Thank you for taking the time to review you stay. I’m very sorry they were undertaking noisy work next door and that it was disruptive to your stay. I would like to clarify you were informed of the building work 10 days prior to arrival and not 2 days. It was unfortunately out of our control and we did not know that they would be undertaking noisy work during your stay. Most of the season the work next door hasn’t been disruptive to our guests enjoyment, so I’m very sorry that it was particularly noisy during your stay. We unfortunately were not informed beforehand what they would be working on the week of your stay, but I do wish, though, you would’ve reached out and informed us of any issues or concerns, as we could have spoken with the builder and/or offered alternative accommodation for you or allowed you to cancel the reservation prior to arrival without penalty. The only thing we were able to offer was a discount on your stay, as unfortunately you never reached out during your stay so I was not aware of the work until the evening before departure. I would like to reassure you and all our future guests, though, that they are expecting to complete construction by end of this year, so I am happy to confirm that it is nearing completion 👍 As for the glass by the pool, this is truly horrible and the first I’ve been informed of this problem you experienced, and I really wish once again, you would have reported it to me or our property manager straight away and not after your stay. We have a strict no glass rule by the pool area, so this is something that we should have been alerted to straight away as this is dangerous and should have been attended by our property management company and not by our guests! Again, I’m very sorry this happened. We had no idea and only have found out about your problem through your review. I will also speak with the gardener about the bromine level in the jacuzzi. Thank you once again for review and for informing us of the issues experienced. For future stays with us or with any other host, I do encourage you to reach out to your host when you have an issue as all of these issues could have been addressed if we would have been aware. I'm very glad you thoroughly enjoyed your stay at Villa Alta Vista, and sincerest apologies that you weren't able to have the pool lights switched on during your visit. Our property manager had contacted us immediately about the situation when first notified, but she then understood you had found them, so apologies for the misunderstanding. Would we have known that you had been unsuccessful in finding the switch following our conversation, we most definitely would have sent the gardener out to assist you. We'll be sure to review pool lighting instructions with our property manager for future reference.
