  • Oh Nom! for whatever reason the dining room was empty when we walked in. The ambiance & service was charming enough (I particularly enjoyed them showing "Teen Wolf") & the sushi rolls were a great value--the veggie rolls are to be missed but hey we are in the south-->it's always a gamble when your vegetarian appetizer isn't fried :)

Good Overall Stay

Good communication, room not very clean and needs updating, pull out couch not good for sleeping. Location very good, grills on site were nice. 800 in total fees (Host service). Parking was good.

Another great stay at Caprice!

We weren’t sure if this trip would happen due to the hurricanes. But it did. We were moved from a first floor unit that had some damage, to a fourth floor unit. The beach was beautiful and very clean. They have done a wonderful job. There is lots of damage and deviation still, but they are making progress in the area. Leann, in the rental office was wonderful as usual. She let us have a late checkout since our flight wasn’t until evening time. The pool wasn’t open, but it looked like they were getting close. We assumed it wouldn’t be open yet. Wasn’t a bad g deal for us.

relaxing days

As stated in the rating questions, we had a very easy pleasant stay at the Caprice! The only thing we would have changed is easier access to the beach from the fenced area. But even that was not bad.

We loved the surroundings and location of the condo to everything in the area. The condo needed updating badly. The kitchen was unstocked for cooking. The basics were either too old and worn or not there at all. We stayed for three weeks so cooking was important. We are coming back next year (2023) to Caprice but in another unit. Secure wifi is needed.

Outdated

great location but very outdated. Pool is small. Rooms are large but very outdated. We had actually keys to get in rooms and you needed keys to get in pool and thru all gates which is very hard when your hands are full of beach gear. This place needs some love and money put into it for me to ever stay there again.

HOT TUB hoax

Overall the property was fine, but there were a few disappointments. The hot tub in the pool was a small seating area with jets. That is not a hot tub. Our unit had a broken microwave. We reported it on Sunday and were never told what the remedy would be. I asked later in the week and was told that a new microwave was ordered, but that didn't solve our problem. Upon check in we were told that there weren't any beach towels. A day before check out, a lady came out of the office with beach towels and she told us towels were available for a deposit. The property needs to post signs not to feed the birds. Our neighbors above were "raining" doritos down to the pool area and it was like a scene from the movie "The Birds". 30 gulls were flying very close to our balcony. It was vey unsettling and I had to go inside. We also had crows on our balcony railing. The property also needs hang line by the pool to discourage the birds from the pool deck. I notified the office of the neighbors behavior and they did stop feeding the birds. The bathrooms were a little dated and the fan in the master bedroom was very loud and comes on with the light which was disturbing for late night bathroom visits.

More pros than cons

Family of four stayed here for five days. The location is great: steps to the beach, a short stroll to restaurants, etc. It was clean and being directly poolside was nice especially with kids who swam the whole time. The complex was quiet and I liked that it was a little north of the hustle and bustle of the other places. The only downsides: I agree with the other reviewers. It is dated and the beds are super uncomfortable. The kitchen is equipped with the bare minimums. Other than that, we had a wonderful visit.

Great Location

Just spent a week in this unit. It was very clean and the location is fabulous. It’s a little dated but fine, however the 2 twin beds were very uncomfortable and should be upgraded. I also wished the building had recycling bins. Still a great stay overall.

Great stay!

Enjoyed condo #106. Perfectly clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed to make our stay great. Only cooked breakfast but all the pans, utensils, cups/mugs, and plates needed were supplied. Beds were comfortable. Couch and love seat were big enough to fit 4 comfortably. Bathrooms were clean. Master bath completely renovated. Will definitely consider staying here again.
