Great gathering space
Property was comfortable, spacious and well appointed. We would stay again. The furnishings were comfortable. It was obvious the decor was collected over time, so fun! It felt lived in, in the best possible way.

Enjoyed the stay!
Overall happy with the cabin and the host! Description is accurate, and we chose this home for the cabin vibe. Nobody missed TV. Our older family members were happy to have bedrooms and bathroom on the main floor, which is street level, so no steps to navigate. The several downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms are only accessibly via a steep spiral staircase, so our least-mobile never went to that part of the cabin. Two frustrations: 1) the loft bedroom was dusty and bedsheets/blanket/spread were quite aged and pilled; 2) no clothes washer/dryer was frustrating with a large group who traveled from far and wide and needed to do laundry. Aside from those, it really is a charming and unique cabin, with many custom features. The family truly enjoyed the stay there. The kitchen was pretty well stocked, and the large round table with lazy suzan, next to the wonderful gas fire feature in the living room were a big hit. Great place for family meals and games. The quiet neighborhood is beautiful, and the location is perfect for access to so many north shore sights.

Family gatherings
Property was nice and roomy lots of things to do withe the family the only thing is the bear box was broken and we had a visit from the mom bear and her cubs and she knows how to open it might want to get new ones but we loved the cabin

Birthday celebration for youngest daughter abd brother in law

Perfect Place for Family Gathering
Our extended family stayed at this older, classic Tahoe cabin from June 21-25. We found the cabin to be better than the pictures. It was clean, in good working condition and nicely decorated with a woodsy theme. It is located in a quiet neighborhood with peek views of the lake. You only see pine trees out the windows, not the side of someone’s house. It felt private and serene. With our group of 13 adults and 5 kids (ages 1 to 7), the arrangement of the rooms was ideal. The downstairs bunk room worked really well with the older kids. The adults all had a comfortable bed with a bathroom nearby. Mattresses had a soft memory type topper that made for comfy sleeping. The kitchen was very nice with newer appliances and good supply of gadgets/kitchen equipment. As someone else stated, it wasn’t a problem not having a washer/dryer. We all enjoyed our time together. I felt lucky to have found this place. Highly recommend.

Excellent place for a family gathering
The house really lends itself for a family gathering. The great room, back deck and rear grounds provided ample room for all the age groups. We had 19 people in the house and six other relatives who had other accommodations. The great room easily held all of us in the evenings. However, there are some maintenance and safety issues on the exterior that need to be addressed. A number of posts that hold up the roof on the side decks have rotted and are propped up by 2x4s and blocks. The same side roofs look like they’re in bad shape. The gap between the lower rail and the deck is wide enough that a small toddler could roll thru it and fall two levels. There needs to be another rail installed. These items detract from an otherwise great place and caused the overall evaluation above to be 4 stars.

Husband’s 50th birthday
We had an amazing time at this property. We rented it to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday. We all got plenty of snow for skiing, snowshoeing a few blocks away and sledding next to the house (the house came with plenty of sleds and shovels). The best part about the house was the central gathering space with the fireplace. There were so many places for groups to get together and play games or talk etc. Everyone had an amazing time. We’ll definitely be back again!

Fantastic space for a large group
We had a great stay at this property--with a large group including 5 couples and our children ranging from ages 4-16. The highlight truly was the sledding hill next door; our kids basically sledded all morning, came in for lunch, went back out until dinner, then even did "night time sledding" after dinner. They LOVED it, and we (the grownups) didn't need to entertain them which was fantastic. We were originally concerned about the lack of washer/dryer (with wet snow clothes), but we put all the wet clothing around the fireplace and it dried promptly. One thing to know: The house is pretty noisy; if you are sleeping downstairs you can hear everyone moving around upstairs, and if you are sleeping in the loft you can hear the conversations happening around the fireplace. Bring earplugs or a noise machine. We are hoping to come back with the same group next year.

Family Reunion
Great Stay. We had several families together for the Thanksgiving weekend. (also other houses) This was the main house and the cooking spot. There were many amenities that went unused. There was plenty of spread out space.. and multiple extra sleeping spots. (only downside some were in pass through areas) The meeting areas were spread out enough to allow for multiple activities to be going on at once.. Highly reccomend

Beautiful mountain cabin
The cabin is beautiful, spacious and what we were looking for. The property grew on us throughout the duration of the stay and we quite enjoyed the visit. Only thing we had any criticisms on was that the house is in desperate need of a thorough deep cleaning. Someone found fake eyelashes in their bedding, a little bit of garbage on the floor and then all of the light fixtures were covered in cobwebs Aside from the cleaning aspect, the cabin was perfect and everyone enjoyed it. The location is really convenient to get around in, the neighbor is quiet and you're close enough to the lake to walk down and close enough to a few trails that you can go on a quick and easy hike right down the road.

Had not visited with small children before and was pleasantly surprised to find baby gates and booster seats available for the 18 month old. Each time we visit there is another improvement - this time it was the outside deck which was great to BBQ and hang out on!

Best Lake Tahoe Reunion
Our 3rd Lake Tahoe family reunion & best rental property. Beats 2 other cabin rentals. No TV was an asset. No clothes washer or dryer was a minor inconvenience. Kitchen was updated & 2 refrigerators was a plus. Nearby Commons Beach was less congested & steps away from local shops & restaurants. Nice residential location with plenty of parking space. Everyone was very happy with this 3 level property. Will be back again in two years!!

What an amazing stay. I highly recommend Dollar Point!
From the booking, check in and stay, I was perfect. The property owner was very helpful, clear with expectations and on top of everything. We visited Tahoe City for a large family celebration and had about 15 folks staying at the home. Everyone agreed, it was the perfect house. Clean, comfortable and had everything you needed. The location is ideal and you can pop into town quickly if you needed anything. What a great experience and I would book it again in a heartbeat if I were to be staying in the area.

Best Ever Family/Friends Vacation Home
We love to go vacationing with our large family & friends group. It is hard to find a place that can accommodate all of us comfortably. We wish we could transport this home to all the other places we want to travel to together. We easily had several people in the kitchen, all of us around the humongous round table for dinner/games, and then we would separate out into the cozy multiple seating areas to chat. The gas fireplace was so wonderful on the cool Tahoe nights, I was glad we had it even in May. This is a rare house to have queen size beds in each bedroom. It was perfect for all of us adults. We loved the multiple floors as those early to bed stayed on one floor. And soooo many bathrooms, we were never waiting to use one. Perfect location to head to the marina for an early morning fishing trip or to go to Truckee for rafting (I highly recommend that activity). We were close to bike trails and hiking. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer.

Great home in Tahoe that sleeps up to 22 people in beds! 19 members of my family stayed here during Thanksgiving week. Very homey and extremely well stocked! All the pot, pans and extras you need to cook for a large group. Wonderful location near 2 bike paths. 4 bathrooms for 4 families! We all loved it!

Retirement family gathering
We rented this property to celebrate my husbands military retirement with family from across the country. The house was perfect, everyone slept comfortably, the kitchen was well stocked with all necessities, the area was BEAUTIFUL! We were able to explore in town, enjoy the views, the lake and spend time with our ENTIRE family for the first time in years. It was wonderful! We are already talking about booking for next year!

Fantastic Family Reunion Cabin
Our entire family loved this cabin the moment we arrived - felt like home immediately! We filled the cabin to capacity and still had plenty of space to spread out with a lovely great room for family gatherings. The kitchen was well-equipped and we appreciated the update as the cabin generally is very rustic, which is what we fell in love with! The beds were comfortable. We spent a good deal of time in the late afternoons on the deck while the kiddos enjoyed exploring the surrounding cabin grounds. There was plenty of parking for the six cars that came with us. The area was close to Tahoe City and King's beach though we ventured off to Sand Harbor for a day, Eagle Falls hike another and added in a trip down the Truckee River - such a good time. In fact, we loved our stay so much we have already booked our next reunion and can't wait to make more memories. Thanks to the Walker's for providing such a lovely cabin for making wonderful memories! Recommendations: bring extra towels and room fans as there is no AC and only one towel is provided per person for the entire stay (no washer/dryer). Also, just know that you need to go get propane for barbecue as that is not provided (we missed that detail). Have a great time!

Fabulous reunion house
The cabin is perfect for a big family reunion. We had 10 adults, two infants, and a 3 year old and a 4 year old. The cottage had one booster seat and one pack and play, and we brought one more of each. The location is fabulous - near Tahoe City, near Squaw Valley, near beaches and hiking trails. The beds were made and everything clean and ready to live in when we arrived. There was a little confusion about check in time. We had been told to arrive at 3:00 but the cleaners said it was supposed to be 4:00 and so you might want to sort that out. Kelly the owner was very responsive when I mentioned a few things that needed fixing. We had a wonderful time and plan to return again.

Family Reunion 2020
This property is very spacious and perfect for a large family vacation. The owner was very helpful In letting us know ahead of time the weather conditions for packing purposes (how much snow to expect during our stay and if there was enough for sledding gear near the property). The cabin is located near town and about 25 minutes from a small casino.

Spacious home in beautiful neighborhood
We loved this home. We only used 4 of the 8 bedrooms but it was nice to have the space and multiple bathrooms. We loved the quiet neighborhood and proximity to trails for walking/biking. Everything was very clean and kitchen well stocked. Owner is a great communicator; promptly answered questions. I'd definitely look to rent here again when the opportunity arises.

Big, comfy, and congenial!
The "cabin" is spread over three levels, ensuring a nice level of privacy for each of the eight bedrooms. Very modern kitchen, huge common dining and living room areas, central gas fireplace, lovely back deck with BBQ grill-- NO TV, which we love-- encourages everyone to relax and chat. Puzzles and games for all ages provided, too. Our large group of family and friends keeps coming back-- it's a truly wonderful venue, well-maintained and appointed for comfort.

This property has everything you would find in your kitchen. Blenders, pots, pans, forks, spoons, cutting boards, cups mugs, plates, etc. It was definitely a perfect fit for our family get away. All 7 families were easily accommodated in rooms and beds. The only thing I would encourage is to clean the staircase better, as there were cobwebs and take care of the spiders. We found some on the staircase, loft bathroom and downstairs room to the left.

Wedding Weekend
We needed a place for two families to stay during our son's recent wedding in Incline. This home is spectacular. It is well kept and there was plenty of room for our party of 17. It sleeps 22 in beds! This is not easy to find as most places that sleep large groups require the use of air mattresses. Kelly our host was super quick to answer text messages and emails. We all raved about how beautiful this home was and we are seriously considering renting again next summer for a family reunion. Thank you to Kelly for providing a wonderful and inviting place for our family to rest between wedding activities. It was a memorable weekend and we had a lovely home to stay in. Our whole family got to stay together and we we all slept very comfortably.

Perfect for large groups
We chose this cabin for a retreat weekend with our youth group and it was perfect to accommodate our large group. There were plenty of beds and the kitchen had all the necessities to prep our meals. There were ample sitting area with a spacious deck to extend the living space. Location was perfect as it was just a short drive to the beach and nearby hikes. We would definitely rebook in the future if we come back to Tahoe

Perfect place for a family vacation.
The Dollar Point house was the perfect property for my family over Labor Day weekend. We were visiting Lake Tahoe for another family members wedding. We had 14 people in the house, but could EASILY have had more. Just up the street from the house there is an entrance to the Burton Creek State Park. The park has miles of trails that are great for hiking/running/mountain biking in warm dry weather, and I'm sure they would be great for cross country skiing in the colder months. My family has already started talking about trying to llan a trip to come back in the winter.
