  • Gå till sängs med dörrarna öppna så att du somnar till havets ljud; gå ut på den täckta balkongen och kopplas direkt till kustlinjen och stranden. Du kan till och med upptäcka delfiner i bukten. Ät frukost utomhus under tak under morgonsolen och planera om du ska gå ut eller helt enkelt stanna där du är. Utsikten är fantastisk. Denna lätta fyllda lägenhet ligger på första våningen i ett Edwardian Country House som byggdes för St Ives School of Artists. Det finns 2 badrum (ett med eget badrum), med ett stort, högt i tak sovrum med havsutsikt och en dörr till balkongen. Det viktigaste vardagsrummet är dubbel aspekt med franska fönster som också leder till balkongen. Köket / matställen har spis med spis, kyl, frys, tvättmaskin och diskmaskin. Fastigheten ligger i en Sub Tropical Garden. Det nås via 2 uppsättningar trappsteg ner från körfältet utanför. Det är lämpligt för par i alla åldrar och barn med barn. Barnen bör dock övervakas på balkongen. Det finns 7 andra fastigheter i byggnaden, varav några är privata bostäder och inte hyrs ut. Huset ligger i Treloyhan som är det mest exklusiva området i St Ives. På våren är doften av vild vitlök underbar. Huset är idealiskt beläget 100 meter från South West Coast Path. Hela området är ett fristad för djurliv som inkluderar Ugglor, Buzzards, Green Woodpecker och en myriad av mindre fåglar. Rävar och grävlingar kan skymmas. Provträd finns i överflöd i området. Det bästa sättet att njuta av allt detta är genom att gå. Gångvägen leder genom trädgårdarna på sjönsidan av huset nedåt en gångväg fodrad med antika mossatäckta granitväggar till Haines Walk. Då måste du bestämma om du vill svänga höger till Carbis Bay där du kan njuta av faciliteterna på Carbis Bay Hotel, stranden med dess vattensporter och fantastiska promenader eller sväng vänster mot St Ives själv. Platsen är perfekt. Ett annat alternativ är att gå till Tregenna Castle Hotel där du kan njuta av en runda golf inom 10 minuter med förmodligen den bästa utsikten över St Ives från 12th Fairway! Tescos är också en 10 minuters promenad liksom vår lokala Cornish Arms. Detta är verkligen en speciell plats. Denna lägenhet är också perfekt för att utforska platserna i Poldark-serien.

Lovely location with fantastic views. Good walks on the footpath down to St Ives and on the coast path and we really enjoyed our 1 week stay.

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal dort und haben es wieder sehr genossen. Die Lage des Appartments ist hervorragend: Wunderschöne Aussicht, Bushaltestelle und Tesco Supermarkt in fußläufiger Entfernung. Man erreicht den Coastpath in wenigen Minuten und kommt nach 10 Minuten zum Carbis Bay Beach oder in der anderen Richtung nach einer dreiviertel Stunde nach St. Ives. Die Wohnung und Küche ist gut ausgestattet und der Balkon mit Aussicht ist herrlich! Die Wohnung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber alles war sauber und gepflegt. Wir haben den Aufenthalt wieder genossen und kommen gerne wieder!Hans und Susanne

Relaxing week

A quiet, relaxing place to stay with a fabulous view over Carbis Bay. Be prepared for the challenging up and downs of the paths at first… however after a few days it was a real pleasure to walk into St Ives and back and Carbis Bay and back. Would stay again.

Fantastic Sea Views from our very own balcony

Delightful cottage - well equipped and in an excellent location . Beautiful panoramic views over Carbis Bay , private entrance onto beautiful, woodland trail to Carbis Bay ( taking approximately 20 minutes to beach) Beautiful comfortable master bedroom - with access to balcony . Wonderful cottage .

Delightful cottage with stunning views of Carbis Bay and the property’s own beautiful gardens. Step onto the coastal path from the garden access and walk to the beach in ten. Excellent amenities with super eat in kitchen, laundry, spacious living room and pretty bedrooms. We enjoyed many meals on the balcony, listening to the breaking ocean waves. Wifi and quick walking access to Tesco. Take the footpath to St Ives and beyond along the stunning coastal path.No car needed to enjoy this property (we walked from Carbis rail), however parking is available anyway.

Very comfortable flat, great view & good location

We could not think of a better place to stay. Carbis Bay is beautiful and St. Ives in good and pretty walking distance (15-20 minutes). The appartment is very quiet, sitting on the balcony is very relaxing.

Stepping Back in Time with Outstanding Views

We stayed for a week at this Edwardian flat situated high above Carbis Bay and near the coastal path. We woke up to coastal views from the master bedroom and I often had my coffee looking out to the sea. The property has a nice balcony with grand views up the coastline. If you like historical properties you'll like this place. The kitchen is well equipped and the listing description is accurrate. I would highly recommend this place.

Perfect really....

I loved the view from the balcony, it was so peaceful sitting there drawing and painting. The walk along the coastal path into St Ives is about 15 minutes, with trees, lovely houses to look at, and views the whole way. Would definitely go back. Thank you

A superb base for our week discovering West Cornwall. The views from the apartement are outstanding, even better than the photos suggest, and the covered terrace is a great place to relax and soak in the view. The living room and spacious light-filled master bedroom are both nice, second bedroom is really small. Well-equipped throughout, particularly the kitchen, with a range cooker, and all the pots and pans necessary for cooking (note there are no restaurants in easy walking distance). All equipment is modern and in good working order, better than usually found in rental accomodation these days. Shame there was not a better coffee making machine.Only real negative is the size of the beds, both the singles and the small double seemed undersized. Otherwise, no complaints.

Very out dated needs a lot of work but the views made up for that, not to say you shouldn’t spend money on it because compared to the property next door it very poor inside needs new sofas and bed bathrooms need updating

Perfect to unwind

We had a wonderful week staying in this apartment. A great location for exploring this corner of Cornwall and easy access to St Ives, without the challenge of finding somewhere to park! The views were unbeatable ! We loved having breakfast on the balcony or sitting in the garden, watching the waves rolling in. SO very relaxing :) The flat itself has everything you need and very spacious. Very well equipped and with Tesco just up the road, self catering is very easy. Big thanks to Susie who was very helpful and brilliant at replying to messages/ questions we had. That was much appreciated. We would love to return here and would recommend 100%!

Carbis Bay Wonder Views

We had the most amazing week in Carbis Bay, made all the better by a week of blue skies and hot (for May) sun. The apartment is in a great location with clear views over Carbis Bay and out towards Godrevy Lighthouse. It was clean and tidy when we arrived with a well stocked kitchen which felt more akin to a second home being rented out than a commercial rental property. Due to its location above the western end of Carbis Bay, it was a downhill walk via the Southwest Coastal Path (although paved, it is steep in places) to either St Ives (for a mooch around the shops or popping into a restaurant or two) or Carbis Bay Beach for a day messing around in the sea.

Charming apartment, great location, with fantastic views of Carbis Bay

We had a lovely week in the apartment. A short walk to Carbis Bay, or slightly longer in the other direction to St. Ives, or further along the coastal path beyond Carbis Bay around Hawkes Point to the more remote Porthkidney Sands (although you won't get onto the beach there at high tide). The apartment is spacious and has everything you need. With a stunning view down to Carbis Bay. Close to lots of good restaurants, And within easy reach of the South Coast too, if you want to explore the beautiful Cornish countryside and that rugged coast with its history of smuggling at places like Prussia Cove. Our two daughters who are 10 and 7 had a great time. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Carbis Bay - Charming Cottage Apartment

Cute cottage style apartment with stunning views of the coast. We loved the direct access to the coastal footpath for daily outings. The apartment was charming and spacious: well equipped eat-in kitchen, dishwasher, laundry washer, large living room with balcony access, comfortable main bedroom with views and a reading nook, and a cosy second room with two singles. The apartment had been very nicely cleaned for us on arrival and the appliances and WIFI worked well. The host was prompt and helpful in replying to our messages. Nice additions would be to make available a few extra supplies such as shampoo, tissues, and to top up soap dispensers. This is perhaps more noted by international guests who can't carry liquids through security and don't wish to purchase such items only to dispose of them after a week. That said, the cottage is extremely convenient to a Tesco superstore (3 minute walk). We avoided the use of the shower & bath in the main bathroom due to concerns raised by the host on a tendancy for an alarm to sound if water splashes onto the floor. This wasn't a problem for our family as we simply used the ensuite shower. However, it could be more of a nuissance for other guests who prefer separate bathrooms. If there is a fix, that would be welcome. We had a very lovely stay and would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Fantastic holiday

This is the second year we have stayed in this flat and we love it. The view over the bay is second to none and we love to sit on the covered balcony with a glass of wine and just watch the world go by. The flat is located between Carbis Bay and St Ives and it is a relatively short and lovely downhill walk into St Ives for the coffee shops and restaurants, or the other way down to the beach. It should be noted that the walk down is much easier than coming back up, so anyone with mobility problems should beware. However there is a dedicated parking space up a few steps from the front door and this is very convenient for getting out to explore the district and coming back at the end of the day. We never had any problems with the space being occupied by someone else. There is a medium sized Tesco supermarket within 5 minutes by car and this is well stocked and has a Costa coffee shop. There are other shops in Hayle, again a short drive away. The flat is well equipped with all you need for the stay and is clean and comfortable. You need to take toilet rolls, but tablets are provided for the dishwasher and washing machine. We sleep well in the lovely bright main bedroom and although we haven't cooked that many meals everything you need is there. The second bedroom is small with just room for the two single beds. Communication with the owner has been very good and she sends reminders for bin days and so on. She responds very quickly to any query. Overall, good value for money

Spectacular View!

The best aspect of this accommodation was the absolutely wonderful view looking out over the beautiful garden to the sea and Carbis Bay. It really was stunning and lovely to sit on the substantial balcony and enjoy the spectacular view. The location between Carbis bay and St Ives was perfect and accessed in both direction by a lovely wooded path. Getting to this path would be a bit difficult for anyone with mobility problems however so bear this in mind. The accommodation itself was very well equipped. It was comfortable as opposed to luxururious, which is accurately reflected in the photos. It was a bit tired looking but certainly had everything you could need. Could have done with some cushions on the sofa but maybe this was a throwback to covid. The main bedroom was lovely and bright with a very large and lovely window looking out over the sea. Also patio doors opening to the balcony. The bed was very comfortable. It had a good ensuite with a very good shower. The second bedroom was very small - pretty much just fitted the two single beds. The kitchen had everything equipment wise. Just a tip to take tinfoil, kitchen roll etc as nothing like this provided. Plenty of dishwasher tablets though! Very short on toilet rolls too so take some spare. We only had 1 and 1/4 rolls for the two toilets. We always managed to park just outside the property which was good. Never had any noise issues with other people in the large property. Having the Tesco just up the road was so useful! The Cornish Arms was a good pub for food. Not many other options for eating out in the immediate area unless you can afford Carbis Bay Hotel which looked amazing but out of our league! Communication with the owner was very good. We did need to contact her about something and she responded immediately.

Tolle Woche

Eine Woche zum Genießen. Guter Standort für Aktivitäten in unmittelbarer Nähe und der Umgebung. Aussicht vom Balkon und aus dem Bett im Schlafzimmer kaum zu überbieten. Wohnung sauber, Ansprechpartner immer erreichbar. Infos gut und hilfreich.
