Sandy Shores 207 Side Unit on the Beach

This beautifully decorated 2 bedroom 2 bath condo is recently updated with all the comforts of home and offers scenic views of the beach and Gulf of Mexico. This Unit has Flat screen TV's in all rooms and has a nicely equipped kitchen for your cooking needs. The master bedroom has 2 Queen Beds. The guest bedroom has two twin beds.

Bed linens and bath towels are provided for up to 6 guests in the condo.

Coin operated laundry is available on each floor.

As a John's Pass Condo's guest you will have access to our office services such as printing boarding passes, sending and receiving faxes. We also have on site maintenance to handle repairs in your condo if necessary. Come and enjoy the beautiful beach and the attractions which include John's Pass Village and Boardwalk with its many shops, cafe, restaurants, fishing charters directly across the street from our condos, via a protected crosswalk. This is a non smoking accommodation.

There is one assigned parking spot available for this unit.

Resort, Pool and Direct Access to Beach Very Nice. Room itself 207 needs some help. It wasn't very clean, wads of hair in the shower drains, stains on the shower curtains, etc. Kitchen not stocked for guest at all. No potholders, no baking sheets, no dish towels, etc. Fridge has a whole shelf missing reducing space to keep groceries cold.Picture online showed a K-Cup Coffee maker, nope regular pot of coffee, had to go back to the store.I would return to this resort just try a different room.

Location is a plus but condo cleanliness and owner replies leave something to be desired.

We gave this a try because we love the location of the property but disappointed. After staying the 2nd year in a row at this location (not same unit) we will be looking elsewhere next year. Nic's lack of reply to issues at the property is mainly why I am writing this review. I made him aware of all the things prior to our checkout on Sunday - it's Wed afternoon and no reply. At the time of booking, we made him aware that there would be 2 seperate arrivals and inquired about check-in. His reply was no early check in but he would not wait until 4pm to send check in instructions. We received at 3:40 but only after I messaged asking for them. When my in-laws got there, it was much less than pictures showed. I'm not sure if Nic is aware of his cleaning crew or not but a long message to him after our check out hopefully made him aware and they are able to make some changes for the next renters. We had 5 people and only had enough towels for 4, NONE of the TV's worked, said it was spectrum building issue, it was not - I believe his dad had to come and help get it to work and only did it when he signed in to his acct. The floor was so dirty it made our feet black so shoes had to be worn even after the shower to feel clean. Doors so dirty from entry to bedrooms. Blood spot on door w/hand print, dirt, hair etc on trim, light switches, cleaning envelopes left for tips. Stuff on walls, doors. All pics attached but dirty feet. I could say more but mostly disappointed at lack of care.

A little slice of heaven

The condo was perfect. Just as pictured. We are a family of four with 2 kiddos under 5. They loved their room and the beds were super comfortable. The condo was spacious and well equipped. The only thing additional we could have asked for were beach towels but we purchased our own while in town at Walmart for 5 each. The beach was beautiful with stunning blue water. We enjoyed the pool as well. The location could not be better with John’s pass just across the street. We wouldn’t definitely stay again.

Unfortunately the condo fell short of our expectations, one trash bag for our family of 6 for 4 days. Kitchen was meager. Miss matching pots, pans and utensils. Could use a deeper clean. Good hot water though, good peek a boo view. Laundry onsite was convenient. Overall we would stay again.

Don’t pick this unit

When we checked into the unit, it had not been cleaned. I sent a message to the host as this is a private owned unit and have yet to get a response. We went and bought our own cleaning supplies and spent the night cleaning the unit ourselves, even replacing a shower liner as the previous one was pink/red with bacteria. I had to wash the sheets on the bed as there was visible sand/dirt. There was fuzzy stuff growing in the coffee filter that had not been discarded.

Needs maintenance and a deep clean

The toilet was broken at check-in, despite reporting it within 5 min of checking in, it was not fixed for the entire 4 nights of our stay - despite reaching out to after hours line, the regular office (by phone and email) as well as the owner. Emergency after hours said they couldn't help since it was 7pm - call back in the morning. Called back to Johns Pass Condos and the woman i spoke with told me i needed to submit the issues in writing via email. Shortly after the email, a cleaning person was sent to clean the floors. She acknowledged that the place needed a deep clean, but, the owner has not authorized that service. We found numerous little things beyond the broken toilet - like orange mold/flim in the shower, candy wrappers under the beds and in the closet, a pantyliner sticker from a swimsuit stuck to the side of the coffee table, a blood stained pillow case, a missing glass shelf in the fridge, and a very leaky dishwasher. The walls and doors also are in need of a proper cleaning and touch up. There's a noticeable grease spot above the stove. None of these things individually are a huge deal, but, together, with the lack of care for a broken toilet - shows clear disregard for regular maintenance and deep cleaning. All this said, the condo is in a prime location directly across from John's Pass and on the beach. The pool area is nice, with plenty of chairs. But, I have another trip booked next month and chose to go with a different property.

Great location and included many amenities

Property was very clean and very conveniently located to beach and walking to John's Pass. Very comfortable seating in LR, good size kitchen, all needed appliances and beach items, to include beach chairs, boogie boards, extra fans and pillows. I saw an ironing board but didnt find iron. Ac worked great as long as you follow the directions which we did, such as keeping curtains closed during day. Large seating area on patio. Only slight inconvenience was not knowing the 600 numbered parking spaces were for visitors. We had multiple cars and didnt think we had more than 1 possible space to park when we arrived. That said, the assigned space is under cover and shaded. There are also a few 1 hour parking spots by elevator for unloading and they had hotel style carts for transferring your luggage to your condo which was very much appreciated! I would definitely stay again and was very happy here. Great vacation for Mom, friend and a couple older children and friends.

Nice location!

We were right across the street from John' Pass, so restaurant and shops were directly across the street. The pool was nice and clean, and the beach was too. We saw beautiful sunsets, and the manatees showed up which was super cool to see! This location is close to Treasure Island, St. Pete, Clearwater Beach, as well as Downtown St. Petersburg, which has a great pier/park area.

Great location not so clean condo

The condo was in a great location. The condo property itself is rundown. Could use a great painting…. Especially hallways and doors. The elevator broke down for a good 24 hours. Our condo was just dirty. That’s all I can say. It just really needed a deep cleaning, between the vents and the floors Fence was disgusting. There’s mold around the bathtubs. Broken towel holders dustballs under the beds. I have pictures, but it will not let me share them.

We stayed for the night! It was clean, and super close to the beach. Also the communication was great through email! There also a lot of great food choices walkable distance. The pool was super clean as well! Amazing property and stay!

Very nice stay...we would come back

I'll start by saying that we would definitely stay there again. a) Great location across the street from John's Pass with its restaurants and shops; b) Clean condo and furniture is nice; c) Beach area was very nice. If I can add a suggestion for the owners is to take care of the little details as it will go a long way, for example: both towel racks are loose and fall, kitchen cabinet doors are very loose, light bulbs in master bathroom mirror some are white light others are warmer lights. Small details that cheapen an otherwise nice looking apartment. Also, there is 1 beach chair and no sand toys for kids...not a deal breaker for sure but we've had them in other condos and it's a non-expensive way to spruce up the guest experience. That said, those are just suggestions and we would definitely go back to that condo.

Girl's Getaway

We enjoyed a girl's weekend at Sandy Shores! The location was perfect as we did not have a rental car and almost everything we needed was in walking distance. The Bamboo Beach Bar was one of our favorites for dinner, drinks, and dancing to live music on Friday night. Mad Beach Cantina was another favorite. Sloppy Joe's for brunch was great, but a 1.6 mile walk was a little long for us - we ended up Ubering back to the condo afterwards. Being right on the beach was fantastic and the pool area was great to hang out at as well. The condo is roomy and the bedroom set-ups were perfect for a group of friends. Everyone had their own bed. The pillows should probably be replaced soon, a few were paper thin. Not that it was terrible, but the cleaning crew definitely takes short cuts. The floor throughout the condo was covered in sand, even before any of us had stepped in any to drag in. This left us not wanting to walk barefoot at all - one barefoot walk through the apartment and the bottom of your feet are covered and look dirty. It would be an easy fix, but we could not find a broom or vacuum in the condo to try to clean it up ourselves. Also, there were pieces of trash in the bathroom cans under the bags that we had to remove, even though there's a warning that there will be a charge if any garbage left behind. Also a new bathing suit liner was found stuck to the side of one of the twin beds. As suggested, bring or buy extra toilet paper and paper towels for your stay.

Girls Trip

One of the best trips ever taken! The condo was great with an amazing pool area. Bouns there were chairs and an umbrella in the closet. Walk right out to the beach and an comfy balcony we spent a lot of time out there. Nice, quiet and peaceful... sand could be an issue though as it was slippery on the floor

Great Location

The condo location was great. The amenities were perfect for our family. Place was well decorated and updated. Only negative was that the floors were very dirty. If we didn’t wear shoes, our feet became black after walking around for a couple of minutes. Kind of made sleeping in the beds feel dirty too. Otherwise, everything was great!
