Traditional Cabin with Sea View is a small and cosy cottage of approximately 35 square meters, located in the peaceful village of Stykkið. The cottage is ideal for guests who are looking for a quiet and simple stay surrounded by Faroese nature, sea views, and a traditional village atmosphere.



The space is compact, but comfortable, and works well as a relaxing base for guests who want to explore the Faroe Islands by car. It is especially suitable for couples, solo travellers, or guests who enjoy a more authentic and peaceful stay away from the busier areas.



The cottage offers a warm cabin feeling, with a simple and charming layout that gives guests the chance to enjoy the surrounding nature and the calm atmosphere of Stykkið.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to the entire cottage during their stay.



The key is located in the keybox at the property.



The guest will receive the code for the property Two days prior to the arrival.



Please remember to close the keybox properly after taking out or returning the key.



Free parking is available on the other side of the cottage.



The Neighborhood:

Stykkið is a small and peaceful village on the west coast of Streymoy. It is a quiet area with beautiful natural surroundings, sea views, and a local Faroese atmosphere. The village was founded in 1845 and remains a small settlement, making it a good choice for guests who want calm surroundings and a more private stay.



The location is also convenient for exploring nearby villages and attractions. Kvívík is close by and is known as one of the older settlements in the Faroe Islands, with historic roots connected to the Viking period. The church in Kvívík was built in 1837 and serves the villages of Kvívík, Stykkið, Leynar, and Skælingur.



Nearby Leynar is known for Leynasandur beach, one of the sandy beaches on Streymoy, and the route toward Vestmanna gives guests access to the well-known Vestmanna sea cliffs and west coast scenery.



Getting Around:

A car is recommended when staying at the cottage, as Stykkið is a small village and public transport options may be limited.



From the property, guests can easily explore several areas by car, including:



- Kvívík

- Leynar and Leynasandur beach

- Vestmanna

- Tórshavn

- Vágar and the airport



Free parking is available on the other side of the cottage, making it easy for guests to arrive by car and use the cottage as a base for day trips around the Faroe Islands.



Other Things to Note:

Check-in from 4:00 PM, check-out by 10:00 AM. Please respect the house rules and take out trash before departure.



We offer extra flexibility

Would you like to arrive a bit earlier or leave a little later? We provide both early check-in and late check-out for an additional fee. Please reach out in advance to confirm availability.

It is also possible to order a baby cot and a high chair for an additional fee.

This must be requested in advance to confirm availability.



Please note that a local tourism tax and administration fee apply to all stays. These are standard requirements in the Faroe Islands and will be arranged separately closer to arrival.
