My husband and I were getting away for a little honeymoon since we were recently married. I decided to go with a room through a second party because I liked the look of the room. Unfortunately if I very go to Stowe again and stay at this property I will rent directly from the hotel. The hotel it's self is beautiful and clean. Definitely worth the money and drive. But our room on the other hand wasn't up to par. When arriving the room wasn't cleaned very well. Trash left on bathroom floor behind door. A white substance all over the bathroom door and something else all over the kitchen cabinets. The room needs a real good dusting. The room could use maintenance in there, the cabinet door are coming off, the tub doesn't hold water, coffee maker did work, missing Champaign glass and the fire place didn't stay on for more then 10 minutes. I contacted the property manager the first response I got was it would be address at my check out. Saturday morning when I woke up and found out I didn't have a coffee maker in my room that worked. I messaged the management again. At this point I didn't know the tub didn't work. I finally got a message back around 11am saying they would come in but we had to leave. The coffee maker was replaced, another champagne glass was there,, doors were washed, trash was left on the floor in bathroom, and fireplace still didn't work for more then 10 minutes.
The amount of Money I spent and the fact this was going to be a relaxing weekend away, really wasn't. The fact I felt I was in a dirty room all weekend and if I rented for the hotel I wouldn't have had to wait almost 24hrs to have it address and that was by luck, cause by the first response they didn't care. If I wasn't over 3 hours for home. I probably would have left. But the hotel it's self and can't wait to go back sometime during ski season and rent from the hotel.
