The cottage was bigger than I expected from the photos but just as beautiful. Having two full bathrooms was great. The kitchen is large and updated, and the beds were all comfortable. The cottage is quiet and peaceful, and the hot tub with outdoor lights is a great place to relax.

This is our second time staying here and I was so happy we returned! Can’t get enough of the quiet, and coziness of this home. Communication is always easy with the owner, the sweet dog Chase is always a plus to run into, and everything is very clean and easy to use. This has become my favorite place to watch the sunset. If the sky is clear the stars are incredible to watch as well in the dark. Can’t recommend it enough!

Reasonably priced! The house was very clean. We had plenty of towels & wash cloths. It was great for our girls trip, so we could all stay together in one place. Having a kitchen and everything we needed to make some of our meals was awesome!

Absolutely Perfect Stay!We had an amazing experience at this property from start to finish! The home was spotless — easily one of the cleanest rentals we’ve ever stayed in. Every room felt fresh and well cared for, and the attention to detail really stood out.The amenities were top-notch — everything we needed and more. The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were super comfortable, and the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind at the end of the day. It was such a relaxing, peaceful setting that we didn’t want to leave!Communication with the property owners was excellent. They were friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay.If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and relaxing getaway with great hosts and an incredible hot tub, this is the place to book. Great country location

We spent a few days in Central Illinois to visit family and enjoy Lake Shelbyville. This property was fantastic. Nice and spacious. We loved the country setting. It was very peaceful. The owners are on property but we never saw them - just a vehicle passing by on the drive. The place had everything we needed to cook meals and keep house so I never needed to reach out. Even the teens and the dogs were happy! If you are looking for local attractions - we enjoyed Lake Shelbyville (especially paddle boarding at Lithia Springs marina), Little Theater on the Square in Sullivan (Hairspray was amazing!), and Okaw Valley Orchard (peach slushes, turnovers and apple cider donuts!). We will definitely come back here if we do a trip like this again. Thank you for a great family vacation!

Family Vacation on the Lake

Wonderful home within close distance to Sullivan marina. Great setup for a family vacation. Plenty of parking for our cars and boat trailer. We enjoyed our time together. My kid’s loved the hot tub and daily visits from the puppy. We will definitely book again next year!

Spacious, clean and country serenity

Nice quiet location

Loved the rental! It is in excellent condition and the location is centrally located making it a convenient drive to Mattoon or Decatur. Sunsets were beautiful across the open fields. Will definitely be looking at using this location for family visits in the future. Thank you so much!
