I stayed here with 6 other adults (7 of us total) for a group ski trip and we had a great time! Although the room setup was a little weird upstairs (you have to walk through the master bedroom to get to the small loft room, and the bathroom sinks are in the bedroom), people didn't seem to mind and there seemed to be plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was a little cramped if a lot of people were trying to use it at once, but it was nice and well-stocked with good appliances. We really liked the sauna, if a little small (fits about 3 people at once). Check-in and -out was very easy. The condo overall was clean and in good condition, and very cozy with lots of blankets and pillows. We overall very much enjoyed our stay.The only thing we were not happy with was the advertised free shuttle service. It is true that there is a free shuttle that you can use to get anywhere in town or to the resort, but it sometimes had wait times up to 2 hours, so it ended up being kind of useless, especially for skiing. It's possible wait times might be less if you reserve in advance, but we didn't think to try that. Luckily, the condo is only about a half mile from Thunderhead lift, and it was a pretty easy walk up the road to get there. So we just ended up walking to go ski and it was fine.

Disappointed

There is no way to get to the SKi mountain without a car - no shuttle service. This is not clear in the review. Walking is not safe and not an option - misleading. The pans are all scratched up leaving teflon coating getting into food. The pans are not useable - not safe. The loft bed can only be accessed by walking through a bedroom, this was not clear. It is not off the living area, it requires walking through a bed room.

No Shuttle service

The welcome email has schedule for the shuttle that does not exist. We waited an hour and called the shuttle company to be told that the owner did not renew the contract. One of the main reasons we selected this property during ski season. We did finally get a call back from the property mgr, but it was too late.The twin bunk bed mattresses are probably original from the 1970s. Incredibly uncomfortable. Everything else was fine.

Great place to Stay if you have the budget

The best part of this place is its location—just a 10-15 minute walk to the Thunderhead Express at Steamboat Ski Resort. The house is very clean and spacious, with a fantastic sauna that was a great way to relax after skiing. The fireplace was also a nice touch, quickly drying off our wet gloves. However, the bunk beds in the basement could use some maintenance, as they are too small for adults and too tall for kids to climb into safely.

Great ski weekend

We had a great stay at the Winterwood property. The unit was spacious and had all the necessary amenities. Clean and cozy. Plenty of towels and blankets. The shuttle to ski mountain was a huge plus! Would definitely come back here again!

New appliances!

Tuesday 7/11 to Thursday 7/13 The condo was very nice and clean when we got there, it was all good until we where told that on Wednesday morning they would be putting in new appliances (this was 7/11 that we where told this) we where only there for 2 night! We got a text at about 11:30 that they would be there in 10 min. We had plans for the day so we all told them that we where leaving. When we got back at 9:30 pm that night all of our food (that we had for our late dinner) was sitting out on the counter and ruined, all of our drinks where hot. The counters where full of pots and pans and other things that they had taken out of the cupboards. The old refrigerator had a ice maker, the new did not so we had no ice. The water line from the ice maker was tapped to the wall and hanging in the sink. When you turned on the water (and only hot water came out) it shot out of the tube all over the place. The whole kitchen was very dirty and grimy, the floor had all kinds of dirt on it. No one from the management group had even check on the work and made sure everything was in good working order. We called and texted the numbers that we had for the management group and we got no reply until 7 am the next morning. We where told that no one mans the phones after hours! We ended up driving back into town at 10 pm trying to find some place to eat. They have said they would give us some credit for our inconvenience but a week later I have not received anything yet.

Perfect Summer Lodge

Its a beautiful location and the condo is close to town but far enough away so that it is very quiet. We loved the back deck for enjoying coffee in the morning and a cocktail in the evening. The propane grill is new and worked great. The place is cozy overall and my girlfriend loved the sauna, especially. We would definitely stay here again.

Burgess Creek Condo

This townhouse has a great location. Common areas are spacious. Linens were old and had some spots, except pillow cases which were crispy. Towels were clean and plentiful. No clothes storge in the "primary" - perhaps move the mounds of blankets and put a small two drawer dresser in the closet. Curtains provided very little privacy. Nice patio/deck off he family room.

Spring Break 23

Great property as advertised. The shuttle to the lift was perfect. It is a little too far to walk, I’d estimate 3/4 mile. Sauna is great part of the unit. Upstairs bedroom is just interesting in that you have to go through the master, through the bathroom to get to it. We didn’t use as we didn’t have enough people. Kitchen is equiped with all you need. Knives as others have said are a bit dull.

A bit secluded, great loft, super clean!

Very true to description. Enjoyed the slightly more remote location and hiking trail across the street. Very clean and nicely appointed. Towels were pretty scratchy, window coverings not the greatest, and no coffee provided. All in all though, a very lovely place and loft was super cute, would be great for kids.

Lots of wildlife

The property was just as picture but it doesn’t do it justice as to what it looks like in person. Great neighborhood. We saw some bears and a momma moose with her two babies. This was all off the deck and front seating area. Very clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend.

Close to town

The property is very close to town, easy access to food and activities. It is very quiet and the back balcony has a view of the greens. The property is very clean because shoes are not allowed inside. Plenty of plates, silverware and glasses. Unfortunately there are only 2 small frying pans big enough to fry eggs. Lots of pots. Enough beds to accommodate 8-9 people. The small bedroom off the master bedroom is very neat. There is a pull up sofa bed. The washer and dryer are adequate, although it takes two runs for the dryer to dry clothes. There is no AC in the house, but in the evening the weather is cool enough to open the windows. There is not enough dining chairs, there are only 3 chairs, but we found one wobbly chair and two metal folding chairs in the closet to use. Note: This is probably a problem with housekeeping that day, but on the first day when we arrived, we found about half of towels are still wet and damp.

Cute Condo

The condo was clean and had a well-stocked kitchen. It is in a great location and easy to get to town and stores. We had a little mouse scurry across the kitchen floor the first day we were there (not uncommon for field mice to make their way into homes in this area), we named him Ralph. We were going to contact management but didn't see Ralph again for the rest of the trip. All in all, enjoyable place, check-in and out was super simple. I would recommend for a small family stay.

Amazing Location in Steamboat

This was our first time to Steamboat and were happy with our choice to stay at this property. We mainly wanted to hike and explore the area and some great hiking trails were just around the corner. The place was cozy and had everything we needed. We would definitely return to the area and would return to this location if the mattresses were upgraded. I am more intolerant than most when it comes to sleeping and I need a good bed ;)

Full of amenities!

It was very nice to have a place that had all the little extra touches such as tissues, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, and toiletries! So many VRBOS's we have rented in the past you have to immediately go to the grocery store right away which really stinks!
