Vi är mycket nöjda av vår vistelse på Tugu. Stranden är väldigt fint och det är charmigt med tidsvattnet. Rummet var grymt, vi saknade inget utom de mygg spiral (en om dagen bara). Badrummet och badkaret var riktig stort och fint, men varmt vatten räckte inte till. Trots att vi påpekade detta blev det samma sak nästa kväll. Matten var väldigt bra för det mesta, inte minst frukosten, dock blev vi besvikna när vi provade två sallader som innehöll tre pytte små kyckling bitar och 3 räckor (snål). Vi sov gott på nätterna, trots att personalen sjunger i samband med sina böne utrop. Men det varar inte längre än 15-20 minuter. Nyårsmiddagen var en höjdare med bra underhållning och god mat, Topp betyg. Servicen var lite ojämn, mycket bra för det mesta men aldrig i samma nivå än på Villa Semana, I rummet finns stora garderober, en frukt tallrik serveras varje dag, vilket är mysigt. Sängen och kuddarna var super sköna! En dum sak dock var att det fanns ett fönster nära till sängen (ovanpå) utan gardiner, så vi väcktes av ljudet på morgonen runt 6 tiden, det är en miss. En annan sak som bör påpekas är att det finns 4 statyer i vatten i poolen som är svårt att se, inte minst på kvällen. Det är farligt och bara en tidsfråga innan något barn skada sig. Det finns ingen varning heller, jag förstår inte mig riktig på detta. Trots dessa påpekande och problem väljer att ger en mycket hög betyg då vi njöt varje dag! Det är så lite folk på stranden och stort avstånd mellan solstolarna, så skönt!

Detta hotel rekommenderas varmt, hela anläggningen är fantastisk och personalen är helt underbar, kommer med små överraskningar och glädje hela tiden. Servicen är så bra så man nästan blir gråtfärdig. Dock finns de en sak man bör tänka på innan man åker dit, du blir avsläppt mitt i ingenstans med en liten muslimsk by som närmsta granne inget annat. Hotellet hjälper gärna till att ordna utflykter men de kostar, sen så finns det ingen stans i närheten att handla eller äta på så du blir tvungen äta allt på hotellet, om du inte tar en bil till en annan strand. Dock är maten på topp och du hittar allt möjligt. Sen är det enkelt att ta sig vidare till gilli öarna med hotellets hjälp, 20 min bara rak fram. Detta hotell rekommenderas till smekmånader eller personer som vill fly verkligheten och bara rå om varandra. Rummen är magiska och alla lokaler är minst lika magiska.

Quelques jours de tranquillité
L'endroit est beau. Plage privée siper sympa. On y a même pris 1 bateau privé pour Gili. La nourriture est super bonne. Les chambres sont spacieuses mais ne contiennent pas de secge cheveux bizarrement (ol faut le demander ce pauvre sec cheveux sans embout). Le massage par contre a éviter car c'est le plus nul qu'on ait eu. Le personnel du restaurant est hyper sympa.

In one word : Amazing !
Our experience at TUGU was above our expectations. First of all, the hotel is different from what you find usually in the region as it is very authentic, not so modern but well maintained. The location is just perfect with easy access to Gili islands. The staff is very counsious and takes good care of the customers (a special thanks to Ruslan from the restaurant and to all the staff). The only negative point would be the average price of the food at the restaurant which is in my opinion a bit expensive.

Very unique hotel - I would recommend
The hotel is very unique and different than any I’ve stayed in over my years of travel. I really enjoyed the private pool in the honeymoon suite which I definitely recommend over the oceanfront room. I definitely would recommend this hotel as it was a great experience. Also recommending going to see waterfall via a 90 minute car ride and Gili islands via boat day boat trip both were well worth it. The service is amazing and very personalized they remembered my breakfast order and the sauces I liked daily. Only suggestion would be that it needs a few upgrades and could be a bit cleaner. This is only comparing it to a 5 star standard, by no means did I think it was dirty or poorly maintained but that’s the only thing I think could be improved. Was a very nice difference from our hotel in Bali which was much more crowded. Overall would recommend this hotel.

Unique and Romantic Hotel
The service is great! All the staff is amazing and very friendly. Especially the one on the beach activity centre. I wanted to snorkel and bring my 3 young kids with me. 2 guys brought us to the snorkel spot with canoe and paddle board. They showed us the spot and kept us save and bring us back. we had a really good time. The breakfast is good, lunch and dinner is just okay. Nothing special. The hotel is really unique and romantic. But my kids found it a bit scary. A bit dark and have a lot of statue.Maybe more suitable to couples and young family. The only cons is there’s a lot of mosquitos. So make sure to put on the mosquito repellent.

We stayed at Hotel Tugu from the 8th to the 12th of May 2019. What an awesome way to start our honeymoon adventure in Indonesia. We stayed in a beautiful bungalow with a king-sized bed and an outdoor bathroom. The WIFI, air condition and minibar were very pleasing. The hotel is a lavish museum of adventure contained on a lush green property with fabulous pools, artistic Indonesian décor, a relaxing spa and a pretty beach. The staff was amazing and very attentive and the food and cocktails were fresh, delicious, exotic and most important plentiful. Afternoon tea was always a delight and relaxing at any of the hotel’s amenities was just perfect. The only downside to the hotel was that once you are there you do not want to leave the premises to explore the local area which was also interesting i.e. the Elephant park and The Gillies. When we return to Indonesia it will definitely be our first stop and we would recommend it to every and anyone who is looking for a beautiful experience in Lombok.

Fantastic hotel. Everything was perfect. The staff couldn't be more helpful. Paradise style location, beautiful infinity pools, great food, fantastic drinks. Facilities were great. In short, one of the best places I've ever stayed in, brilliant attention to detail all around.

We went a few weeks after they re opened due to the earthquakes and we were a little nervous but it was absolutely amazing. The property is insanely beautiful. The hotel did not look like it had any damage at all. The staff was incredible and so helpful and Accommodating. One of the most beautiful places Ive ever stayed. Highly recommend!!!

Tugu: a place to be
If you prefer a more quite island to Bali, Lombok is a good choice. Even if the Tugu is not really in the center of everything it is an excellent choice for those seeking a more relaxing and calm holiday at a very nice beach.

if you visit lombok and you can afford the hotel then go. amazing enviroment. top staff, food and facility. due to the lack of activities outside of the hotel what has nothing to do with the just because its a bit outside of the main attractions i recomend to go not more than 1 week because you will always stay inside the facility. but its worth to go and relax and having a great expirience.

Okay, but way overrated and overpriced
This hotel gets excellent reviews, and I'm not sure why. The facilities are old, both in a charming way but also in just a tired, used way. Service is generally excellent, but you come to expect that in places like Lombok and Bali. Dinner on the beach was nice, and they don't charge extra for serving it on the beach, but the food is expensive and generally so so; sometimes quite good, sometimes not. The beach is beautiful and private, but you can't really swim because the water is both very shallow and rocky. Overall, it was okay, but way too expensive for the room, which did not even have a decent couch or really comfortable place to site.

An excellent escape in Lombok with 5 star services
From the moment we started coordinating with the hotel by email and entered the hotel upon our arrival with staff greeting us throughout our stay until the departure it's been fabulous. Smiles are everywhere in the hotel. All staff are friendly, helpful, courteous, etc!! To be fair all has been great the environment, people, facilities, foods and their service. Definitely will come back again. P.S. Location is great if you want to go to Gili Islands.

REMOTE AND UNIQUE
This would have to be without a doubt the most unique and beautiful hotels we have ever visited. The staff were outstanding and the beach location was remote but well worth the two hour drive from the airport. We began the day swimming with turtles and ended it with dinner on the beach. The only negative was the slow kitchen service but that didn't stop us from having a memorable Lombok experience. The perfect getaway !

Amazing Hotel
Fantastic Hotel with 37 rooms spread throughout extensive, well kept gardens. Hotel is full of character buildings, curios and statues, harking back to an ancient Indonesia. Food was great. Staff were excellent, very friendly and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Everyone knew our names and our preferences - a truly lovely personal service. Really impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel, the grounds and the beach. Loved the close proximity to nature - butterflies, birds and at night, bats. The inside/outside bathroom was an unusual feature.

An absolutely amazing and beautiful resort. One has to see it to really appreciate the scope and grandeur of the property. Staff were incredibly friendly and so attentive. The food was superb and the restaurant's hours so flexible and open. On the vast grounds of the hotel, there are museum quality statues, antiques and artwork everywhere. Each day I saw something new and intriguing. Management and customer relations personnel were always present and went out of their way to be helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel-probably the best overall resort stay our family has ever experienced.

An absolute delightful place to stay!
This was a wonderful little piece of paradise. Property was quaint with a great private beach. Hotel staff went out of their way to provide excellent customer service. Food was good and reasonably priced and the ambience perfect. Our flight was delayed and we got to the hotel late. Manager on duty called the kitchen staff back and made dinner for us!
