"This hotel has been fantastic( my wife and I stayed here). Sadly we were here as my wife's dad had just died and we could not stay at the home place. On the first night we were here, the hotel staff ensured we had a parking spot on site as I was arriving late from Sweden. That same night, Rosalie, one of the wonderful front desk staff, also gave us a voucher for two free drinks after we arrived. All of the staff, without exception, have been kind, compassionate and gracious without intruding, but we have experienced their kindness in so many ways during our time here, too many times to mention each one. We had chosen a suite to stay in this time; it was clean and perfect for all we had to do, including the to-ing and fro-ing of all the funeral arrangements and calls. The room was quiet and comfortable, and my wife LOVED the bath, which she enjoyed in the evenings after the difficulties of running around arranging the funeral. One evening, our last night, we ordered food and drinks. The food and drinks were 'lost' in the system and delayed. When we mentioned it, we were given our food for free and multiple apologies from the staff. Can I say whoever trains these staff does a fantastic job? I like that they have the autonomy to fix things or make decisions that keep the customer happy. We will visit Kilkenny regularly and in favour of more trendy or even expensive places we will come back to the Pembroke again because of our fantastic and memorable experience here"
