“As seasoned travelers over decades, both within Australia and OS, we had high expectations for this 2-night stay which were not met, given the price point. This was not a cheap stay, but we were happy to pay for a different 'experience'. Nice area but! The obvious things included unlike what was advertised about "Free Wi-Fi. Available in the cottage" it didn't exist. We didn't even have mobile reception unless we walked to the 'Telstra pole' (their written advice in room) at next property where...

“The host came and spoke to us asking about our two dogs we had with us during our stay. He was somewhat upset and rude. We were told the hosts were fine with dogs, however we needed to let them know beforehand and us bringing them would attract an additional fee. This was not mentioned anywhere in the Expedia listing and we were taken quite aback as we had no knowledge of this rule. The owner also told us he would lock up their pet chickens during our stay.
