“A very pleasant stay in Asakusa, we liked the hotel and location a lot. The only drawback was that we would have liked to have a bath or shower plus change of clothes in the onsen, the afternoon after our 11 am check out - before heading back home via a 14hr flight, Tokyo was boiling 34 degrees. We offered to pay extra/buy a ticket for the bath. Perhaps worth re-considering for long-distance guests in the future? We solved this by visiting a public bath in the area, but still. ”

“The hotel itself is in a nice area, staff was friendly when we checked in and responsive when I emailed them. They also paid attention to my birthday, which was very sweet. Room clean, water pressure good etc. There are some things to consider when booking here though. First of all - the pictures of the rooms are deceptive. They look much bigger than they actually are. “Stayed here a couple of nights for return trip. Close by a couple of metro stations with different lines. If you catch a rapid line, only three stops or 20 mins to/from Haneda. Local eateries, 15 min walk to Shinagawa area. Hotel was clean and pretty reasonably sized for Japan standards. Bonus - washing machine/dryer combo in room. Service was good. ”

“Hotel Niwa is probably the best hotel I lived in. The room was cosy and well planed. There were two different kinds of pillows so you could choose the one who fitted you most. There were three types of gardens you could sit and relax in, very green and lovely. There were washing machines and vending machines on two floors. The staff was very professional yet familiar. I miss this place. ”

“The hotel is easy to reach from either airport, taking one single train all the way to Asakusa Station from where you can take a 20 minute walk or the metro to Tawaramachi Station next to the hotel. The trains tend to be crowded, so if you have time to spare you can take a more relaxing bus ride into the city and then navigate the metro the rest of the way. Being located in Asakusa, an area that has a lot to offer and is well connected with the rest of the city, is a big plus for me. The hotel...
