Den första nivÄn i denna hÀrliga hem erbjuder en stor strandmÀstare svit med king size-sÀng och eget badrum med bubbelbadkar. TillgÄng till en tÀckt dÀck inbjuder dig utomhus för att hÀlsa pÄ morgonen soluppgÄngen eller att titta pÄ de miljoner blinkande stjÀrnorna pÄ nattskyen. Ett andra sovrum med drottning sÀng har ocksÄ ett privat badrum med duschkabin och en tvÀttstuga med staplad tvÀttmaskin / torktumlare finns i hallen för din bekvÀmlighet.

PĂ„ övervĂ„ningen kommer du att gĂ„ in i ett öppet vardagsrum med drottning bĂ€ddsoffa och högt i tak. HĂ€r kan du koppla av i de bekvĂ€ma möblerna eller gĂ„ ut pĂ„ stranddĂ€cken med ytterligare ett soldĂ€ck för att njuta av solens vĂ€rme. Great family vacation

We enjoyed our stay. Took advantage of the credit for beach gear and it was waiting for us when we got there. House had everything you needed. Loved having the beach right outside our door and the ice cream shop right across the road was a bonus!

Wonderful stay

This house was all it promised. The fenced patio was brilliant for the dog. Location is great you can walk to everything
and we did! You can walk to the parrot by beach or road. The house was clean and spacious and perfect for our stay. It’s always a blast to be able to bundle everything up a pop down tot he beach for the day! Dog friendly easy checkin and access it was relaxing and stress free.

Beautiful View

We enjoyed our short week at this property . The house was clean and orderly . The view from the decks was amazing . We also enjoyed the dry outdoor shower and lounge area on the bottom deck .

Annual Trip, Beach Year

The island is amazing. It's not commercialized, all in walking distance, and not "island prices". There was no short on happy staff and there were relatively no waits at restaurants. The beach is beautiful, clean and not overcrowded. Would 100% recommend a trip to St. George's Island. The house is dated and could use a facelift, but it did not take away from the trip at all. It is much closer to the beach than the pictures give justice. And you cannot beat the views from the back porches. We had three kids and four adults and the size was great for us. I would recommend bringing extra towels and laundry detergent as the ability to hang towels (beach or shower) and bathing suits is very limited. The queen beds are very, very small queens, if not even full size/double beds. The rental credit was great - we got bikes and extra chairs. The kids loved the ability to go anywhere on the island with the bikes.

Relaxing week!

Really enjoyed our stay. House was clean and convenient to center of island. Great decks to view the ocean. Short walk to private beach. It was nice to not have to rush out and drop your beach gear early in the morning like most places during spring break. Would definitely stay here again.

You need to be here

We rented for 4 weeks and loved it. The house is very comfy, the bed was comfy and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking. The views are amazing. Rain or shine. There are 3 decks you can choose from which was nice becoz the lower deck was a little warmer on a windy day. You can walk to restaurants, grocery and amazing donuts at Webers. Our two pups enjoyed the beach also. We felt this place was awesome. Would definitely rent again.

Perfect

The house has a perfect view of the Gulf and direct access to the beach. Balconies on two levels, as well as a little nook on the ground level, provide a variety of spaces for relaxing. Tasteful and quiet.

Nice week at the beach

We enjoyed our time on St George island. The beach views were incredible. The house was a very short walk to the beach. We enjoyed being able to grill at the property. The only thing is would change would be upgrading the mattresses, pillows, and the water heater. Beds were pretty uncomfortable, pillows were flat, and there seemed to be very limited warm (it didn’t really get hot) for bathing.

Enjoyed our stay, but


This was our third visit to SGI and we love vacationing on the island. This rental home was average in terms of condition. The back porch / deck was very nice and the furniture was worn, but not bad for a rental home. The kitchen had basic kitchen wear but was not stocked with anything else. Our only complaint was how dirty the bathrooms were. We purchased cleaning supplies and cleaned them ourselves because the mildew was terrible. The place needs a deep clean and it will be fine. But guests should not have to clean bathrooms after a long day of travel.

Great spot right on the beach, and within walking distance to shopping. It could use a little TLC, compared to the other homes in that row. Otherwise, it had everything we needed to enjoy our trip!

Family beach vacation

The location of this place is perfect - walkable to the store, restaurants, etc. Beautiful views too - We were able to see dolphins almost every morning from our porch. The layout of the house that everyone described is accurate and worked well for us. We were disappointed in a few things that impacted our stay - hair dryers didn’t work, there were dirty dishes in most of the cabinets, quite a few mosquitos in the house - overall made the stay good but not great. Island is a great place though and so much fun for the whole family!

Disappointed

This property was not very clean. The baseboards were filthy and there was mildew on the shower curtain in the master bath and in the downstairs guest shower. It definitely needs a very good deep cleaning. We found the bottom of the blender, but the glass part was MIA. We were also extremely disappointed in the condition of the outdoor furniture. It was not as pictured at all. It needs to be replaced. We did not use it. This could be a great property in a great location, but it is in desperate need of some TLC. Over all, we were very disappointed.

Just what we needed!

The beach house was exactly as expected! Three welcoming bedrooms, three bathrooms, great views, wonderful deck spaces, and close proximity to the water!! The whole island had a welcoming and laid back atmosphere! We had a wonderful time!

Great view/location...but some downfalls

The location and view are undoubtedly terrific! Short drive or walk to Piggly Wiggly, and restaurants, yet still quiet. Unfortunately there are a few negative details that should be shared. We were a family of 6 - my husband and myself, our 2 small boys, and my parents. It worked but keep reading... Although disclosed in the listing, be aware the “loft area” is NOT a 3rd bedroom. There is no closet, no noise barrier/privacy, and only a little wicker vanity that you can not sit at because the bench is broken. Also, whomever ends up with the loft “bedroom” has to go down several steep/narrow steps and through the kitchen to use the main-floor/common bathroom. The two bedrooms on the bottom level (Note: 3 levels total - you'll get a lot of steps in during your stay!) each have a private bath. The main-floor toilet does not flush properly so the tank lid has to be removed and the float manually manipulated, or use the sink and fill the tank with several pitchers full of water in order to flush. The Master bathroom toilet seat is broken (this was noted in a review months ago - should be an easy fix for the PM company...) and all the toilets had issues flushing/refilling properly. Not a deal breaker, but definitely annoying - especially for kids. On the positive side- there are plenty of dishes, cooking utensils, etc. The pictures are accurate as far as decor/style. Outdoor has some wear and tear (missing siding, rust, worn outdoor cushions, etc.) but the location and view is wonderful so all easily overlooked. Note that if your neighbors are outside on their deck too you're in VERY close proximity so be prepared to either have to chit chat or just ignore each other! ;) Ha. We had a very pleasant stay, but couldn't give it a 5 star rating.

The Lite House

We enjoyed The Lite House and loved its location on the beach. A few details to improve the house for future renters would be to fix the loose toilet seat in the master bathroom and replace burned out light bulb and non working hair dryer in the other bedroom / bathroom on 1st level.

Where was the safety gate at the top of the stairs?

The safety gate at the top of the stairs was missing, so we had to continually make sure the lounger was laying in front of the stairs to keep the pet from going downstairs unsupervised. Also, the gates at the bottom were not pet friendly. The spindles were too far apart and there were missing spindles; therefore, a small dog could get through easily. The plug in the master bathroom would not stay in place; therefore a bath was literally impossible without continuing to refill the tub. Eventually running out of hot water😕 The microwave that would have provided a vent didn’t work, so the smoke alarm was constantly going off While cooking (which upset my mother and the dog!). And at the end of the walkway to the beach there were two nails sticking up out of the sand. I stepped on those nails and hurt the inside arch of my foot. Mostly was concerned about the cleanliness... I continued to find small black hair throughout the house. The dishes were clean. They were in the cabinet and drawers, but not really clean. The coffee maker was also dirty. Despite all of this, we managed to enjoy the scenery and the beach.
