Nice INN

Shower is very tight and maid forgot to bring new set of towels the following day. Complimentary bottled water would have been nice too. Otherwise, it was a very nice inn conveniently located to a bus stop. Would stay again.

Malta accommodation is expensive and this room is no exception. Stone walls and floors cold on the feet , duvet too thick for comfortable sleeping, but a fridge & coffee making facilities were good. Main problem was trying to get hot water to wash or shower. Finally fixed on the day I left. No shops nearby and evening meals either meant going to another village or eating at only one or two places. I wouldn't stay here again and it's definitely not a place for a family stay, in my opinion.

The location is strategically placed between the airport and Valletta, essentially there is NO easy street parking available. I relied on the bus, routes from Valletta serving the area include No. 81, 82, 84 & 88 journey time 20-25 minutes approximately every 15-20 minutes. A 5-10 minute walk from the respective bus stop. Check-in was welcoming, I was allocated Room 4, a single double bed with ensuite bathroom, each presented to a high cleaning standard. There was NO TV but the Wifi was good. The bed was comfortable. Also for an extra €15 a contential breakfast was offered. Definitely stay again.

HATED no staff at check in time to get in. My phone was acting up and I had to first get my cab driver to call the number posted by the door and step inside. Then I stepped inside (super cute) and hoped I could find a code for their WiFi because we were still not given the key (wanted a photo of our passport first)…. We searched for 10 minutes to find internet password and I finally had to knock on another guest’s door to request it from her. This is a very BAD way to start a trip with an otherwise nice property! Both the WiFi, and the request for passport photos SHOULD have been given at least 24 hours before arrival (we are SuperHosts with 4 rental properties ourselves). Also the place is VERY dark at night and it was challenging to navigate the many stairs at night….we had to walk 4 flights of stairs (to reach the room at the top which WAS very nice!!!) but needed lights too

Where was the customer service???

Arrived early by bicycle on the ferry. Arrived at the place early and the owner’s daughter allowed us to leave our panniers and check in later. Back later and the desk clerk checked us in and showed us where we could store our bikes. Everything seemed good. The room was comfortable and the wifi reception was good. Later that night, the clerk came back and said that due to a clerical error, we had been allocated the wrong room and asked that we relocate. Stuff happens, so we moved. The new room had no outside window and smelled badly of mildew and mould. And where was the wifi? The clerk apologized and said that they were trying to rectify the problem, but that would not happen until after we leave. Even the regular service was sporadic — at best. I have several clients that I need to be in contact with. Then, the next day, the Clerk said that the owner told him that the bikes needed to be moved out to the front of the hotel and chained to a fence. Really? His daughter saw the bikes. No comment from her. And, no direct communication from the owner! No apologies or rationale. Just rants at the clerk. My recommendation — look elsewhere.

Charming guesthouse

We loved the Burrow! It has a lot of character and has been nicely renovated without losing the charm of an old house. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was included and you could have wished for some fresh bread but otherwise there was plenty to choose from and we could have it outside in the atrium. There are a lot of stairs and steps so I would not recommend it to disabled or families with toddlers. We had room nine with a private, very nice, bathroom and our own balcony. The bed is quite short, which is fine for us, but might be an issue for someone taller. The area is residential but if you walk ten minutes to Paola you find shops and restaurants. We can especially recommended a small Italian one on the right side of the church, Panormus Tavernetta. Very good food and friendly owner. The bus to Valletta is 12 minutes away.

Pågående renoveringsarbeten. Fuktigt och instängt. Borde inte tagit emot gäster under pågående renoveringsarbeten. Dock nära till flygplats och frukostpaket klara trots mycket tidig morgon.

Great stay, but flexible service

This is an amazing hotel, based on looks and the comfort of the rooms. Although, you should be in no rush. When we arrived no one was there to let us in. We had to use our own phones to call the hotel. We waited and then the mother of the owner let us in. We left the hotel with no keys cause there were none at the hotel, and could therefor not lock the door to our room. I think the arrangement is that the girl who work at the hotel also lives there. The morning after the breakfast was late but it was not a problem. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, the whole hotel is beautiful. It is very comfortable. But you need to be on a trip where you don't need too much service from the people working at this B&B and where you have much time.

Trevligt familjeägt townhouse

Trevligt, charmigt familjeägt townhouse i Tarixen. Ligger mycket bra till när man vill ta sig runt på östra sidan samt Valetta dock så finns det inte så mkt annat i hotellets närområde. Rent och mkt bra service.

Wystrój rewelacyjny, ale na tym koniec...Mimo wykupionej rezerwacji online trzeba się prosić (telefonicznie) o dokonanie odbioru swojego pokoju, który był opłacony z góry. Pomimo wpisu o check in od 16-19 nie ma nikogo na miejscu. Sama rezerwacja nie wystarczy aby móc się zameldować - musisz przesyłać im foto dokumentów itd. Nie jest to żadnym standardem na Malcie. Obsługa nie miła. Następnego dnia w trakcie śniadania prawie na talerz została nam wręczona kartka do wypełnienia z danymi. Przy wyjeździe dla pani, która tam pracowała liczyło się tylko to, żeby oddać jej klucze i to jeszcze w czasie, gdy nie był czas wymeldowania (na korytarzu wychodząc ze śniadania chciała, żeby klucze zostały zwrócone). Pokój śmierdzący stęchlizną (dopiero jak otworzyliśmy okienko można było czymś oddychać), kosz w toalecie nie był opróżniony. "Śniadanie" przy stolikach, które nie były posprzątane. Ubogie (parę kromek chleba tostowego na wszystkich gości, mały serek pokrojony na 5 kawałków, 2 rodzaje wędliny w plasterkach) i niesmaczne. Ogólnie brak serdeczności i zainteresowania gośćmi.

Pros: closed by bus station and airport. Cons: no tv, no 24/7 receptionist We got there earlier so we just leave our luggage and came back at 4pm to check in. I noticed their is no soap, so we went out to buy one, I send the review to Expedia about not having soap the next day they provided soap and hair dryer which we appreciate. Please be reminded that this property is a guesthouse no 24/7 receptionist, if you will be arriving late night or early in the morning make sure you have a clear communication to the management and you fully understand the instructions that will be provided to you. I booked a courtyard room with a king bed but I was given something else which is fine with us. We didn’t had a chance to have their breakfast because we woke up late, I don’t have any idea what kind of breakfast their serving. Over all our stay is satisfactory.

Notre séjour a été agréable bien que notre arrivée hors horaire 19h15 ait été assez laborieux ; Obligée de fournir par message une copie de nos deux passeports en plus de la réservation afin d'obtenir le code de la boite à clé . Sans téléphone avec nous cela n'aurait pas été possible . La maison est trés bien restaurée, chambre avec terrasse tout en haut trés agréable . Je déplore simplement que les petits déjeuners ne soient pas proposés . Le distributeur automatique à disposition ne remplacera jamais un petit déjeuner . Pour une mison d'hôte quelques capsules de café mises à disposition aurait été le bienvenues sans avoir à les acheter via le distributeur , car même pour utiliser la machine à expresso il nous a fallu acheter une bouteille d'eau car rien n'a été mis à disposition . Pour le reste, tout était ok, trés jolie décoration .
