Everything about this sweet inn was delightful...the decor, the staff, the whole ambiance. The bed was SO comfortable and the tub was luxurious with great water pressure and HOT water. Would love to stay again!

We got tired of staying at cookie cutter airport hotels, so we tried a change of pace. This is a historical inn that fit the bill for us. We had a lovely room with a 4 poster bed and a cooked to order breakfast in their cozy dining room. We saw the nearby castle and met some nice residents. We thoroughly enjoyed our step back in time.

Nice and quiet. Spacious rooms but could be a little cleaner (dust, etc.). Also recommend having a separate check in desk that isn’t in the restaurant area.

Flott Hotel men i en veldig trafikkert gate. Stor trafikk hele natten. Veldig varmt rom uten aircondition, riktignok med en enorm vifte som bare gav stiv kuling. Ikke et minutts søvn den natten.ø

A Pleasant Stay for Overnight Business Trip
A nice place on the edge of town and on a main road. Room very comfortable and roomy with a huge bed. Had to switch around a couple of light bulbs which had clearly blown, and there was no milk, but that's being picky. A fridge and some drawer space would probably be useful for a longer-term stay. Parking is off-site, and it costs (not a lot) for anytime outside the 1700-0800 window; as such, mildly inconvenient. Restaurant in the hotel is excellent and well worth using rather than going out.

What a great find
What a find. A great get away, a four poster bed, several restaurants around. Better than staying at Stansted Airport. Super friendly staff and owner.

Stayed here when flying out of Stansted the next day. The room is enormous and has the most glorious bath tub and a king sized bed. Some road traffic noise, but not too bad. Blackout curtains. Delicious breakfast made to order and included. Enjoyed my stay. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, providing me toothpaste and a charger adapter for my US phone cord.

This is my second time at the linden house hotel, my partner and I love going there for a bit of quite time and that’s exactly what we get. I requested a different room this time and it was perfect. We shall definitely be going back there again soon

The hotel was beautiful, and our room (no.9) was loverly but the bathroom really really smelt of damp and mould, we had to open all the windows, all the staff were friendly and let us check in early which was amazing

All the rooms were different in this period property.stayed in room 4 and it was lovely.hot room but fan was provided.the different levels between barhroom and bedroom could be downright dangerous if you were half asleep.however it was well sign posted.akk in all a good stay.

Had a great stay for one night on 4th may 2019 hotel staff were friendly and helpful room was fantastic ed was a queen size loads of room and even had a free standing bath in our room breakfast was excellent only criticism is that the carpark is a public carpark over the road apart from this was an excellent stay

very clean and tidy hotel, only gripe i had was the bathroom ceiling all the paint was hanging down off the ceiling, and the light didnt turn off. Parking is in a public car park around the corner about 300 yards too

Lovely beautiful place but a shame about noise
The staff was very helpful my room was really lovely and very clean and the bed was so comfy. I stayed here on a Sunday evening before I had an early morning flight from Stansted so I needed to be up at 3am so stayed down the night before so I didn't have far to travel and go to bed early and get a good night's sleep !! My room was amazing and had everything u could want the only down side was they had a private function in the courtyard which was near my bedroom window and unfortunately I didn't get hardly any sleep I closed the window but could still hear the noise and even after the guests left I could not sleep as the clearing up started and staff talking and noise from the cleari g up !! i think i finally had about an hours sleep before I had to leave for the airport !! It was such a shame as it is truly a lovely place and the rooms where beautifully decorated and so clean and I would defiantly stay again as long as there where no functions on. I didnt expect this being a Sunday night and it would have be nice to be advised when I booked the room or checked in !! If it hadn't have been for this I'm sure I would have had a perfect stay and would defiantly recommend this lovely place but would advise to check there will be no functions the night you stay if your room backs onto the courtyard !!

Such comfortable beds! Bath and shower were also exceptional and loads of hot water and plenty of soft, good sized towells. Delicious breakfast.
