We arrived sooner than we planned and Freddie was kind to allow us an early check in. His place was beautiful and overlooked the river. Due to family & wedding festivities, we were only there long enough to sleep but a hot coffee on the back porch listening to the birds and rushing water is on our to do list next time. Comfy beds, comfy sheets and comforters, and plenty of space for a large group. WiFi signal was great. I mentioned to Freddie that there seemed to be a lady bug family living upstairs and he is getting them relocated promptly. All in all, great host, great place, great price.

I had to call the owner the day before we were supposed to arrive and let him know, I was unable to come with my family because we all got the flu. But my sister-in-law and her husband were still able to go. She let me know that the house was very nice, very clean, and in a really great location for where we needed to be. She recommended that we try to book it again whenever we go to visit my father-in-law. She said it was a perfect set up for when multiple families need to stay together, which is what we had booked it for. Unfortunately, only her and her husband were able to go since everyone else got sick. But she said it was a great place to stay. The owner was very accommodating and answered the phone every time I called to work it out so that he could get her all of the check-in information. He answered any questions that we had. And I imagine we will definitely book this house again!

Kiera’s graduation

My husband and I, my brother and his wife and grandson as well as my parents stayed in this beautiful cabin during the weekend of Dora High School graduation. My great niece graduated and we had such a great time after at the cabin. We al gathered around the fire pit for hot dogs and smores . It truly was wonderful!! From brother and his family live in Indiana so we don’t get to visit as often as we like but there are already plans in the making to return to the cabin for another family retreat .

Cabin Community

Our stay at Overlook was so wonderful. Spending evenings on the deck was divine with all the amazing trees and rushing water below. Very inviting cabin for any occasion with friends and family. Dawt Mill is just a jot down the road alongsidethe cabin.

Just Perfect!

Lifelong friends out for an autumn visit to the Ozarks. Perfect central location for visiting old grist mills, trout farm and restaurant, and just hanging out on the deck overlooking the river playing cards and drinking wine! Definitely plan to come back here

Overlook Awesome

First time using VRBO, everything went great. Overlook is an AWESOME piece of Heaven on Earth. Overlooking the North Fork, hearing the ripples while sitting on the back porch was so relaxing and enjoyed by all, ages 50-78. The fall colors made even more enjoyable. Freddy you will be hearing from me and my family again for another weekend or longer stay. Thank you.

Gorgeous Inside and Out!

“Wow!” sums it up! This place is homey, comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated in a modern farmhouse, cabin style. We enjoyed the warm fireplace after being outside on a cool, wet day. The one thing that pictures cannot capture, is the peaceful sound of the river, rushing behind the cabin. It is such a serene experience to sit on your covered deck, surrounded by trees, and just relax your mind and body. Freddy, our host, was very friendly, accommodating, and patient! Don’t hesitate to book this property ! You’ll love every inch! ❤️

Amazing cabin on the infamous White River

Christmas Trip to the Overlook Cabin

The Overlook was everything we expected. It was beautiful, cozy, peaceful, and had all the amenities needed for our 10-day stay. The owner set up a Christmas tree for us so Santa had a place to put the gifts for our grandchildren! We had a great time and would recommend the Overlook for your next family vacation.

Amazing!

I rented this cabin in October to stay at for the weekend of my wedding. My husband is from this area and we have floated the Norfork so many times. We decided to have our wedding in the area and needed a place to stay. This cabin is absolutely breathtaking! Every little detail of the cabin is just beautiful! The river is perfect. Even at night, you can hear the rapids. It is so soothing and relaxing. The view of the colorful leaves over the river was incredible! Highly recommend this place!

Great family getaway

We stayed at this house for a quick family getaway/ some nearby hiking. The house was great and very cozy. We loved the living room fireplace. It has a really nice view of the river! It felt private on the back porch, and I think the front will feel more secluded once the yard is finished. Great new house, we’d love to come back again next year.
