Although the property required updating and attention, the staff were very helpful and caring. My mum took ill during our stay and the staff were amazing and helpful. A great team in a hotel with so much potential and quiet surroundings. Very peaceful 😌

We were really happy with our stay given the price we paid. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Amenities great with pool, sauna, gym etc for extra £10. Good pub and pool tables. With a bit of a clean and decorate this place could be amazing. The ballroom was very glam and I loved the old leather sofas everywhere. Alton towers 20 minutes away.

Staff were so friendly. Stayed two nights with my 14 year old son. £10 for a leisure pass to use gym, pool, sauna and steam room. Pool tables and darts were available, lovely pub attached to the hotel with live sports and entertainment. 10 minute drive to pubs and restaurants although seen people order food to the hotel. 20 minute drive to Trentham monkey forest which was great, also drove past an ice cream parlour

Excellent value for money and what the place lacked in terms of maintenance and upkeep is more than made up for in the range of facilities and friendliness of staff. It’s a huge place to upkeep and would likely swallow £1m to fully renovate and refurbish …so doubtless the owners are hoping for a big lotto win like the rest of us.

This is the worst hotel I have stayed on. We were put in the motel part, like pontins but 20 years older! Front door had light shining through it, light was hanging with loose wires, dead flies, spiders, cob webs, stains on sheets, bed side lights no light bulbs, grouting yellow in bathroom and windows held in with lose paint I did ring to complain but they weren't interested. The hole building needs knocking down. I got an email to say it's being refurbished, and to bear with them. If you are sccept8gursts it needs to be right. I would be interested to see their electrical certificate,,!!!!!

Hotel is very dated but the bed and room were clean. Tv didn’t work but reported on checking out. You get what you pay for and the rooms were cheap so I couldn’t have any complaints. Just used it for a base for Alton towers

The staff tried their best, however the room was poorly kept, all towels and pillows given had brown stains on, the bathroom was not clean, lighting was very dim and the walls were paper thin. Only stayed one night and that was bad enough.
