This waterfront property is so lovely. The home was tidy and clean with ample space for gathering. the spiral staircase was a bit odd, although I was able to climb up and down, some of our group was unable to access the second floor bedroom -- but there were ample sleeping spaces downstairs -- between the two bedrooms downstairs and the couches. This home is easily a five-star property.

The location of the house was great, loved being by the water! We understand it is a older home, but there are a few things that could be redone like the patio in the back and the bathroom downstairs needs new flooring. We were only there 4 nights and I did fill the dishwasher but there was no soap to wash with. If we had stayed longer I would have been happy to buy some. Thanks, Suzan

Great location and comfortable home!

We had a great time at Gina’s place. You can not beat the location. The house was a comfortable size for my family gathering of my husband and I, mom and dad, and aunt and uncle.The furniture was comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with everything you need to cook a large meal with nice pots and pans. If you need spices for cooking, make sure to bring them.There was ample parking and easy access to the water on the Sacramento River and the little channel on the other side of the island. Both sides have a dock, making it easy to get the kayaks and SUPs in and out of the water. We had a great time paddling around the island (a 1.25 mile loop on the water), Brannan Island state park and doing a run down the Mokelumne River. We drank coffee out on the dock every morning and ended each day by watching the sun set and the moon rise in the same place. It was perfect!The only bummer of the trip was the grass in the backyard. It was long when we showed up and the gardener never came, which made the grass area unusable the whole time we were there. As mentioned in a previous review, there is construction at the house next door. Thankfully it was only one morning and one afternoon. The rest of the time the neighborhood was very quiet. Gina is a super responsive host. We had a question when we first arrived and she got back to me very quickly. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back for our family trip next year. It was exactly what we had hoped for!

This was the perfect property for a family getaway. Boating was made super easy with the private dock. The kitchen was well stocked which made meals a breeze. Kids were able to entertain themselves in the yard. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Absolutely amazing. We have stayed many place but this is one we will be going back again and again. Talk about a stress reduction…this is the place. Very well stocked with ever you may need. The kitchen is perfect. Heck the whole house is amazing. Watching the boaters was a treat.

Delta summer trip

We had a great stay boating and going out to eat on the River. Very convenient for boating and the House was great. Back yard grass needed to be cut, but otherwise a wonderful time and we will be back next summer.

2nd time we stayed here. Great house and location. The dock outside the door is a huge draw. Unfortunately, the tides weren't in our favor and could not get the boat in or out for the majority of the day (11a - 4p) for 5 days due to low tide. Boat sat in the mud at the dock for hours.

Very nice open format that lets you enjoy the beautiful river view. Only complaints are that there were no directions for the stove which was new and we had never used this kind before and the dvd player was not hooked up and ready to use. It is a very good & private location which led to a very good relaxing time.

Nice place on the Delta

We had a 4 night stay to attend a wedding at the Grand Island Mansion which is actually over 10 miles away on narror poor roads with no lights so the drive was long. The home was ok, had ramdom personal items scattered all over and not the cleanest. Beds were very comfortable and linens & towels were clean. Unfortunately the yard was unusable with grass and weeds 2 ft high. Host was apologetic and refunded me 175. I think I was disappointed because I was hoping for a beautiful place and yard for my sons wedding weekend.

Rolling on the River

I had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful home situated on a small private island along the Sacramento River. The neighborhood was an unexpected gem, filled with luxury homes and serene surroundings. The house itself was well-updated, tastefully furnished, and boasted an incredible river view—a perfect retreat.The only minor inconvenience was that some dishes were not clean upon arrival. However, the dishwasher quickly resolved this, so it didn’t detract from the overall experience. A heads-up for future visitors: there’s ongoing roadwork nearby that could cause delays and detours, so be sure to check traffic updates in advance.All in all, this was a wonderful stay, and I’d gladly return on my next trip to the area. Highly recommend!

Wonderful property!

We had a small family gathering for the holidays, and it was just perfect. The home was large and comfortable, with lovely views of the water. We heard owls and coyotes nearby! Check in and out were a breeze. Would definitely recommend. One item - if you're not used to remote country roads, make sure to arrive during daylight hours - it's DARK out there!

Delta Diversion

Winter vacations in the Bay Area can be difficult to judge weatherwise. We got very lucky that the 2 full days were beautifully clear and mild after a very wet check-in day. We came to enjoy a Thanksgiving retreat before the actually Thanksgiving holiday crush. The house and surroundings are very nice. We did want to do some cooking using the oven and found that were only 2 loaf pans for oven cooking. The stove top has 2 full sets of pots and pans, which was more than enough. Also, not sure what was happening with the television, but it kept "rebuffering" every time we wanted to watch something, so long pauses in viewing, and that became frustrating. I'm sure these are simple fixes. Love this house and hope to come again.

Delta Boat Trip

Fabulous location; outstanding property. Launched our boat at Vieira's resort; it was a 5 minute boat ride to the house. Would definitely stay again.
