Tellico River Retreat

  • Completely unplug after touring the Cherohala Skyway or hiking at the falls in our private rustic cabin on the water just two minutes off the world-famous Cherohala Skyway on Tellico River. This queen bed one-room cabin with a full bathroom has all of the essentials you need for a quiet couples getaway or small family trip. Enjoy the scenic views of the river on the deck overlooking the water, or walk down to the river to relax by the firepit and build a fire.

    The space
    This is a small cabin with kitchenette with all of the basic essentials to have meals at home. All linens are provided. There is a queen bed that sleeps two, a pullout couch that could sleep two children or two small adults, a small table and chairs, and a full bathroom with tub. We really want our guests to relax and enjoy the outdoors on the deck with table and chairs, and a new firepit down by the river. Dogs are allowed for a $50 fee each. No smoking in the cabin.

Loved that it’s on the creek, and close to amenities. The back patio is nice. Bed was comfortable. WiFi and/or a TV would be nice, but for the price it’s good. Also is nice that pets are allowed

Love this little cabin. Perfect for just me or just me and my son! Right on the water and easy access to the river upstream. If you're solo or have a buddy / kid, this is the spot. Everything you need to cook, super clean and comfortable.

The quietest place I ever stayed anywhere! Kitchen had everything if you wanted to cook and a grill out on the deck, where I spent a lot of time , watching life out on the river. Shower had plenty of HOT water with great water pressure. Absolutely PERFECT… including contact with the host. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return.

Get Cabin clean and Just what we needed came down with my Husband daughter and grand baby this was the perfect getaway loved sitting on the back porch overlooking the river it had everything we needed. We will definitely be staying there again in the future.

The property was charming and peaceful, with a balcony overlooking the river that made it especially refreshing and serene. While the interior is on the smaller side, it comfortably accommodated our family of four—even with an extra blow-up mattress for one of the kids. The hosts were incredibly responsive; when we accidentally got locked out, they quickly arranged maintenance for us. We would definitely stay here again.

This little cabin is exactly as pictured. It was pet friendly, we had our 2 dogs with us during our stay and the yard was big enough they were able to get out and run around on their leashes. It was clean and tiddy and the deck overlooking the river was amazing! Inside, the bed was comfortable and it has a comfy couch and they even have a few games there to play. The kitchen was stocked with a few pots and pans for cooking on the cooktop along with glasses, cups, plates and silverware. If you are looking for somewhere to disconnect and hit the refresh button this is the place to do it, It was so relaxing and peaceful.

Great little cabin

We were in the area for some spring whitewater paddling and this little cabin was perfect. Right off of main street and just a short drive into the mountains. Would definitely stay here again!

It was a very nice and peaceful stay. There isn’t a tv but there was board games and a river right in the back yard so need for a tv! Was able to spend quality time with the family with no electronics in the way! Perfect little get away!

Simple, Cozy, and Clean

My wife and I stayed here while trout fishing on the upper Tellico river. This cabin was as advertised. It and the amenities were very basic, but this cabin was clean and overall we had a very good experience.
