Great time was had by all!
My famiky and i just returned from our week long stay in Costa Rica. We had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful. We were greeted by Kaly at the airport. We were six adults so we rented a car and he took half of us and the luggage back to the house and we followed him in the rental. Good idea! It's about 1 1/2 - 2 hr ride from SanJose. We were greeted at the house by Johan. He is very knowledgeable of the area was helpful with dinner plans and contacts. Very helpful. He checked on us just about every day to see if we needed anything. We did the ATV tour, bird watching on the Tarcoles River, toured Manuel Antonio Park, and a 1/2 day fishing. And, of course, the beautiful Playa Blanca! All were great! Wade, the owner, could not have been more helpful. He called while we were there to make sure everything was okay and I spoke to him quite a bit leading up to the vacation. Punta Leona is beautiful. A huge place. Gated. Very safe. All of CR was safe. You will most likely need a car. And the golf cart rental is the way to get around Punta Leona. The house suited us perfect. All the rooms had private baths, except the one small room upstairs with a double bed. Rosita does a great job of keeping the house clean. Spotless. The house had everything we needed for the week. It was very comfortable. I highly recommended.

Great Location with Fantastic View from Infinity Pool
We had 3 couples, first trip to Costa Rica for all of us. This is such a beautiful place occupied by very friendly people, many speak English. We all highly recommend a visit here. The host Wade will communicate with you on WhatsApp A LOT! :) This is a good thing especially if its your first time to visit. I chatted with Wade several times before our trip and he provided several useful contacts and suggestions for things to do. Both Wade and his assistant, Johan who lives nearby were always available and responsive to messages. The house had plenty of space with amazing views of Punta Leona in every bedroom. When we were at the house we spent most of our time on the deck with refreshingly cold infinity pool also with an amazing view. Highly recommend renting a golf cart if staying here. We had a 6 passenger electric cart that was great for getting up and down the steep hill to an from the beaches and nearby restaurants. Playa Blanca is about a 3 minute cart ride and its the most beautiful. We spent most of our time there. It was an easy drive to Jaco Beach and to Vista Los Suenos Adventure Park.

Costa Rica is beautiful!
The resort was great as far as it had a lot to offer. Beaches are beautiful. We rented the golf carts which was a definite must! Kaly was our transportation to and from the airport as well as our trip to Manuel Antonio National Park and he was amazing and full of information. The house was nice but outdated, could used some touch ups or updated decor. The 4th bedroom was very small, it suited our 16 year old but a couple it would not work for. The microwave didn't work very well and neither did the stove, older appliances and probably need to be replaced. Same with the dishes, some just need to be thrown out. We enjoyed our stay and the house was nice, I feel with a little bit of touch ups it could be perfect. Wade was very helpful, it would be nice to have more information available without having to ask him all the time. Maybe a better map for getting around and what all is available, we had fun driving around and figuring it out so that wasn't bad. The beach was so incredible and the restaurant on the beach was great! Prices were not bad at all! Highly recommend getting food prior to getting to the resort.

Perfect Family Vacation...Mom & Dad with 7 inquisitive Teenagers learning of Costa Rica Nature...Fantastic ! Incredible ! Unbelievable ! were some wonderful comments from learning experience the students mentioned...listening to singing birds, monkeys, sloths, iguanas, and experiencing beautiful Ecological landscape before going back to school to Johan & Rosita. Oops, Chef Jose leaves behind surplus plates from his local cuisine preparation. Yes, Electric oven is large, and guest love the Contemporary Convection/Oven/Roast Microwave system for food preps! Or dine at fun beach restaurants. The Kids loved driving the Golf carts everywhere to experience 300 acres of Ecological Punta Leona... So much to do....OK, We will see you again next year, before School starts...Pura vida !!

good view in a house that needs refreshing
We enjoyed our recent stay at the house but would be remiss not to mention a few challenges we found. The house is within a gated community with a long road to the house. What we didn’t expect was a windy, steep, bumpy and dark-at-night road that took 20+ minutes from the main gate to the house—without traffic, traffic makes it longer. If you are at all hesitant to drive in tricky conditions, this would not be for you. If you want quick access to restaurants, shops or activities you need to consider this before booking. Our challenge with the drive out of the property meant we shifted to more meals and more time at the house. While fully stocked, we found some of the kitchen supplies needing replacement. For example, stained & dirty cutting boards, cooking tools, plastic cups & blender. There weren’t enough serving utensils or bowls. The outdoor patio furniture was only suitable for 5 people and the outdoor picnic tables were not appealing. The bedrooms didn’t offer closet space for our clothes, they were locked or full of stuff. We had to live out of suitcases for the week. The beach & pool club does not automatically come with the rental. We purchased bracelets, but at times parking and towels were challenged by the guards. Johan was not very helpful. The house was not entirely clean or stocked when we arrived. Pros include great A/C, strong WIFI & Playa Blanca. We rented a golf cart from Raquel. She was very helpful in setting it up and recommending people to us.

Johan & Rosita and Golf Cart owner Raquel have been with us for 8 years and, yes, do provide wonderful attention and Current information for our guests. Your driving experience will be mentioned to the Butterflies, Monkeys, Sloths, Beautiful Lapis Birds, different cute animals of the worlds 4% of diversity Animal & Plant Life within 300 Acres of Punta Leona Private Resort. They will miss your honking the horn at them. Yes, you are correct mentioning to enjoy the private Beautiful Playa Blanca Beach "Underwater Museum". Remember, when we released the 100 "baby green turtles" we home they return to lay their eggs in the future..... Pura Vida Wade

Helpful owner/Good home
Wade and Johan were very helpful in getting our stay organized and providing a good experience to our family. Johan was very responsive for any of our local needs and questions. He was also well connected to provide us contacts for different activities. Location was very scenic but its a drive up through hilly area to get there. It was 30 minutes from Jaco, so you could go out to eat in a city rather than punta leone. We used a chef for dinner one night, I would highly recommend that. Resort is a bit dated, but it does have the normal activities that a typical resort would have.

Chef Jose enjoyed Cooking your Special Menu. "Hollywood" loves the natural Park environment & trails here and filmed movies, right where you drove your Golf Carts. The UNDERWATER Museum in Playa Blanca is spectacular, few meters from beach. You mentioned the Butterfly Farm, managed by Virginia University Students. And yes, Jaco is short drive south along with deep-sea fishing where guest love to catch "Rooster". We enjoyed assisting you. Again, thank you for being our guests! Pura vida Wade, Johan & Rosa

Also, close by are National Parks, Zip-Lining, Canopy, ATV's, Golf-Carts, Crocodile tours, White Water rafting, Paddle boarding and of course Deep-Sea FISHING Tournaments are all close by. This house is the perfect location
The property owner does an amazing job of making sure you get the most out of your stay. The house is just a few hundred meters from the best beach in the area. Jaco is a 12 minute drive from the entry into Punta Leona. This is where I will always stay when travelling with a larger group.

Wonderful holiday
Wonderful Four couples stayed in Wade,s lovely villa at Punta Leona for two weeks the views from the house and the pool were exceptional. We saw macaws, parakeets iguanas and raccoons almost every day. Playa Blanca is beautiful, and we had many fun days there, you have easy access to the restaurants and for shade you can rent sun beds and umbrellas at a reasonable price, and the sea temperature was wonderful and the waves so much fun.We saw the capuchin monkeys and was lucky enough to see the baby turtles being released. We booked several tours with Carlos (Transkaly) he was amazing very knowledgeable about the area and funny too and made our holiday we had the best time at mangoes and monkeys boating the guide was brilliant we also did the canopy tram tour at Jaco which we all found was interesting but way too expensive $70.00 US dollars each for little over an hour above the canopy not much to see no birds just different trees. We hired two golf carts they were a lot of fun although we had some problems with them Raquel replaced them for us. Rosa had the villa all ready for us and came back the next week while we were on an excursion and did another clean for us. As there are four couples one of the bedrooms is really small so we swapped after a week, all other three bedrooms were lovely and large with en suites. Johan was very helpful he got us a key for the safe and a technician to fix a problem with the ice maker. Wade provided lots of advice too Pura Vida

A group of 8 of us (four couples) enjoyed staying at this property very much. Wade, the owner is eager to help with everything about your trip to Costa Rica and provides all the information you'll need to plan a great trip. This luxury home is behind 3 guard gates just beyond the Punta Leona Hotel property which is huge. It takes 15 minutes from the entrance to wind your way back to the neighborhood of very high end homes that this is in. Johan, the property manager, was there to welcome us. He arranged for us to get wrist bracelets for the resort so that we could use the resort pools, restaurants and beaches. Playa Blanca is a beautiful beach with gentle surf. Umbrellas & chairs available for rent. I'd highly recommend getting golf carts to rent. Wade gives you all of the contact information to set that up. We rented 2 carts and had a total blast cruising around in them. Makes getting to the beach easy. Johan set us up to dine at a place called La Ostra where they treated us like royalty and he also arranged a private chef dinner at the house. That was a highlight of our entire trip... lounging by the pool at sunset as a great dinner is prepared for you. Awesome! The butterfly garden at the resort is also worth a visit. Magical. Just a note: 3 of the bedrooms are luxurious with awesome views. The 4th is tiny with a bath on a different floor. Best for 3 couples but 4 works if you buy the ones in that 4th room dinner & drinks. Wish we could have stayed longer

Excellent Family Retreat!
Beautiful views of Gulf of Nicoya, in a very spacious, relaxing setting, and the infinity pool is the perfect complement. Lots of local wildlife you can see from the multiple balcony's. Macaws, Toucans, Iguanas and more! The white sand beach -Playa Blanca is close but make sure you rent a golf cart or use a car as the hills are super steep and not ideal for walking.

5 family members stayed for 6 nights over Christmas week. White sand beach was quite nice. While private, it was pretty busy as you might expect for a holiday week. The house is located within a gated resort community within a larger gated development. The wrist bands you need to purchase and wear all the time are like those you wear in a hospital and a bit of a pain. The restaurant inside the complex is mediocre, but there are several nice ones just outside the community. highly recommend La Ostra.

One of our top vacations!
We had such an amazing time in Wade’s home. From start to finish, everything was just perfect! Wade was very helpful giving recommendations and helping to setup airport transfer. Once we got there, Johan walked us through the home and showed us everything we needed to know. It was impeccably clean, thank you Rosa! Johan was the perfect property manager throughout our visit. He helped us setup so many adventures and activities, and recommended fantastic food! We felt so well taken care of during our stay. The highlights of our trip were massages on the balcony (what a view!), ATVs with Ali Riders, surfing lessons in Jaco, private dinner with Chef Jose (do this at least once!), a spice and coffee farm tour at Finca Agrícola el Rocio (a drive but worth it, see it in the morning then go to Manuel Antonio), and ceviche de pescado at La Ostra! And the beach days… Incredible! Definitely get a golf cart (or two!) for your stay. They’re perfect for getting to the beach, community pool, and little grocery stores. They get delivered right to the driveway, it couldn’t be easier! I can’t say enough about how great our experience was. Thank you so much Wade, Johan, and Rosa for everything! We can’t wait to come back!

House with incredible views!
I rented this property for a bachelorette party and we had the time of our lives. The house was clean, spacious, and bedrooms had floor to ceiling windows to capture the views of the ocean. We were extremely lucky to get such good weather during the rainy season and LOVED spending time by the infinity pool. Anything that we needed, Johan was quick to answer and provide for us. Besides a few amenities that were older/not working, the house was perfect for our trip. Just be aware that the house is located deep in a resort and it takes 20 mins alone just to get out of the resort. We had Kalyn as our driver all stay and we highly recommend using him over Ubers and other ride share options. Kalyn was helpful, punctual, and so much fun! Wade the owner, is an extremely communicative host and will go lengths to make sure your stay is perfect. We all highly recommend booking this house!

Amazing Property
Place is amazing!! Wade the owner was in town so we got a personal tour of the area as well. The entire house has AC..rare in CR. Kitchen has everything you would need..Great having a washer dryer as well. The view from the pool deck where we had early AM coffee and watched the whales in the distance was wonderful. Make sure you spend time at both Playa Blanca and the main pool area as well. NOTE. It I'm a LONG drive from entrance of Punta Leona to the house but a beautiful area. Sad to leave.

Incredible views
Wade was an excellent host, very helpful and flexible with our groups' needs. The view from almost every corner of the house is amazing. We even saw a whale from the terrace. We had a great time at Punta Leona and enjoyed Playa Blanca!

Bottom line: great place to stay! House is great. Views are spectacular. Everyone is super helpful. More details: The listing is accurate & reviews are helpful. As with much of Costa Rica, the roads are very narrow, steep & windy. Beautiful home is 15 minutes from main highway (Rt 34) & road is congested w/walkers, cyclists, buses, etc. especially on Saturday, Sunday & some afternoons. Rent a golf cart for steep inclines getting back from beach. Home has lots of towels, toilet paper, bathrooms, etc. Bring your own hand soap, shower soap, shampoo, toiletries. Home has lots of pots, pans, dishes, glasses, blender, toaster, etc. Bring your own salt, spices, pan spray, storage bags, coffee, storage bowls w/lids if needed. Home has AC & ceiling fans in each bedroom & living area.

Great home and location
Spacious home with wonderful view of the Pacific, particularly from the infinity pool deck. Property manager was very attentive and helpful with excursion recommendations. Recommend renting a golf cart from nearby business to easily get down and up the hill when traveling within the resort area.

Our Stay At Wade’s
We Lovedddd Wade’s house we loved the ocean views it was very spacious and clean the pool was absolutely amazing , we seen beatuiful birds , iguanas and more.. Everyone was so friendly and very helpful we enjoyed going to the waterfall tour in the rainforest and most of all the food this overall experience was great.

Spectacular Costa Rica Beach House
Nothing will disappoint when you stay in this home. This extraordinary house is exactly as pictured. The views are breath-taking. Wade and Johan were both generous with their time and full of valuable information. Wade provided countless ideas for how to spend your time in Costa Rica. Johan was available with local suggestions for surfing, where to buy fresh seafood, sailing and basically anything you needed. Our stay was perfect in every way. We hope to visit again soon!

Lovely stay in Punta Leona
Beautiful and safe location so close to an amazing beach and restaurant. Everyone in the party was amazed at the beautiful views. Morning birds were breathtaking. Lots of room, the fourth bedroom is a little tight with minimal storage but the ample living area still allowed for everyone to spread out. Thank you to Wade for his support throughout the stay.

Great Views! Tons of Birds!
You can spend a week just sitting by the pool and watching the ocean and birds! It is a breathtaking view, and we saw almost constant birds flying around, including a couple of parrots that live in the palm tree next to the deck. The house itself is great! There are no less than 3 gates to go thru, so it is very secure and safe. The owner was eager to assist and answer any questions. Maybe a little too much communication if anything. :-) The only draw back is that it is a good 20 minutes from the main road/neighborhood entrance to the house, and the neighborhood seems to allow day visitors which can cause some traffic getting to and from the house. If your plan is to just relax at the house and enjoy the beach, then this place is tremendous. Plenty of room and the whole house speaker system is a nice touch. We had a night time visitor because one of the sliding glass doors had a loose panel, so make sure you lock up tight. Air conditioning in the bedrooms is great, but there was a near constant breeze, so almost unnecessary. I think during the week is where this location really shines, since there are few outside visitors to the neighborhood. Note that Sunday traffic heading back towards San Jose is out of control. I cannot describe how bad it is and it continues late into the night. Just stay home on Sundays. Overall, I would say that this is an ideal destination type location, but maybe not the best place if you plan to do a lot of exploring the area as the drive in and out of the neighborhood is tiresome. That said, I would definitely recommend!

Wade, the owner, from the very start before I even made reservations was extremely helpful and answered my questions. He made sure that everything was well taken care of even before we flew to costa rica. He gave detail answers to everything. The property itself was beautiful. From the house down to the location; everything you need he will take care of it. I would definitely recommend staying here and would absolutely stay again whenever I get back to Costa Rica. House, pool, and views were amazing.

Magical
Great for energic teens, parents and grandparents. Us elders spent many pleasant hours on the various decks enjoying the stunning views, bird watching, enjoying the breeze and infinity pool. The others went to several beaches but reported the Playa Blanca right here was the best. Nearly all the rooms have spectacular views. Felt absolutely safe with all the security of Punta Leona. House is stunning and well equipped. The beds are very comfortable. Johann, a property manager went way out of his way to meet our needs and answer questions. I would love to spend a week or two a year here.

Family vacation
This was our first time in Costa Rica. Our party included six adults (one 21 year old, parents, grandparents). This was a beautiful property that met our needs - great beach down the road, running/walking paths and hiking on the large, safe property, and lots of space to spread out in the house, etc. We got in much later than expected because immigration took hours, though, and it got dark before we were at the house; good written directions with a map would have been really helpful finding it. Driving there, the main road that we were looking for doesn't come up in Google Maps, and we were diverted to small roads for some reason, so the drive took longer than it was supposed to. So, it was a bit rough checking in but once that ordeal was over we had a great time. I would just suggest making sure that you get in early in the day, or that you already know the area if you get in later. There are lots of good small restaurants in the area and several fish markets and fruit stands.

2021 Thanksgiving in Costa Rica
What more can we say that what's been said before? The views are stunning, the assistance and advice from Wade and his staff were immeasurable. The house was clean when we arrived. The rooms are spacious. The grounds of Punta Leona are beautiful, the resort's amenities offer volleyball, mini-golf to a very unusual outdoor workout area and great pools. The food at the pavilion restaurant was particularly authentic. Playa Blanca is one of the most beautiful beaches we've visited. Definitely walk out to the peninsula separating Playa Mantas and Playa Blanca. Johan was attentive and extremely helpful with our arrival. He showed us the place, how the various appliances work, where everything was located. He's a gem. It's a 10 out of 10 in our book. Seven people were comfortable, slept and partied well. Coffee in the mornings listening to the birds, watching the boats was a daily ritual. Every morning around 7:15 the macaws (2-4) fly right over the house.. and you can hear them coming. There is a toucan that visits the trees when looking straight out from the pool porch. There is a beach called Playa Caletillas that can be accessed from the house. It's a steep hike, but recommended! The house comes with some beach accessories (we added two new boogie boards), however Playa Blanca offers chairs and umbrellas for a reasonable price. Make sure you visit Playa Blanca everyday you are there because the Capuchin monkeys DO visit! We could go on, but go see for yourselves! Pura Vida as they say and thanks Wade and staff for all of your help.

Breathtaking Punta Leona
Five ladies enjoyed a birthday trip to Wade's beautiful home. We all commented how much better we slept there than in our own beds. Was it the soothing lullaby of the tropical birds outside our balconies? The plush mattresses? The super soft linens? Yes, yes and yes. The house is gorgeous. Views from every angle. Lush landscaping at entryway. Great lighting options. Ceiling fans inside and out if you prefer natural breeze over a/c. Full size washer/dryer came in very handy after beach days. Smart TV with top streaming services provided evening entertainment. Highly recommend in-house chef Jose. He provided fresh, hearty breakfasts each day for an affordable rate. Property manager Johan was so helpful upon arrival and remained available for all questions during our stay. And Wade? Well this is an owner like no other. He has prepped me with valuable advice for 3 months now. Any potential hiccups were avoided due to his thorough guidance. I so appreciate the thought and care put into our first visit to CR. It most certainly will not be our last. PURA VIDA! 💜

Amazing views
Wade, the owner, was very considerate. His home was beautiful with great view of the ocean in many rooms and throughout the main living space. The home had an open concept with many windows and a pool with sitting deck that was very enjoyable. Johan was also very easy to reach and meet. The neighborhood was winding but overall easy to navigate. Wade was so very helpful and kind. We loved his home. My friends and family were all so very happy.

Casa #16 absolutely wonderful
The property is amazing and fit our family of 8 perfect. Excellent views, great beach (Playa Blanca) and an overall awesome experience. Wade Elliot made sure we were set for our short vacation. Johan was on top of everything we needed/asked of him. Johan even went out of the way to turn off the coffee pot while we were away (completely forgot to turn off before leaving the property for the morning). He helped us with transportation (shuttle and golf cart). While it is a short walk to the beach (roughly 12 minutes), I recommend a golf cart for transportation to and from the beach for ease (steep hill to climb). The house had everything we needed for our stay! If needing COVID testing traveling to U.S. check out eMed website for "at home" testing. It was quick, easy, and cost much less for a pack. The entire family loved our stay and most definitely plan to visit again! Thank you Wade and Johan!

Look no further.....Absolutely perfect
Our group has been to Costa Rica many times and Punta Leona in particular. We will never stay anywhere else after our time here! To begin, the owner Wade is amazing. So very helpful and the process is dialed in and smooth. Johan the property manager is also amazing and was available to help anytime we needed it or had questions. The property itself is perfect. Unbelievable views and sunsets, right from the pool. A quick golf cart ride to playa Blanca and one of the best beaches in Costa Rica. Also, if you are traveling with family or concerned about safety, this is as secure of a place to stay as you could ask for. Beautiful views, great home.
Wonderful place to stay! The views at Wade's house are amazing! Sitting by the pool in the AM with a coffee and watching all the tropical birds is a great way to start the day, then head down the white sand Playa Blanca beach to spend the afternoon. The area is well secured and very quiet. We only used two rooms and the beds were very comfortable. Lots of things to do on and off the resort. House was stocked with plenty of towels and everything we needed. Johan the property manager was always friendly and wanting to help find things for us to do. 10/10 great stay and house - hope to come back some day!

Amazing house, and amazing attention.
I will start by remarking the great attention from Wade and Johan, they were extremely helpful with anything that we need and any special request that we may had. Now, the house is amazing, the pictures don't do justice of the views and how beautiful the house is, and it also have anything that you could need. Playa blanca is one of the most beautiful beaches in Puntarenas, and is only 1 minute away in car. We will definitely come back, and would recommend this house for anyone :)

AMAZING VIEWS
Great house! We were a 2 families of 4 with teenaged boys. We had plenty of room in the home. Very well stocked with essentials and towels. Enough parking for 2 SUVs and 2 golf carts (best way to get to the beach). The beach is truly amazing. White sand, no rocks, great sunsets. The owner, Sr Elliott, was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed to make our arrival and departure go smoothly. Johan, the property manager, was there to greet us as well as set up the golf cart rentals, ATV tours, and prívate chef for a romantic Valentine’s dinner at the house. The house has a pool but we honestly didn’t even use it since we were mostly at the beach. We did enjoy coffee every morning on the patio taking in the gorgeous view. Definitely would like to return!
