“What a charming hotel, full of character and perfectly located for exploring the local area. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming, going above and beyond to assist with parking and offering helpful recommendations for local walks and amenities.

“This pub changed hands September 10th 2026. I arrived on the 11th. Met by two large under-controlled ladradors, a strong smell of smoke (remember what that was like?) and a pub with no tap beer , no kitchen or other staff. No food. I left pronto.
This review may be unfair to the new owners but my reception was less than impressive and I have my doubts.
Caveat emptor.”
“We were shown to our room which was a good size with a large bathroom. Fresh milk available from the fridge on the landing for a cuppa.
We had dinner here,very tasty chicken and salad on flatbread. Our breakfast was also lovely,freshly prepared and good quality. Cereals,juices and toast available along with a full English or other options.
A comfortable bed and plenty storage space for those staying longer. A quiet village location.
It's a Community owned pub so nice to contribute to it's...
“The team were friendly and helpful we stayed in a very clean and well presented room (No 11) that had a beautiful bathroom. The onsite restaurant served really good quality food and the continental breakfast delivered to your room in a hamper was excellent would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area.”
