The unit was as described - clean, spacious and the location can't be beat. We've stayed in this building a few times, this is our first time in this unit / owner. The pre-checkin is amazing and a huge perk, the other units we stayed in didn't offer that and it was super convenient! The unit is very minimal in offerings in unit (beach/pool supplies, toiletries etc), which is fine, as it's not advertised otherwise. Switching to a smart TV with streaming would eliminate the frustration of cable boxes, resets and remotes...

Mostly Accurate Listing

We just finished up a Spring Break stay at Madeira Bay 1707. For the most part, the listing is accurate. The location is right next to John's Pass (tourist area), directly across the street from the beach and walking distance to most everything you need (a short drive to Publix Supermarket). Mornings on the balcony were great with the morning sun and evenings were nice as the balcony is shaded and you get a little reprieve from the sun. Our 15 year old daughter and her friend never ran out of things to do nearby. The downside for us, was we flew into Tampa, so did not have room for much more than luggage. The beach amenities included with the room were poor. The beach chairs were so incredibly cheap, anyone over 100 lbs couldn't use them. There was no cooler to use. The pool is very small and seating is limited, get there early or you won't have a seat. The TV's almost never worked and had to be reset every time you turned them on. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were sufficient and living space was plenty. Overall, a little too touristy for us, but if that's you thing, this is a great spot.

Spring Break Trip

My family and I stayed 5 nights for a Spring Break trip. It was my husband, myself, and our 2 boys, ages 19 and 15. The boys weren't thrilled with the bunk beds, but they made them work! The condo was super clean when we arrived. Check-in was fast and efficient at 11:00 pm! Great location, within walking distance to John's Pass with good restaurants and shopping. The walk to the beach across the street is easy as well. Relaxing balcony looking east at the boat traffic in the waterway. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Great location to nearby dining and entertainment

Overall we had a great stay and really enjoyed Madeira Beach, except for the fact that when I called about maintenance needed in the unit, I never received a phone call back after leaving a message. We ended up buying the items ourselves to fix the problem as we couldn't go the whole week with an inoperable bathroom appliance. Also, the vacuum cleaner in the unit does not pick up anything. It should be replaced.

Weekend Gathering

We got together with 3 adults for the weekend and this was a comfortable spot for that. Nice rooms with a beautiful view of the Marina Below and St. Petersburg in the distance. Very convenient to the beach, John's Pass is directly South, and everything else in Madeira Beach is pretty much walkable. Perfect for enjoying everythign Madeira Beach has to offer.

This is a beautiful property with incredible views, friendly staff and easy check in. The only negative for us was the elevator. Having only one, very slow moving elevator made for a 5-15 minute wait for a ride to or from the 7th floor every time. Perhaps the one elevator could be sped up or improved in some way.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Area is wonderful. You can walk to everything. Amazing beach and shops. Lots of restaurants. Indoor things to do in the rain that you can walk to. Room was comfortable. We felt very safe. I would definitely stay again.

Just as advertised

The property was nice and clean. The location was great. I felt secure. 1707 is on the 7th floor. This is the top floor. We were able to walk to the beach and to St John's Pass. The view of the marina and the water was nice as well. I would stay here again and recommend it. Recommendations...bring laundry detergent and toiletries. We also wore our masks outside if the room. Others did not. But No other complaints.

Exactly as described

We had a wonderful stay! Everything was exactly as described in the listing. Beds were super comfy, condo was clean, everything worked. The only complaints I can find was the elevator. Being just one in the building we Spent a lot of time waiting. Otherwise our stay was great!!

Pros: The location was great. Having a washing machine and dryer in unit was convenient. The condo was directly across the street from the beach. The condo was well stocked with cleaning agents and dishes. Cons: This was not like a hotel. The toilette paper and paper towels were restocked by us. The bathroom still had hair in the shower. Springs were missing from couch bed and I had to replace some that we found under the couch. The dishes were half washed. The TVs and cable were difficult to use. Bunk beds were kind of squeaky. Pool was very small but if your at the beach often you won’t use it anyways. Overall our our experience was good and it served its purpose. I would stay again and clean it like we did. I’d give it 8 of 10 rating.
