Elegant Ground Floor Apartment in Historic Centre

L'Appartement des Papillons is an elegant ground floor apartment in an historic 14th century stone building, ideally located right in the centre of picturesque Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, footsteps to everything in the village, including restaurants, cafes, bars, museums, galleries, boutiques, bakeries, grocery stores etc.

Totally renovated and decorated in an elegant Provençal style with modern conveniences throughout, this luxurious apartment offers 2 double bedrooms each with ensuite bathroom, well-equipped kitchen and spacious dining and living areas - all on the street entry level without any steps.

The authentic limestone walls and travertine flooring keep this apartment cool in the warmer months. If needed there are air conditioning units in the main living areas, and cooling fans for the bedrooms. When the weather is cooler wall-mounted radiators keep the apartment very cosy.

PARKING
Guests can have access to a secure parking space located about 200 metres from the apartment. After your reservation is confirmed we can provide more details if you would like to park there.
There is a free public carpark about 300 metres away. It's located behind the Police Municipale in avenue de la Liberation.
Metre parking can often be found in the streets nearby or in the carpark opposite the church. You will need to take a ticket from the machine and display it on your dashboard. The first 45 minutes are free and then it's 2€ per hour 9am-7pm. It's free from 7pm-9am. Be aware of any signs with "stationnement interdit" as it's forbidden to park here on the days/times shown, especially from 6am-3pm on Wednesdays when the weekly market is on.

Karen's apartment is exactly as pictured and described on VRBO. The aparrtment is beautifully decorated, the beds are comfortable, and it was great to have two full baths with walk-in showers for our party of 3.The location is perfect for visiting St. Remy, which is a bustling market town with excellent access to other sites in Provence such as the Luberon hill towns, Avignon, Arles, Les Baux, the Pont de Gard and Nimes. It was nice to be able to walk out the door and be within a few yards of restaurants, shopping and markets. It was also nice to have access to a dedicated parking space within a short walk, as having a car is the most convenient way to explore Provence.

In the Heart of St Remy

We stayed 10 days in this exceptional apartment. It’s been beautifully renovated. The furnishings are high quality and comfortable, especially the beds. The kitchen is well stocked. Apartment was immaculate. The location could not have been better as it was truly in the heart of center village. The biggest bonus was the private parking space. We had one minor issue just after checking in late on a Saturday but the host met us within 5 minutes to completely address it. I’d highly recommend this apartment. We loved it!!!

Center of St Remy

As advertised. Ground floor apartment beautifully decorated. Well stocked kitchen dishes and utensils. Very comfortable stay - even in the extreme heat while we were there. A special treat was the floor window looking down into the original stone foundation. We walked everywhere. Lots of great restaurants and shops nearby. Truly right in the center of the old town. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent Facility

We thoroughly enjoyed the facilities and location after some challenges to get parked because of the carnival that was going on. The good outweighed all of the bad. Karen was extremly responsive and helpful!! Will stay again if visiting.

Absolutely Fabulous Property, Host and Town

We had an exceptional stay at this property. You can tell that Karen truly cares about the guests' experience from her remarkable attention to detail. She went above and beyond our expectations. The apartment is truly gorgeous, newly renovated and extremely clean. Communication was terrific and the informational handbook in the apartment is very well put together. Beds were nice, firm and comfortable with quality crisp cotton sheets and pillow cases. Bathrooms were well stocked including generously sized plush quality cotton towels. Saint Remy is a delight to explore and walk around. The location is amazing, right in the heart of town and well located for excursions out of town. Cafes, restaurants & shops are all just around the corner and there are even more within walking distance. Only seconds away from grocery stores like SPAR. Surprisingly, very quiet for such a central location!

Fabulous Apartment

The St Remy apartment was indeed fabulous! Very spacious with washer & dryer, A/C, TV with English channels and fully furnished kitchen with dishwasher. It’s centrally located with lots of shops and restaurants close by.
