Symphonica features original mural paintings of the four seasons at Dunskey Estate by the Scottish landscape artist Victoria Orr Ewing. Renovated to the highest standards while keeping all original features, this lodge provides wondrous inspiration to take in the scene year-round in this corner of rural paradise.
Built at the turn of the century, the lodge was originally a dairy house for goods and produce for the main Castle. It now boasts underfloor heating, rain showers, and even an outdoor bath. The open living room, dining area and kitchen afford gorgeous natural light and views of the woodlands and garden. A wood burning stove in the corner adds ambience and coziness so that you can snuggle up on the modular lounge sofa bed and Mad-Men era occasional chairs.
The first bedroom contains a cream Gustavian wicker bed that perfectly blends with the wall colours and mural. Velvet-trimmed curtains add texture to the romantic room, with an ensuite bathroom, built-in wardrobe, and a dressing table.
Two white Italianate canopy beds are found in the second bedroom, with a paintbrush pink mural and a divine Art Deco glass chandelier. All bedding and mattresses are of the very top quality. A second ensuite bathroom is also found here, separated by sliding barn doors.
Outside, the terrace is a spot for BBQ or sunbathing, as it is one of the spots with longest duration of sunlight on the Estate. A magic hidden door brings you into the walled garden where you can roam for hours. There is also an outdoor tub on the terrace, connected to the hot water system.
