Fantastisch verblijf
Fijn huis om in te verblijven, we werden welkom geheten met een kaart en een hapje en een drankje. Zeer ruim huis om in te verblijven met een prachtig terras. Van alle gemakken voorzien. Als verrassing liep er een zwarte beer op 20 meter van het terras, zonder dat we ons daar bedreigd door voelde. Bij the dirty wineyard, werden we zeer fijn ontvangen, daar hebben we genoten van de wijnproeverij en zeer lekkere (gluten vrije) pizza’s. Zeer de moeite waard om hier te verblijven.

East meets west fam jam
My hubby and I travelled from Ontario to meet up with our three kids and two spouses. The home is in a perfect location, the terrace was beautiful and the space perfectly comfortable for us. Staff was attentive and accommodating.

Yearly family vacation
The Parlour House is simply amazing! It has ample room for 8 people to sleep. It has everything you need for your get away. We have been going for 3 years. It is close to town, beaches, and so many other things that you can do. It is very private. Kristen and Karen are awesome to deal with. The Dirty Laundry is lovely and the cidery's around town are also good. You cant go wrong renting this property for your vacation

Gorgous exterior view and most comfortable interior setting
The property is located at the top of the hill surrounded by vineyards, the view from the porch outside is just heavenly and beautiful. The kitchen inside the property is huge, the living room and bedrooms are very spacious, 1.5 bathrooms were adequate for 7 of us. Very comfortable stay!

Week Long Stay at Parlour House
We stayed at the Parlour house for a week and really enjoyed it. The property was exactly as described. It was clean, the beds were comfy, the open area kitchen and living room provided lots of space for our group, and the deck overlooking the Kettle Vally Railway and Lake Okanagan was beautiful. We also reached out to the onsite property manager a couple times for some extra propane for the BBQ and for some dishwasher tabs and toilet paper, and they were very friendly and responsive. Also had a chance to enjoy the Dirty Laundry wine which was delicious!

Beautiful Vineyard VIews!
We absolutely loved this place. The views were spectacular of the surrounding Dirty Laundry Vineyard, and the Okanaghan valley. We could see the Kettle Valley Railway and Steam Train right below our property, and could easily access the biking path along this railway from here. Biking in the whole area was spectacular. We biked to 3 local wineries, including the Dirty Laundry Vineyard - which had excellent homemade pizza and delicious homemade wine - and they gave us a discount for staying at their Parlour House (located right down the driveway). The owner responded immediately to any of our requests, and had her main contact person deliver the things we noticed were missing, immediately. We were well taken care of. The owner was very good at replying quickly to our emails and taking care of anything we mentioned (such as having the barbecue fixed). This was one of our best VRBO rentals so far. The nicest location!

Incredible views
This property has the most beautiful views of the Okanagan lake and surrounding hills. The rooms were a good size and beds were comfortable. Being next to the winery was really lovely and they left us a bottle of wine and some charcuterie which was a nice touch. The rooms were clean. Our only comment would be to do a good clean of the oven as I don’t think it’s been cleaned since it was installed. The front door is really difficult to lock and unlock so maybe a change of that would be a good idea. Overall we loved this place and it was very well equipped in the kitchen.

This was our second year staying here but I will no longer recommend it.
We have a family holiday every year in the Okanagan. We are three generations with ages late 50s to 3 months old. We are clean and respectful renters Last year we loved the place so we booked it again. I mean how can you beat Dirty Laundry's patio! We did not receive the welcome email telling us where the key was. I had to phone the winery and find out. At noon I received a call and they told me that check in wasn't until 4 and where to find the key. I was informed the cleaner was there until then. We showed up shortly after 4 pm and started to unpack our stuff for the week. We soon discovered the house hadn't been cleaned. The only thing that was cleaned were the linens on the beds. With COVID I would have thought that they would have cleaned extra well but it was filthy. We had to go out the next mor

Mitzy we were disappointed ourselves with the situation you experienced on your arrival. Inadvertently there was a typographical error in your welcome email with the instructions, but that does not discount the cleanliness of the home when you arrived. That is not absolutely not the standard we expect of our housekeepers. This matter was addressed with the housekeeper. We did try our best to compensate you with the complimentary wine and supper provided at the Winery for your family, but understand your concerns. Again this has been addressed to prevent the same thing occurring again.

Great stay at a beautiful spot!
Location! Gorgeous view from the suite's patio, perfect to take home some wine and sit back and relax. Just steps to the wine shop/restaurant, but tucked away so winery traffic isn't noticed. Pretty clean, could use a deep clean though. Front door needs updating and tile stairs are slippery. Lovely big kitchen, new fridge, big table and living room area is roomy and open with big windows for the view. Kitchen not well stocked, needs charcuterie supplies! Overall really enjoyed our stay, will definitely be back!

Thanks for the feedback and comments Jamie ... we will definitely take action on those recommendations made. The front door was supposed to be replaced in May, but it is on backorder (like everything else these days)!

Awesome place to stay
The accommodation was great, lots of room, the deck was large as well with lots of choices where to sit - the view was stunning. We order supper from Dirty Laundry both nights, it’s a short walk to pick up, pizza one night (the best we have had in a long time) yummy good and smoked meats another… sooo good. Staff was super helpful. Would stay there again

Wonderful Stay
This is the second time that myself and three girlfriends have stayed at this house. It will not be the last time. The house itself is spacious with four very comfortable bedrooms. However, it would be extremely difficult for any other property to match the expansive outside deck in the middle of vineyards and the house's location in close proximity not only to the Dirty Laundry Winery but numerous other wineries. Amazing!! We had a few minor issues during our stay but the property's manager dealt with them in a very proactive and generous manner which more than made up for these hiccups. We definitely will stay at the Parlour House again.

Great Family Experience
Great experience for our family getaway. Large glass windows overlooking the vineyard. Just want to sit and look at the view all day !! Already booked The Parlour House again in the summer and looking forward to seeing all the vines in bloom. The staff at the winery were amazing and just absolutely friendly and knowledgeable. The house was spacious with an open concept living area. The Master Bedroom also had a large window with an AMAZING view of the vineyard. It was really quite picturesque. Like waking up to a dream. It was steps to the Dirty Laundry winery and the Red Iron Grill had delicious pizza and breadsticks. The wine was of course fantastic !! We can’t wait to return in the summer...

This property was a great place to stay. Our friends and family enjoyed the patio. Beds were very comfortable. My one suggestion is to have a little more cooking utensils. The caretaker was awesome and accommodated all of our needs.

We loved the location , the view is amazing . Very clean .The layout is perfect for 8 people to stay, plenty of room with open concept living room , dinning room and kitchen . The deck is large east facing view of Naramata.A walk to The winery . The staff are very accommodating.If you and your group want to be in the hustle and bustle of Penticton DO NOT stay here, but if you prefer to be removed from the hustle and bustle to spend quality time with your group the Parlour house will be the perfect stay.

Stunning oasis!
My husband, sister and I just spent 4 days at the Parlour House and absolutely loved it - we didn’t want to leave! Communications with VRBO and Kristen were fantastic; they were extremely responsive and hospitable. The house is fully stocked with everything you could need. The beds and pillows are extremely comfy. The air conditioning was essential and greatly appreciated, as it got to almost 40 degrees while we were there! And the view from the patio is outstanding. We spent all our time at the house on that patio, overlooking the vines, the Trout Creek Trestle, and Okanagan Lake. And PLEASE...do yourself a favor and order pizza from Dirty Laundry, because it’s *excellent*! We ordered one of each during our stay, and none disappointed! We highly recommend staying here, and can’t wait to visit again!

Beautiful Winery Getaway
The Parlour house, although not very big, is well laid out with room for dining and relaxing inside and out. The covered deck was perfect given the heat - so nice to be outside to play cards and enjoy wine out of the direct sun. Being able to walk only 150m to pick up wine or snacks at Dirty Laundry (or enjoy their beautiful patio, gelato bar) was also a bonus, and it was an easy drive into town for groceries or to get to the beach. The home is exactly as advertised, and communicating with Barb was easy, and response times fantastic. With the beautiful view we would definitely stay here again!

Family Getaway
Lovely location and room for everyone. Great deck overlooking the lake and vineyards. Could have been cleaner especially during the Covid era. Stayed 6 nights and 3 of them we had no air conditioning, dishes in the cupboard were not clean but after staying there for a few days we learned the dishwasher was not cleaning properly. Supplies were very low as in only 2 rolls of toilet paper and no extra garbage bags, no cleaners to wash the floor with which was left a bit dirty to begin with etc. I would say bring supplies! No laundry and not a lot of extra towels. Fairly busy spot as many people are driving in and out of the driveway from the winery I guess looking to see what the "Parlour House" was as it is well marked from the winery. Did not bother us but if you want privacy this is not it.

Thank you Yvonne ... we certainly apologize for the lack of air conditioning. It was not known that it wasn't working until you got there. All units were replaced as soon as you left and we had an opportunity for the work to be done. I have updated our housekeeping with your concerns and reiterated to them our expected standards (not the standard you experienced for sure). As for the traffic, I lived in the basement suite previously and you did get a few people drive up now and again to see what the "Parlour House" was, but it was very rare. It is however, a working vineyard and farm workers are often up and down with equipment. Thanks for the feedback - all of your concerns have been addressed with our staff.

Brought mum and sis with our family, needed space plus wanted to host a dinner. House has everything. Note - it was built with tiles on the stairs and walkway to front door. I’m freezing weather it’s an ice rink - insanely stupid. Almost lost mum! Other than that the place is great and the view is spectacular. Host is friendly and responsive.

Girls weekend - 4.5 stars
We had a wonderful weekend filled with laughter and sharing of memories at the Parlour House. We found a delicious bottle of wine and crackers waiting for us on arrival. The discount and wood fire pizza at Dirty Laundry Vineyard, a few steps away was an unexpected bonus. The views of the vineyards, Lake Okanagan and mountains from the house were stunning. We very much enjoyed our stay. The house was a little dated but very clean and comfortable. A couple minor upkeep issues (blinds did not open in the master bedroom, sliding door did not lock) prevents a 5 star rating.

Fantastic girls trip
Barb’s place was just fantastic. Beautiful place in the Perfect location, set off from the road with a beautiful view of the Kettle Valley train, mountains and the lake. We spent all of our time out on the covered patio playing games, eating and enjoying the view of the vineyard. The Dirty Laundry itself was fantastic. The wine tasting was a great experience and we learned about the history of the vineyard. Highly recommended!

Wonderful ladies weekend!
Great property for a wine weekend getaway with couples or friends. Our group of 7 had a lovely stay at the Parlour House in late April. Clean and comfortable. Great open concept kitchen/dining/living area. Comfy beds, lots of linens, and well equipped kitchen - and Barb downstairs even saved us with a tsp of nutmeg and an extra baking dish for a large meal we prepared! Wonderful deck with lots of seating. Check in and out was easy. The property is easy to find (great signage), has lots of parking and is a 2 minute walk to the Dirty Laundry tasting room. Note that staying at this property entitles you to a discount on purchases at Dirty Laundry! (I don't think we were provided with this info in advance and didn't notice it posted at the property. The staff at the store mentioned this after we had purchased a bunch of wine and merch upon finding out where we were staying and had no problem issuing appropriate refunds for the discount.) Try the pizza there - so good! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property.

Lovely patio and view from this clean comfortable house
Sitting on the covered patio for breakfast, afternoon relaxes, dinners and sunsets was a highlight of staying at the Parlour House at Dirty Laundry Vineyards. The house was very clean rooms spacious and comfortable for the 5 of us. The open plan kitchen and living room with a view was wonderful to hang out in as well. Barbara our host could not have been quicker or more accommodating with our questions and asks. Bonus of being able to walk 2 minutes up the driveway to the Dirty Laundry tasting room! we are planning on returning

Parlour House
The property was very nice and well maintained. The view from the Parlour House is great and would be amazing when the vines have leaves (our stay was in early April). However, there are two things we recommend to the owners: (1) There is a stairwell from the upstairs portion of the house down to the basement, the lock for which only prevents people from coming downstairs, not upstairs. This door was not locked when we arrived. Since we were in the upstairs portion, we were concerned that there was no deadbolt preventing access to the upstairs from the basement. This is a security and safety issue. (2) Before we arrived, we were under the impression that we had the whole house, but only found out after that there were occupants in the basement. The owners need to make clear that the basement level is or may be occupied. If these issues are addressed, we would certainly consider staying at the Parlour House again. The wine tasting and the staff at Dirty Laundry were awesome.

Thank you Keith for taking the time to post a review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. I apologize for the oversight in door to the basement being unlocked. It is always kept locked for the safety of all occupants, but must have been inadvertently missed by maintenance during the last check out. We have also updated the listing to make sure it is clear that it is only the main floor that is being rented and the basement is or may be occupied. Again thank you for the suggestions.

We enjoyed our stay. Then beds were very comfortable and place was decorated well. A good space.
Three recommendations: on-site laundry would be nice. Sound proofing between upstairs and down, and outside garbage removal at least once during the week. Thanks a lot.

Thank you for your feedback Stephen we loved having your family stay at the Parlour House. I can confirm that the renovations to the lower suite has been completed including the sound proofing and we have taken your recommendation for laundry facilities to the owner group and are investigating adding this amenity for the next season. We do have a dumpster located in the Dirty Laundry Vineyard (Bordello House) parking lot which can be used for guests to put in the excess garbage and we will make sure there is a supply of garbage bags to assist in that area.
