Perfection!
Sandy's Hoose is an amazing holiday cottage in a super seaside village. Firstly, the area is fabulous; several eateries (though we only visited our favourite Castle Inn, just a few minutes walk away), and a great little shop which stocks an amazing range of items. Great walks from the front door and further afield there are lots of interesting places to visit.
But back to Sandy's Hoose - it's just wonderful. Sitting in the front conservatory was a delight - comfortable, light and the most amazing view. The sitting room was also very comfortable; we didn't need to light the log burner as we visited in late September, and we only put the oil-fired heating on for an hour or so during the whole stay. The kitchen is the best equipped holiday home kitchen we have ever been in (even managed to whip up a soup one day as there was a hand blender.... if I was adept at cooking, I could have created a cordon rouge meal!). The rear conservatory was ideal for eating up to table, and playing lots of board games.
Having a downstairs loo was very useful; and of course there's the en suite attached to the very comfortable downstairs bedroom. Upstairs were two very good sized bedrooms and a full bathroom.
In these strange Covid times, it was good to know that the property had been exceptionally well cleaned - hand sanitiser was just inside the property, and disposable face masks in case anyone had forgotten theirs (we are now very accomplished at having masks at the ready, so didn't need to use them, but it was one of those nice touches that made Sandy's Hoose such a great property).
Finally, and I won't give anything away to spoil anyone's surprise, there was a super thoughtful and tasty welcome pack. What could be better!
Sandy's Hoose gets absolutely top marks for being a great holiday home.
