THE RETREAT

The master bedroom boasts a King bed, the finest linens, and spa inspired bathroom with incredible views of DL Bliss.

The guest room boasts a corner view of the mountain and Lake with oversized windows, a queen bed, and luxury linens.

On the middle floor you will find two more bedrooms, perfect for families with a queen guest room and adjoining children’s bunk room, equipped with four bunks, and plenty of toys, books, and play space.

While Tahoe prides itself with incredible culinary adventures, sometimes nothing beats a homecooked meal with the family. Worry not, this kitchen is stocked and ready with everything you need including a fully stocked spice rack, and even basics like sugar, flour, pasta, rice, and popcorn - for family movie night of course!

Or bring the restaurant to you.. and leave the cooking to our talented private chefs. Our culinary team will prepare any cuisine you can dream up, right in the comfort of the Retreat’s kitchen. Truly an experience to remember! Sommelier and bartender service also available, but please inquire with our concierge as our chefs are in high demand and can book up quickly.

Let us deal with the hassle while you unwind. In addition to chef services, our concierge can arrange for your fridge to be stocked upon arrival. If you need a high chair or pack and play for the little one, just let us know! We even provide kid safe dishes so you don’t need to bring them from home. From lift tickets, to boat reservations, we have you covered. Just ask.

For business or for pleasure?
So you still need some connection to the office.. we get it. We secured StarLink with some of the fastest WiFi speeds on the Lake and have a dedicated mini office with a desk and printer - perfect for hopping on a zoom call, or for getting that epic memo drafted up when inspiration hits.

The living room is a cozy gathering place for you and your guests, with a rare vintage wood burning stove to keep you warm in the colder months.

After a long day on the slopes or boating on the lake, gather downstairs in the lower level in our greatroom. Play a game with friends, or enjoy the latest blockbuster movie on the 65” panel with Sonos Dolby Atmos sound theater.

There is half bathroom downstairs as well, and the couch pulls out to a surprisingly comfortable double bed. The perfect place to unwind after a long day.

Bathrooms come appointed with cotton towels, toilet paper, kleenex, make-up towels, cotton swabs and q-tips. We also include hair dryers and luxury toiletries from public goods including shampoo, conditioner, and soaps.

Spend time on the outdoor deck off the back of the home that provides a private, relaxing space to breathe in the fresh mountain air and take in the unbelievable view of Lake Tahoe. The garage can safely house up to two cars. You can also store winter snow gear or rent mountain bikes in the summer months.

While folks from Nor Cal will understand, most people new to Tahoe will be surprised to find that most homes do not have A/C. How could a home in 2022 not have A/C?? Good question, but this is Tahoe.. nature’s air conditioning turns on every day from about 5pm onwards (and in until 10AM). We suggest opening windows close to 10 or 11am, and leaving them open until bed time. Even on warm summer days, the breeze from the lake and mountains will not only fill the home with the sweetest smelling fresh air, but will cool off the house quickly by dinner time.

Heavenly Village offers ice skating, shopping, dining experiences, along with a gondola ride you won’t want to miss! Even if you don’t want to adventure down the slopes, all can access the unbelievable views from the Heavenly Gondola.

You have full and total access of our home during your stay, including an attached double car garage located at the front of the home. Feel free to stream any of your subscriptions on our Smart TV, make a home cooked meal for your family in our fully stocked chef's kitchen, or jump in your car and head out to the South Shore for shopping or an epic view on the Gondola at Heavenly.

Rubicon Retreat is located on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe in Tahoma, California. Nestled in the woods high on the mountainside, you will have access to one of the most majestic views on earth.

One of the reasons you might be coming to the mountains is to escape the hustle and bustle of city living. That being said, the secluded nature of Rubicon Retreat means that you will be relying on your own private transportation to get from place to place. In the summer months just about any car will do, but you will definitely want a four wheel drive in the winter. Don’t rely on the standard car rental companies to make sure you get a quality car. Let our concierge book you a luxury vehicle that will be waiting for you curbside at the airport when you arrive. We can also arrange for a private shuttle bus for larger groups.

There is a keyless entry lock to the home which a code will be provided to you after you book with us.

You will have access to our digital guidebook and house manual so you can enjoy a stress free stay with us at the retreat.

If you would like to host any sort of gathering at our home, please discuss this prior to arrival, and we will try to accommodate your request. Our concierge may be available to help with event coordination as well.

Note: Please be advised that certain amenities are subject to seasonal availability due to weather conditions. These amenities—including but not limited to BBQ grills, outdoor seating, fire tables, beach chairs, snow sleds, ice melt, and similar features—are dependent on weather and operational considerations (e.g. often not available at stores during transitional seasons). Availability may vary based on seasonal factors. If you have any questions regarding the readiness of amenities during transitional seasons, please feel free to contact us. While we strive to maintain access to all amenities year-round, outdoor amenities are generally only available during June-September

Also note: county regulations restrict street parking during winter (usually Nov 1 - May 1) months to make way for snow plows, so please park in the driveway or garage only or your vehicle will be ticketed and/or towed. Summer street parking is permissible.

Profiles that are brand new with no prior reviews, or have less than 3 reviews total at a 4.5 rating or less out of 5 will be required to pay a $2500 damage deposit prior to a booking being confirmed and check in instructions being shared. The damage deposit is fully refundable at the end of a reservation assuming there is no damage to the property.

Please note that profiles with a lower review rating than 4 stars will not be allowed to book our property on an instant book basis and if for whatever reason the reservation confirms through the system, the reservation may be canceled. For guests with new profiles without reviews, these requests will be reviewed manually and will be subject to screening and questioning before a reservation may be confirmed.
