Girls break May 24

Amazing House
The house never disappoints. We stayed here for our wedding at The Carbis Bay Hotel. Having previously stayed here it was better than we remember, so much space, parking for multiple cars, perfect location, all the facilities you need and the views over carbis bay are simply spectacular. Spectacular Location
Great stay. Property is first class, every detail thought through. Fantastic view of the bay - relaxing enough in itself - even better when the sun shines! Be warned - geography makes it all a bit steep, yet manageable walk to (more so from..) the beach! Loved it

Wonderful
Lovely, modern, bright and airy property with all mod cons. Very comfortable beds. Hot tub was a great bonus in the evening, soaking our tired legs after some very steep walks. Great location being only 20mins walk into St.Ives and a 10min walk to the beautiful Carbis Bay beach. We have stayed in Carbis Bay on many occasions and this property is one of the best we have stayed in. Would thoroughly recommend.

Best uk holiday ever
This house is amazing, all rooms are beautiful and well equipped. You have a great view of the sea from the back of the property and the hot tub, which was amazing 😀 The host are also amazing, we had a minor problem with the hot tub on our first day and Lisa was really quick in sorting it out. We will definitely be recommending this property to all our family and friends 😊

Lovely stay
We had a lovely stay Spernen Wyn. The view was fabulous and we had a much needed relaxing week away. With easy access to Carbis Bay beach and the costal path - makes it a perfect location! The hosts were easy to reach, quick to communicate, and very accommodating. We hope to be back soon!

Perfect
We were looking for somewhere beautiful to rest and enjoy, it was certainly that, and that view… wow! The house is absolutely perfect ( if you need it, it exists, so well thought through) for a stay with teenagers it was just perfect, plenty of their own space then we could come together for meals with a large central table, and the best equipped kitchen I have ever come across! The hot tub is a perfect (well maintained) place to relax, and again to enjoy “that view “ We played board games as a family, had table tennis tournaments and even had time to read a book on the Sun lounger. The beach is beautiful ( if you’re going, spend the day) the hill back up is not for the faint hearted, but the beach has everything you may need (toilets, pizza, deck chairs to rent, body boards, surfboards and kayaks and so get your steps in… it’s worth it. I can’t praise this holiday enough, it really was perfect 😍

The perfect stay
We had the most amazing time at Spernen Wyn. The location is unbeatable, 5min walk to golden sandy beach of Carbis bay, stunning 20 min coastal walk to St Ives, and Tesco on your doorstep. Hot tub has been a life saver on wet days! Fantastic communication with our hosts, and great recommandations. ( Gwithian walk was amazing!)

Another fabulous stay in Spernen Wyn.
This is a great property. Well fitted throughout. Great location. Glorious view of the bay only 5 mins walk away - but with the drawback of a steep climb back if you're in your 70's!.Thoroughly recommend but please dont book it when we want to come for a third visit next year!!.Excellent host.

Stunning house and views.
Just had the most wonderful week at Spernen Wyn. The house is gorgeous, stunning views from every room. Super comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. Location is great, with a large Tesco such a short walk away and many beautiful towns a short drive. We may have slightly underestimated the hill climb down to the beach but the aching muscles were easily sorted with an evening soak in the hot tub. We’re already hoping to return another year.

What a view - it got 5 massive WOW,s from us the view is just stunning
The property was lovely and clean and the owners have put a lot of thought into making sure you have everything you need. We spent lots of time in the garden and the hot-tub which was a great relaxing plus to a busy day. Tesco is a 10 min walk 5 min drive which is very handy. This is by far the easiest 5/5 rating I have given.

October half term 2022
Outstanding property. Very clean, and as advertised. It's a short but steep walk to Carbis Bay beach. Our children, the younger of which is three, could do the walk no problem. There are places to buy coffee and ice cream on the beach, as well as public toilets. The beach is excellent for young children, barefoot running, paddle boarding, and swimming, but it's not a surfing beach as the waves are too small. Gwithian is a short drive if you want waves. It's very easy to get the train into St Ives, and really nice not to have to drive. The house is spacious and given its rectangular shape the master bedroom is quite separate from the other bedrooms. There's lots of space downstairs too, it's very easy to be together as a group or separate. Hot tub is excellent. There's no such thing as bad weather when you have a hot tub and a view! For anyone reading this, it may help to know that there is a well-stocked Tesco a short (but steep) walk away, so it's very easy to get milk and so on. That was massively useful and really enhanced our enjoyment of the house. Hosts very professional and responsive. Wouldn't hesitate to go back. Thank you Neil and Lisa.

Simply Beautiful
This house is gorgeous and has everything you could need for a luxury holiday. The decor is light and bright, the bedding crisp and white and the towels large and fluffy. The master suite is large and has both a bath and large separate shower. Outside the garden is on 2 levels with decking off the lounge and kitchen diner with plenty of chairs and loungers to choose from and take in the sea view. Plus the hot tub which was a lovely treat. The location is superb - walking distance of some great pubs, restaurants, Tesco for provisions plus the beach and the train to St Ives which means no stressful parking. At £2 return and a quick 4 minute train ride it makes for a very stress free break. Excellent communication with the owners who were quick to respond and very accommodating. Thanks for the recommendations for eating - all of which we tried and loved!

Superb location, great accommodation
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Neil and Lisa’s property. Good communication and information prior to the stay. The property is excellent and has everything required to make the stay a memorable one. The hot tub is great too! The location is superb, offering a fantastic view and a 5 minute walk to the beach or coastal path if some exercise is needed! Pubs, shops and restaurants all close by. Stunning house and views
From the moment you arrive the views from outside the house are amazing. The house is beautiful and contains everything you need for your holiday. A full length mirror in the master bedroom would be useful but that’s maybe just personal preference. The sun deck has ample chairs, loungers ans sofas to relax on. The sun here is blazing till around 2pm. (A parasol would be a great addition) The hot tub is fantastic and sitting in there with a drink looking out at Carbis Bay is beautiful. The area is very quiet and relaxing. I would say that the beach is more like 10/15 mins walk away. It is down steep hills, across a bridge and down steps so not for anyone who struggles to walk or has mobility issues. Taxis into St Ives were quick for dinner time meals. All communication with the owners was swift and very helpful.

Wonderful experience from enquiries about the property, to paying and then any questions I had they were more then happy to help and very prompt in the reply. The house itself was immaculate, had everything you could possibly need and more! The view was spectacular and meant some mornings and evenings we didn’t even want to leave we just relaxed around the house which was perfect. The local was brilliant and could easily walk to all 3 local beaches. Carbis bay being the easiest but we love all 3 especially as our children loved to surf. I would highly recommend this property and are looking at it for next year already.

Beautiful stay in Carbis Bay
A truly wonderful house in a stunning location. The house was a real home from home and we felt very comfortable and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a welcome relief after the walks back from the beach to soothe aching legs, the walk back is not for the feint hearted but totally worth it for the views! Wonderful relaxing holiday home
Had a great stay in Carbis Bay. The home was always a delight to return to at the end of days out exploring the St Ives area. The home is very well appointed and has a luxury and spacious feel and the kitchen is well equipped including handy things like plastic plates and cutlery for packed lunches. The hot tub is really good and very well maintained being drained and refilled at changeover. We enjoyed the location too with lovely views of the bay from the large furnished balcony, nearby access to the beach and branch line train to St Ives (3 minute ride) and also a large Tesco for the groceries. All in all a great place to stay and highly recommended.

Great house with everything needed for a great holiday. Location perfect with the most amazing views across Carbis Bay, can go to sleep listening to the waves. All bedrooms have perfect sea views. House was roomy with plenty of space for everyone - tv's in bedrooms helped with nearly teenagers. House was spotless on arrival - garden was lovely to enjoy the weather. Very peaceful location. Beach at Carbis Bay is lovely and clean - a bit of a hike downhill then up but worth it - cafe and resturants at beach for drinks and ice cream.

Fantastic property with Stunning views!
The whole process from booking through to our stay was smooth and the property beautiful. If you are looking for modern accommodation with a stunning sea view, I really cannot imagine you could find anything better! The property owners couldn’t have been more helpful and any questions I had were answered quickly showing a real commitment to ensuring we had the best stay possible. We even received a message shortly after our arrival to check in and make sure we were settling in ok which was a lovely touch. The house itself is in such a wonderful location overlooking beautiful Carbis bay and waking up each morning with a view of the sea from each bedroom window made us even more sad to leave!!! Everything you could need is provided in the house and the standards of cleanliness were excellent with clear attention to detail meaning everything was spotless. The hot tub was an added bonus (again very well maintained) if this is something you are looking for, with beautiful views whilst you relax after your busy day sightseeing. Walks down to the bay or up the the local supermarket are hard going with the hills but for me this wasn’t an issue. I also enjoyed a number of coastal walks locally which showcase the fantastic Cornish scenery. I couldn’t recommend this property any more highly (my only reservation being that by doing so it May not be available when I want to return)! Thank you Vrbo and of course Lisa and Neil for helping to make our holiday so wonderful

Holiday review
Fantastic one week stay over the new year period. Really lovely house in a beautiful location, only a short walk down to Carbis Bay beach. We had a very small issue with the temperature of the hot tub, I contacted the owners who responded immediately (even though it was New Years Eve). They really could not have been anymore helpful and the issue was resolved quickly. The hot tub worked perfectly and it just added to the overall experience of our holiday. The house has more than everything you need and is most definitely a home away from home. The views from the house are wonderful too. We would without a doubt stay here again. Thank you to the owners for making our stay such an enjoyable one.

Fantastic location and comfortable accommodation
Clean,comfortable beds,wonderful well maintained hot tub,lovely locationtion a very expensive and exclusive area just a short walk from carbis Bay beach which is magnificent provided south west water are not discharging sewage on the north coast of Cornwall. I have been to some magnificent beaches around the world but this is in the top three. I have checked for next year but it is now out of my price range unfortunately because I would stay again. A minor criticism is the property could do with a laminated sketch map with footpaths to the beach. The owner kindly sent me an online map on request. The recycling could do with clearer information on what goes where etc.

Marvel at the sunrise
From the second we opened the front door we could see the sea through the french doors to the decking and beyond. Beautiful scandi feel inside. Really thoughtful touches in the property (robes, games, books) and the decking space and garden was seamlessly blended - oh and the views from the hot tub!!! Lisa was brilliant with communication. Carbis Bay is so close to our heart having holidayed here way before it became internationally famous with the G7 gang. We walked to St Ives along the coastal path and sometimes got the train (walking distance) after an exhausting day surfing. Tesco’s is easy walking distance too. If you have buggies or wheelchairs take the sloping paths down to the beach - steep but great for your thighs! This place is everything and we thank you for sharing it ❤️

Just far enough from the crowds
The property was very well presented. It had a clean modern feel. Facilities were excellent with large flat screen TV's in all bedrooms and a Jacuzzi at the rear near the decking. The views are stunning and importantly it is far enough away from St Ives to avoid the crowds if you wish, but within 30 mins walking distance of the Port with its fantastic selection of restaurants. The Sandy Carbis bay beach is also a 5 minute walk down the hill. My only (small) criticism would be that there is no instruction and information manual. This would be a useful touch. Final point to make is that you need to book the restaurants in St Ives a long time in advance!!

Amazing Stay, we didn’t want to leave!
We stayed at this property for a week in August and all I can say is that it was amazing from start to finish! The house itself was family friendly we were a party of 4 adults and 4 children and it really did cater for all, it had everything you needed which made it a home away from home. The views from every window were absolutely gorgeous. My husband is an early riser so was able to watch the sunrise over the bay each morning. We were really lucky with the weather so had a few beach days at Carbis bay, which in my opinion is one of the best beaches in Cornwall. Also the communication with Lisa and Neil was great. To summarise this is one of the best staycations we have had in a long time, you know you have had a great holiday when you don’t want to leave. We will definitely be returning.

Wonderful house in the perfect location
This is such a perfect spot for an amazing holiday and the house is totally fabulous. The sea views from the house and garden are perfect. The beach is 5 minutes down one footpath and St Ives about 15/20 minutes down another one. Beds comfortable, showers brilliant, everything worked. A minimal amount of hanging space as no wardrobes but plenty of drawers and hooks on the back of doors for a couple of frocks. St Ives was packed as the world and his wife had converged on the little town. However you can always find a quiet spot on the beach at St Ives. You can book yourself a Waitrose food delivery. Remember to add all the items you need to your shopping list, including cupboard staples, such as salt, and all toiletries including hand wash as these are not provided beyond a single loo roll for each of the three toilets. A reasonable sized Tesco can be found a few minutes walk up the hill, so you need not go short of anything for long. The price has doubled for next year, so we’re not planning to return. It’s not surprising given the quality of the property with a hot tub and all. Worth every penny, if you can afford it. Book it Danno!

SW Coast path
We were walking from St Ives towards the Lizard and Carbis Bay was the perfect base. After a day walking the Hot tub was fabulous but also the house was very comfortable. The views sublime and great access to the beach, St Ives and beyond. Loved every minute.

Perfect house, perfect location and perfect weather!
This was our 2nd time visiting Carbis Bay and I decided to find somewhere perfect for us (family for 4) to stay during the half term. This house was definitely it! The house had a nice look and feel about it and it is located just few mins walk away from the beach. It had all the mod cons and everything we needed to make our stay be as comfortable as possible – it was a home away from home. Also, in addition, this was the first time booking on this site and it was a nice experience. To top it all off, Lisa & Neil were fantastic hosts, with good communication along the way. Couldn’t ask for more really, and we very much look forward to staying there again. Thanks for everything!

This property definitely has the wow factor.
This house is very clean, modern and well equipped (Neil and Lisa have thought of everything). The views from all rooms are fantastic and the location is great close to Carbis Bay beach and train station to St Ives. Communication from booking to end of our stay has been great and Neil and Lisa have been very friendly and helpful. We all had a fantastic holiday and would highly recommend staying at this property 😄

What a wonderful stay in this delightful property! We loved the location; such amazing views of the sea from all rooms and only a short walk into St Ives or Carbis Bay via the coast path. The beaches in the area are spectacular too and we'd recommend a trip to both Porthmeor and Portminster beaches in St Ives as well as Carbis Bay of course. Do research your tide times so as not to get caught out. We were fortunate with the weather being sunny throughout our stay and the cold winds did not deter us from being outside and using the hot tub! And oh that hot tub - we so enjoyed the awesome view of the sea from it. This was the most relaxing stay in an incredibly well equipped home - Lisa and Neil have thought of everything! We loved the touch of the fleecy blankets so you can enjoy the outside for longer and the house was very warm on the chill evenings. We can highly recommend Becks fish and chips for both flavour and price. Oh and coffee on the veranda in the morning sun was delightful. This was a very last minute trip due to a problem with where we had originally booked (not through Vrbo) and the prompt communication and reassuring nature of all emails were really appreciated. This goes down as our favourite UK holiday home - we had a fantastic time there and cannot wait to return. Highly recommended! Thank you again for making our stay so memorable in such a beautiful home.
