Welcome to Bubby’s Hillside Bungalow, a cozy pet-friendly cabin tucked into the trees in Red River Gorge, just 2.4 miles from the Nada Tunnel. This peaceful hillside retreat was designed for couples, small families, dog owners, hikers, climbers, and anyone looking for a relaxing cabin stay close to the best of the Gorge.

Inside, the cabin feels warm, updated, and thoughtfully decorated, with vaulted ceilings, wood details, comfortable furnishings, and inviting spaces to relax after a day of exploring. The living room is a cozy place to unwind, featuring a 50" smart TV, electric fireplace, board games, card games, books, a standard couch, and a pull-out sofa with built-in storage for extra bedding. There is also a small workstation downstairs, making it easy to catch up on emails, work remotely, or plan your next Red River Gorge adventure.

The fully stocked kitchen is ready for cooking, snacking, and slow mornings at the cabin. You’ll have a refrigerator, electric range and oven, ice maker, pots, pans, baking ware, olive oil, seasonings, and basic cleaning supplies. The coffee bar is set up for easy mornings with a coffee maker, Keurig, ground coffee, coffee pods, tea, sugar, and creamer so you can start the day slowly before heading out to explore. Please note that the cabin does not have a dishwasher.

Upstairs, the bedroom is designed for a quiet, restful stay. It features a very comfortable queen bed, blackout curtains, a smart TV, dresser, hooks, nightstands with outlets and USB ports, and a cozy seating area perfect for reading or winding down.

The bathroom is stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, makeup towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hair dryer. The double-headed shower is perfect after a long hike or a slow morning at the cabin, while the shelves, mirror, and plenty of hooks make it easy to settle in and keep your things within reach.

Outside, enjoy the kind of cabin experience people come to Red River Gorge for. Soak in the hot tub under the trees, relax on the covered front deck, enjoy the back deck overlooking the wooded hillside, gather around the fire pit, or spend a quiet evening under the string lights. The wooded setting gives you room to slow down, while still keeping you close to popular trails, restaurants, coffee shops, Natural Bridge, Nada Tunnel, and other Red River Gorge attractions.

Getting to the Cabin
The road leading up to the cabin is steep but fully paved, and easy to navigate in any vehicle under normal conditions. In wet or icy weather, please drive with extra caution on the incline. Our driveway is also paved — it's flat, long, and narrow, so you'll need to back out when you leave, as there isn't room to turn around.

Bubby’s Hillside Bungalow is dog friendly for up to 2 well-behaved dogs, so your furry friends can enjoy the getaway too. The cabin also includes fast WiFi, a washer and dryer, starter supplies, hot tub towels, outdoor seating, and thoughtful touches throughout to make your stay easy, comfortable, and memorable.
