âClose to everything and plenty of perks with free snacks in room and lounge. Rooftop terrace has amazing views and a great spot to relax. The free drinks and appetizers from 4-5 is also a great perk. The day we were there we were so busy touring the town we missed lunch, the free bacon wrapped chicken bites hit the spot. Additionally the free breakfast was fantastic, far above what youâll get at a normal continental breakfast. First day we were there it was eggs Benedict. â
âWe spent four fantastic days at the Spectator Hotel with our kids (12+13) and was completely blown away by the impeccable high standard and impressive service level. It was like being welcomed into someoneâs home - but better! We felt like royalties and appreciated everything about the hotel from the welcome and complimentary drink, to the lounge bar, our room, breakfast, valet parking service to the generous refill of the minbar and all the great sightseeing tips. âHarborView Inn is a small hotel with the best of hospitality and services. Must mention the wine tasting every day! And smack in the middle of the vibrating atmosphere in the Historical district of Charleston. A perfect stay!â
âAndrew Pinckney Inn is a wonderful and charming hotel centrally located in beautiful Charleston. The only thing that dragged our experience down was the sleeping-coach, which was ready to be changed. It was really horrible to sleep on. Beside this, the hotel was so lovely with a great breakfast in a charming top floor. To our surprise, they even had an afternoon-hour of complementary wine and cheese. Unfortunately it was a quite early in the afternoon, so we did not make it back to it in time....

âHad a great stay. Excellent location in the Historic district. My friend and I got a clean, spacious big corner room with lots of light and the Inn was homey and nicely decorated. They serve a comtinental breakfast in the room, which helped us get a good start before exploring Charleston. Every afternoon they also offered cheese and wine in their sister property in the building next door. Highly recommended!â
âTo charge 8 dollars for a bottle of water in the room when you pay 550 dollars a night is just so unattractive. Furtheron, also there was a note saying enjoy the bath amenities like cotton pads during your stay - if you bring some home there will be a charge! â
âWe loved the pool and the location. The house was beautiful and our room was too. However, the listing on Expedia says there is âfreeâ offsite parking 0.3 miles away. When we arrived the spots on the property were full so I took the parking suggestion sent in my guidebook and headed to the 34 St Phillips Street Parking Garage. When I got there I found out that parking was in fact not free, but $1 per 20 minutes with a maximum of $24. I was willing to pay this, but was disappointed because I...

âOne of the oldest hotels in Charleston in need of some refreshments. We booked a suite and it was quite allright but but no minibar, stains on every furniture (which is fine, you canât replace them every time) but also a big stain on the duvet cover on the bed. Got to be something that can be cleaned or replaced. But ours was there for all four nights. The restuarant is great! Especially for dinner. Breakfast is not worth having, go somewhere else on the street. â
