Chiarello 4 – Ampia Casa nel Borgo Antico

Discover the authentic charm of a typical Lombard house in the heart of the historic center of Taceno. Casa Chiarello is a large, bright and characterful apartment, ideal for accommodating up to 5 people. Recently renovated, it has preserved the original layout of the rooms and some period furniture that tells the story of the house, creating a warm and authentic atmosphere.
The house follows the traditional corridor layout , typical of the Lombard houses of the past: all the rooms overlook a long central corridor, which gives the house a timeless charm. The apartment is located on the second floor of a characteristic historic Lombard courtyard and can be reached via a staircase.
The living area consists of a separate, spacious and well-equipped eat-in kitchen with everything you need to prepare your meals. The kitchen also has a large dining table, perfect for sharing lunches and dinners with friends. The living room is an independent and welcoming environment, furnished with a TV and a comfortable single sofa bed.
The sleeping area includes two spacious double bedrooms, both furnished with wardrobes and bedside tables to ensure maximum comfort during your stay. The bathroom, located next to the rooms, has a bathtub, sink and toilet.
At the entrance of the apartment there is a small balcony overlooking the suggestive internal courtyard and the surrounding mountains: the ideal place to start the day with a coffee or relax in the evening with a glass of wine while breathing in the fresh air of the valley.
If you want to experience the authentic atmosphere of a small Italian village, away from mass tourism but a short distance from Lake Como, this is the perfect choice.
Guests will have exclusive access to the entire apartment.
Taceno is one of the most authentic villages in Valsassina, where time seems to flow more slowly. Walking through its narrow streets you can admire ancient courtyards, stone houses, frescoes on the facades and views that tell the story of the valley.
A few steps from the apartment there is a small grocery store where you can buy essential products. In the village there are also some bars and a restaurant-pizzeria. For a wider choice of supermarkets, restaurants and services, it is enough to reach neighboring towns in about 10-15 minutes by car.
Bellano and Lake Como are about 15 minutes' drive away. The connection is through a suggestive mountain road full of views and hairpin bends. It is completely passable with any car, but it may be less familiar to those who are not used to driving on mountain roads. Alternatively, it is possible to reach the lake via Lecco: the route is longer (about 30-40 minutes), but it runs on smoother roads.
Taceno is also connected by bus to Bellano and Lecco; however, schedules are rather limited. For those who want to explore Lake Como and Valsassina during their stay, we therefore recommend arriving by car.
Free public parking is available near the house and, in most cases, it is possible to find a place without difficulty. However, being located in the historic center, the house can be reached through characteristic rather narrow streets. For this reason, we do not recommend access with large cars and we recommend, especially upon first arrival, to verify the route on foot before entering with the vehicle.
Casa Chiarello is the ideal solution for families and groups of friends who want to spend a holiday of tranquility, immersed in the authentic atmosphere of a mountain village, without giving up the possibility of easily reaching the most famous places on Lake Como and the beautiful hiking trails of Valsassina. Here you can experience the slow pace of the valley, breathe fresh air and return every evening to a house rich in history, tradition and charm.

Tourist tax: The municipality where you will be staying does not require the payment of a Tourist Tax.

Check-in: To receive the detailed instructions on how to reach the accommodation, it is necessary to complete the fast check-in procedure (guest registration, possible payment of the tourist tax, and contract signing).
The official check-in time is from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Access to the accommodation outside this time frame is not permitted unless previously agreed in writing and subject to the payment of an early check-in or late check-in supplement. Extra: Some extra services may incur an additional charge. In this case, you will need to request the service via text message before your arrival; if available, it will be added to your bill, and a payment link will be sent to you.
