, easier to carry ways since you have to take everything up and down the stairs. We also packed fans and the place had one fan. The a/c worked just fine, but given the FL humidity and the bedrooms on the 3rd level, it was a little too warm at night so the fans were a must.

Needs updating

My mother stayed at the Villas 13 years ago. Not in this unit. But a lot of the inside of this unit looks like hers did at that time. I had the opportunity to compare it to two other units that family had rented and this unit by far needs to be updated. Bathrooms are original equipment. Wicker bedroom and living room furniture (living room was very uncomfortable, we stayed 2 weeks). Kitchen had new appliances but that was it. Counter tops were Formica. Pots and pans and bowls were very disorganized and difficult to find, stuck back in a corner cabinet. The outdoor furniture was brand new but adarondex style and very uncomfortable.

Can’t wait to come back.

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was extremely clean, and well stocked with everything needed to cook a meal. Communication with management was excellent. Our stay was delayed because of a mandatory evacuation of the island due to a storm; the management team communicated with us through out the delay. Everyone in my family had a great time.

Island Vibe

We were delighted with our stay at Island Vibe on SGI. The location is perfect, everything you need is walkable or bike-able, the condo is steps away from the ocean. The master suite faces the ocean with a private balcony, we slept with the sounds of the waves every night. The main floor also has a balcony. The condo was clean and had all the basic amenities, we were even able to check-in early! The area was quite and perfect for family or a private get-away, we would definitely return!

Retirement celebration

This is an older condo unit, but it had been updated nicely. Well stocked with kitchen accessories etc. appliances seemed new. Beware of the stairs though there are two sets and they are steep. I’m sure the description mentioned them, I just missed it The view is amazing and great proximity to grocery store, cafes etc

Wonderful Beach Front Villas

We actually stayed in A-3 because H-5 was being remodeled. The communication was wonderful with Forgotten Shores and the owner of A-3 was helpful and welcoming. Great communication all around. The Villas have been newly painted with new spacious balconies. Close to the ocean and very relaxing. Our unit was very clean and comfortable. Close walk to restaurants. As a perk, we got free bike rentals through VaKay.

Great location

Great location. Steps were horrible. Very dated. Tubs need replaced due to peeling and makes it look and feel dirty. No lock on kitchen balcony door. Overall loved location but could have been more updated and locks fixed for price point.

Our Sanibel replacement

Very nice place. The tile floors and baseboards need a deep cleaning as does the top of the refrigerator. All in all though, we had a great time and the beach was fantastic. This county does need to start recycling. We were amazed that they aren’t doing so!!

Girls Beach Trip!

We enjoyed our visit to SGI! I've not been in a few years! The condo location is very convenient and beach front is always wonderful! The condo is within walking distance or a quick bike ride of several places. The beach is steps away. Sunrise and sunset can be enjoyed from the balcony! We are older and the stairs to access this condo were a challenge plus all of the bedrooms and baths are upstairs. The beds are comfortable, but the main room furniture not so much. All in all, everything is better at the beach!

Was pleased with the rental overall.

Easy to find, staff was very helpful. Small problems like stopped up plumbing, remote for DVD player didn’t work, had to request a new blender. But staff was there almost immediately to fix the plumbing and even brought us a brand new blender. View was wonderful and we would definitely stay there again.

Spring Break

Very clean unit & had everything we needed. As others have mentioned, the stairs got old by the end of the week. Especially since there is not a bathroom in the main floor. Also the unit does not have ceiling fans. We bought a little fan for the bedroom.

Nice and close to the beach!

We had a nice spring break at the "Island Beach Vibe". The condo is nice and close to the Gulf, which we really appreciated when we were carrying our beach gear down to the beach. The condo is within a 5-10 minute walk to pretty much any restaurant on the island, which we took advantage of. We've never been to SGI until this trip, and it was nice and relaxing and not crowded at all, which was what we were looking for. The parking lot was crowded but we always had a spot fairly close to our rental, and we took advantage of the coupon for the beach gear rentals. This unit had two beach chairs that we would not have rented from the beach gear, had we known it was available. We are a family of 5 and our girls each wanted their own bed, rather than snuggling up on a full sized bed, since they are full grown teenagers. We packed up an air mattress and one of our girls stayed in the living room and deflated her bed every morning. We had some rainy weather and explored the other areas of the island and off the island, but at night when it was tv time, we had a bit of trouble figuring out the multiple remote/cable situation. A memo on how to get to normal tv would be helpful for sure! If you want beach towels, the management has those available if you ask. We just bought some at the gift shop for souvenirs. The king bed is definitely soft, so if you are in need of a firm mattress, you'll definitely want to look elsewhere, as these are not firm in any shape or form. There is an apartment size washer and dryer that is useful, and did the job. We had issues in the master bathroom with the hot water. I'm not sure why that bathroom does not get hot water, but the other bathroom shower seems to have the capability of getting hot water out of the faucets. We cooked only one night and a few breakfasts and made a birthday cake for one of our daughters, and the kitchen seemed adequately stocked with utensils and dishes and cookware. Because this condo was right on the beach, we really enjoyed our stay. Have we stayed in nicer, newer places, yes, but we weren't really there for the condo, we were there for the beach! As far as the pool goes at the condos, there were people laying out, but it does not seem like it is heated. We tested the waters, but our days were too cool for swimming other than jumpinging waves, but it seemed like a nice clean pool. We would come back again for sure!

wonderful vacation

wonderful location. very clean. beautiful view. unfortunately at our age the two flights of stairs to cart all our supplies and getting to the bathrooms was uncomfortable and a strain on our bodies. Other than that we were blessed to enjoy the condo for the week
