âMaria, who is front of house, was so welcoming and later, in the dining room she tirelessly looked after us and all the other guests. The food was fantastic and I understand her husband is head chef, Joseph Colman. The rooms were attractive and very comfortable with lovely bathrooms. I would certainly recommend this as a wonderful getaway. â
âIt was a great place to stay, its something new and different, when i stayed me and wife were the only 2 people checked in, we meet the owner of the property got a tour around the place, the garden area needs a little TLC on the path ways but we didnt mine this it was nice, the owner is extremely happy nice lady she was upbeat and chatting each time she saw us made sure we were okay and check if we needed anything.

âWonderful house in nice surroundings with a large fenced field right next door. Friendly staff, good food and nice breakfast options. Slightly disappointing that our selected and paid for room was not bookable with our dog and we got allocated a smaller cottage room instead even though the hotel is listed as pet friendly. Classic decorations and overall well maintained. However, would not have expected plastic flowers in the conservatory.â
âItâs a lovely place to stay if you like walking a lot. Itâs a short drive to local places of interest. The hosts are lovely and very accommodating. The ladder up to the bedroom is quite a quirky feature. Overall itâs a lovely cosy base to explore from.â

âLovely accommodation, clean, modern, pretty and spacious garden, safe off road parking.
3 very comfy bedrooms, nice living room with dining table. Well equipped kitchen with dishwasher as well as utility room with washing machine.
The road is a bit noisy with very fast traveling, but we soon got used to this. It wouldn't put us off staying here again.
The location of cottage is close to many lovely attractions including Forest of Dean, Clearwell Caves and Puzzle Wood.â
