This review is based on our booking and cancellation experience, as we were unable to travel and therefore never stayed at the property.Our family had planned this spring break trip for months, but our flights were cancelled and we were unable to reach Vermont. We immediately contacted the host, explained the situation, and asked whether any portion of the reservation could be refunded since we would not be checking in or using the property at all.Although the host had complete discretion to offer a partial refund, none was provided—not even the cleaning fee despite the unit never being occupied by our family. While we understand cancellation policies exist and that we did not purchase trip insurance, we were surprised by the complete lack of flexibility or goodwill under the circumstances.Prospective guests should be aware that if unexpected travel disruptions occur, they should not expect any accommodation beyond the strict terms of the cancellation policy. We left this experience feeling disappointed not by the circumstances themselves, but by how they were handled.
