“Excellent staff, over the top dog friendly, room was very nice. Had a problem with the ac and they fixed it very quickly. Bowling and mini golf on site was awesome. We plan on staying there again. ”

“Stowehof is like no other property I have ever visited. It is unique, full of character, and has pools, sauna, hot tub, and views. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a relaxing fun stay.”

“The grounds and accomodations are very nice. The complain has to do with the two main restaurants. One can expect based on the beautiful and elegant settings a much better meal experience even more considering the prices. We had dinner at Alpine Hall and room service from Tipsy Trout and we just can't recomend them. It is advisable to seak a nice meal experience elsewhere.”

“Die Lage des Hotels, mit direktem Zugang zu einem tollen Bach, in dem man baden konnte war gigantisch. Das Sportangebot (Tennis, Tischtennis, Basketball) beeindruckte unsere Kinder. Man konnte kostenfrei Fahrräder leihen, um die tolle Umgebung zu erkunden. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls sehr gut für amerikanische Verhältnisse. Super bequeme Betten. Parkplatz vor der Haustür.”

Shannon is a wealth of knowledge about the area and provided spot-on recommendations for our quirky interests: finding a farm-to-table restaurant (The Bench, great variety and impressive brewery choices) and a history buff’s “must-see” (Smugglers’ Notch Cave and State Park, see *Note at end).
