I understand expectations vary by guest and I accept that. A 2-star review, when the first sentence is we loved it, clean, great view…. except the bed didn’t meet guests’ preference for a 2-night stay, …. Puzzling. I can’t recall in 7 years of hospitality, that I’ve been labeled an unkind person without integrity and renters warned to beware. My guests have been provided jump starts, flat tires fixed, help looking for pets that have run off, provided cold medicine from my home late at night and many other gestures I’ve offered without hesitation. In this case, I offered other cabin choices that were refused without even consideration as he mentioned, also I intended to purchase a foam mattress topper, but the guest left before I had the opportunity. The only remedy to be accepted was a refund- and of urgent expectancy. A bit of the timeline was omitted in the review, my delay in responding after his departure was Thanksgiving spent with my family, and Friday was preparing for guests arriving for the weekend. By Saturday, before I could sit at my computer, the message to me was…. """Are you going to issue a refund? We are retred and on a fixed income. This was a special event for my wife's birthday which was basically over in hours. The place was beautiful however, I cannot give a good review unless you make it right. Are you going to refund?""""" I felt I did (and intended to do) everything possible to rectify this situation. Unfortunately, any offers of alternative options were not satisfying, and the underrated review was forthcoming as I did not provide a refund. A negative review didn’t warrant what the property itself represents. I promise I’m not hateful or I wouldn’t be in business for 8 years maintaining high reviews on all 9 of our properties on multiple advertising platforms and social media as well as the large return guest base we have established. It is always my pleasure to share our properties with those visiting the Lake Eufaula area and look forward to hosting those reading this review.

We appreciate your review and are happy your time was relaxing & comfortable. There is a handbook in the cabin which provides guests property amenities and area attractions, which may have improved your experience even more at our property since some of the issues in your feedback may have been resolved. Although there is no oven as mentioned in the listing, many other smaller appliances are offered to cook items you might normally bake. The grill also substitutes very well for an oven and is what we used while living in that cabin. Ice is available to purchase if the trayed ice isn't sufficient for your needs. November is definitely a more kick back and relax month at the lake, so happy to hear it was a quiet retreat for you and your pet:)
