  • Rest and relax in this classic Steamboat Springs top-floor studio loft condo on the knoll in the center of it all after a day on the mountain, in the water, or on the town. The cozy living room with lots of natural light has vaulted ceilings, a matching leather sleeper sofa and leather recliner, large native moss rock, a gas fireplace, and a flatscreen TV. This home boasts an open floor plan and dark hardwood floors for a modern and rustic chic feel. It's well decorated with new, matching English chestnut-stained aspen wood living room furniture, including a four-seat dining set perfect for enjoying home-cooked meals. The furnished balcony affords amazing views of Emerald Mountain, the Yampa Valley, and the historic Arnold Barn, so your morning coffee will be extra pleasant from this vantage point, and you won't want to miss the vibrant western sunsets. The open kitchen has granite countertops, newer cabinets, and updated white appliances, perfect for whipping up any meal. A spacious loft, accessible by ladder-like stairs with supportive handrails, features a queen bed, dresser, and more views. Guests can soak in one of the two outdoor hot tubs, dip in the heated year-round pool, barbecue on one of two community gas grills, or dine outside on a picnic table in the renovated pool area as the Wildhorse Gondola passes overhead.

During the spring, summer, fall, or winter, you can hike, swim, tube, bike, golf, watch a rodeo, ride in a hot air balloon, fish, hunt, snowshoe, ski, or snowboard in the area. Part of The West condo complex at the base of Steamboat Resort, it's walking distance to Gondola Square, the slopes, the Outlaw mountain coaster, Wild Plum Market, numerous bars and restaurants, and the free town shuttle at the Gondola Transit Center. Wildhorse Marketplace, Central Park Plaza, and downtown Steamboat are just down the hill, where you'll find more dining and shopping options, art galleries, recreation, and the Old Town Hot Springs, which includes a fitness center, climbing wall, classes, and childcare. The more natural Strawberry Park Hot Springs is a short, scenic drive away.

Unit was clean and compact with a well-stocked kitchen for our meals. The walk to the village and ski lifts was easy, what a blessing to not need the car.

Location is perfect!

We enjoyed our stay- a short walk to the mountain, and kids loved the heated pool and hot tub.

Our stay was nice and comfortable, it wasn’t super clean tho… tried to contact someone about it but no answer. Perfect amount of space for the 2 of us and enjoyed coffee on the balcony

Annual trip tot the Boat

Great place to stay, when they say right across the street from the village. Walk across the parking lot down a sidewalk, and your their. Perfect for a couple or a friend clean great views of the Valley. Going downtown ? Pick up the bus from the village.. would for sure stay again.

Cute unit with well-stocked kitchen and comfortable furniture, bed and sofa bed. Can’t beat the location-we were able to walk to the base for a hike, had easy access to restaurants and caught an outdoor movie. Woke up to hot air balloons in full view right off the deck. Great views from the hot tub as well. Unit was clean and well cared for. Would highly recommend.

Cozy condo. Just what we needed. I do recommend walking to gondola area in street shoes and use the lockers. A bit too far to walk in ski boots.

Owner Canceled Less than 24hrs Before Stay

We never got to stay in this property. Vacasa contacted us less than 24hrs before our stay to let us know the owner was staying in the property and wouldn’t honor our reservation. Vacasa had to rebook us to a new property.

Great location, awesome unit!

Location is awesome, walked to/from the square each day with kids. So glad to not have to wait for a shuttle at the end of a day of skiing! Unit itself was fantastic. We stayed there with a family of 4, two adults + two kids. It felt very clean and the layout worked great for us all week. We had planned to have the kids sleep upstairs, but the stairs were so steep that we opted to have them sleep on the sofa bed downstairs instead. Free parking in the lot for our rental car, just be sure to get a parking pass from the office. Hot tub and pool were nice also. Pool was heated enough for the kids to swim a couple times in the middle of the winter. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Steamboat Wedding Weekend

Perfect cozy condo for me and my husband to use as a base camp while in town for a wedding. Condo was as advertised, couches were comfy, and the kitchen was fully stocked. At check-in, the key code provided was wrong but Vacasa staff was able to find the right code after a few minutes. The required parking pass was not in the unit. We were told that it wasn’t needed in summer, but every other car had one displayed, so that was a little unsettling. There was no information about pool access so we had to break in every time we wanted to use the hot tub. Otherwise, great stay and we would go back.

Small, but adequate condo

Place was pretty tiny and tight, but worked for a one night stopover. Vacasa was very immediately responsive when we couldn’t find code for pool. That should be left in unit. And it was extremely warm so we couldn’t sleep up in loft area. Had to use couch foldout in living room which was fine. Curious as to why you can’t use ceiling fan without light? Wasn’t great for sleeping! Lots of fans and a couple coolers were there so that helped, but I’d get an electrician to fix that fan issue!

Avoid in the summer

We were so disappointed in this unit that we left three nights early. The room has no a/c, a critical detail that is buried 540 words into the listing. The lack of A/C or meaningful airflow made the room uninhabitable— even with windows open and multiple box fans running, the room temperature reached 86 degrees (!!!). The property manager was condescending and unconcerned, replying, “This is Colorado.” In addition to the 86 degree room, the shower head was broken, the room was dusty, and a few of the doors had some types of gouges in them. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had as a traveler.

Cozy condo! Loft not for the faint of heart

We had a very enjoyable stay at this exceptionally cute and cozy condo. It has a retro vibe and a fabulous view of the mountain. We found it very comfortable and functional. It was overall very clean, but there were a lot of live wasps in the loft bedroom when we arrived, as well as a handful of dead bugs in the tub and on the floor in the loft. The live wasps were a little bit of a hassle to catch and remove, and they showed up again the next day, so it seems like they are getting in someplace. This definitely didn't spoil our stay, though - we had a great stay overall and would absolutely go back! Older folks, folks with disabilities, and anyone with a strong fear of heights should be forewarned that the stairs to the loft are extremely steep, more like a ladder - they add to the charm, but are definitely not for the faint of heart! We found it advisable to turn on an overhead light when needing to descend them to use the bathroom at night. Lastly, the driving directions from highway 40 provided by the host are a little misleading and need to be updated: they say "if you reach the traffic circle you've gone too far," but it turns out that a second traffic circle has been built since those directions were written, so, you do in fact need to pass through one traffic circle when coming from highway 40 before you will reach the turnoff for the property, but if you reach a second traffic circle, then you've gone too far.

Not as Advertised

We chose this property to have a quiet (off season) weekend in Steamboat, watch movies and football in front of a cozy fire. First of all, the buidling is surrounded by a construction site so the view is not as good as advertised and the noise level is very high due to construction vehicles right outside. We were willing to let that go. Then we realized the fireplace didn't work. In addition, both of the TVs weren't working. We finally got someone to come and fix the fireplace over about half of our stay was over. The TVs were never fixed. I had to send many text messages for service, and yet they never fixed the TVs. My partner and I had to go out to watch the game, couldn't enjoy any quiet alone time due to the construction, didn't have a fire more than half the time and had zero entertainment in the unit, requiring us to go out for any entertainment, which was not the intention of our stay. To make matters worse, the management company wouldn't do anything to make the situation right so don't expect any kind of a refund if you find the property not as advertised (as we did). Customer service was terrible. Also, the ladder to the loft is treacherous with the stone fireplace at the bottom extremely close so if you do fall, expect to hit a stone wall. I am very surprised there haven't been any accidents because of the way the stairs/ladder is set up. Overall, we were unable to enjoy our stay, which is a shame since it is a cute, clean unit, Buyer beware!
