We ended up here after a stressful 24 hours in which we discovered that American Airlines cancelled all flights to Martinique (they'd actually done it months ago, but failed to tell us!) so instead of chilling our heels at our villa in Martinique, we had to hustle to find a place in Grenada which is where AA offered to fly us.
We feel so lucky to have found this lovely retreat. The apartment was huge and the AC was great. The pools--all three of them--were sparkling clean and the plants and palms all around were lovely. The place is funky and artsy--not a polished resort--if you're looking for that, go to the Radisson up the street. We loved the vibe here. Sharon, our host, was quick to respond to any requests we had--she and her family live on-site so she's there to get you whatever you need.
The Lance aux Epines area is beautiful, but a bit far from most of the places you'll want to see. The taxi service Sharon, our host, contracts with is great (we loved Rondell, who picked us up at the airport) but it was going to get expensive, so we decided to rent a car. That allowed us to get out and explore the island on our own, and we had a great time.
For a vacation week that started as a disaster, we feel very fortunate to have arrived at this place and we enjoyed it immensely.
