Beste Lage in traumhafter Finca
Unsere Erwartung war hoch, nach unserer 6 stündigen Anreise hat uns Fabians Mutter die Finca gezeigt und alle unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Tolles Haus mit Blick auf den Atlantik und den Teide (wenn das Wetter mitspielt). Es ist alles vorhanden was man zum Leben benötigt und der Gemüsegarten gibt frische Peperoni, Kreuter, Avocado und viel mehr zum Kochen oder Grillen. Das El Calderito ist übrigens auch sehr zu empfehlen wenn man nichts kochen mag. Wir waren 2x dort um uns durch die Karte zu Essen, wirklich sehr lecker! Am Abend steht ein Ofen für kühlere Abende im Haus, der es sehr gemütlich macht. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und glücklich! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder....

Insgesamt super. Bei der Lage ziehen wir einen Stern wegen des Hundegebells ab. Wegen der unzureichenden Küchenausstattung und der Sauberkeit z.B. der Gläser ziehen wir einen Stern ab. Leider war der Boden nach Benutzung der Waschmaschine nass..

Erholsamer und ruhiger Urlaub in traumhafter Finca
Wir hatten einen wunderbaren und tollen Urlaub in der Finca Oscar Buchhard am Ortsrand von La Orotava. Die Finca liegt inmitten der Weinberge und zur Begrüßung wurden wir mit einem Willkommenspaket von Fabian erwartet. Zur Finca gehört ein Garten mit Paprika, Zitronengras, Mandarinen und viel mehr in dem man sich bedienen darf. Der Vermieter war super herzlich und hat uns bei Ankunft auch noch ein paar Tipps für die Umgebung gegeben. Auch die Schlüsselübergabe war super problemlos und unproblematisch. Alles in allem hatten wir einen super Aufenthalt und können die Finca nur weiterempfehlen.

Sehr schöne ruhig gelegene Finca in Mitten von Weinreben und Avocadobäumen. Sehr guter Startpunkt um die Insel zu erkunden, da zentral gelegen.

Schöne Finca im Orotovatal
Die Finca liegt oberhalb von Puerta de la Cruz im Orotavatal. Von der Terrasse hat man einen sehr schönen Blick durch das grüne Tal auf den Teide. Der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat 2 Restaurants in denen man sehr gut die kanarische Küche geniessen kann. Auf dem Grundstück der Finca werden Gemüse und Wein angebaut und man kann sich im Garten selbst bedienen für die eigene Küche. Bedingt durch die Lage im Norden und die Höhenlage kann es auch kühl und öfters mal bedeckt sein. Da ist es gut das im Haus ein Ofen vorhanden ist. Ansonsten ist alles vorhanden was man für einen längeren Aufenthalt braucht.

Spacious, well appointed, private property surrounded by lovely gardens.

Erholung pur mit vielen Extras
Wir sind im März 2019 nach Teneriffa geflogen, um ein wenig Sonne und Ruhe zu tanken. Aufgrund des Wetters im Norden (die Finka liegt rech hoch am Berg und war daher im März leider noch nicht so sonnenverwöhnt) sind wir viel mit dem Mietwagen gen Sonne gefahren. Einen Mietwagen sollte man hier auch haben, da die Finca recht abgeschieden liegt. Nach Orotava läuft man rund 20 Minuten. Fabian ist ein großartiger Gastgeber! Wir trafen uns in seinem Restaurant ‚el calderito‘, wo wir auch 2 mal essen waren. Die Speisen sind typisch kanarisch, sehr frisch und wahnsinnig gut zubereitet - ein Gaumenschmaus! Auf der Finca angekommen zeigte uns Fabian erstmal den riesigen Gemüsegarten, aus dem wir uns nach Herzenslust bedienen durften. Auch Feuerholz für den Kamin oder die Feuerstelle auf der Terasse war in Mengen vorhanden. Das Haus ist modern und grosszügig eingerichtet. Besonders der Gasherd und die große ebenerdige Dusche haben es uns abgetan... Vielen Dank Fabian für einen fantastischen Urlaub!

Very nice house set on a vineyard on the outskirts of La Orotava
We greatly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. Fabian met us on the evening of arrival and explained everything to us. The house is very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and a good bathroom and shower. The fireplace and ample supplies of firewood were very nice to have in January when it can get chilly in the evening (for Tenerife!). La Orotava is a very beautiful old town with many good restaurants (e.g. La Zafra) and cafes, about 15 minutes walk away. Shopping is down by the motorway - a car is really a must for getting around. If you like hiking, the north coast of Tenerife is a paradise - you can go straight up to Aguamansa, to the west to Teno or to the East to Anaga. There is a higher likelihood of clouds and showers during the winter time in the North, but then one can drive over to the south which is a short distance away. We were very happy with our stay.

Gorgeous large finca with everything you could need
The finca is gorgeous with a lot of living space and outside space too, a very well equipped kitchen, great WiFi, a very comfortable bed and amazing views. We had a lovely warm welcome from the owner Fabian when we met him at one of his restaurants. A glass of wine with a snack of his famous delicious eggs was very welcome after our journey. The finca is very close to the village of La Orotava where we enjoyed some great food. It is advisable you have a car but it is also easy to work out and use the local buses which seem to always be on time and cabs are plentiful after a short walk into La Orotava. Being up in the hills above the town can mean the weather is a couple of degrees cooler than the temperatures down by the coast but, for the cooler months there is a wood burner which just adds to the ambience. The barbecue is a lovely added extra and the supermarket only a 10 minute drive away. Picking veg out of the garden is great fun and the wine from the vineyard owned by Fabian is delicious. We can’t wait to return.

Perfect In, Perfect Out.
Bodega Burchard was a fantastic place for the two of us to relax, cook,enjoy the amazing views, take forays into the nearby town of La Oratava with it's beautiful buildings and many good bars and restaurants and best of all as a base to set off on some memorable walks in the stunning Orotava valley! We chose to arrive by bus and Fabian very kindly picked us up at the station to take us up to the property and show us around. After that he pretty much left us to our selves but he was immediately on hand the one time we asked for some extra wood for the cosy burner! All the amenities have been covered well in other reviews and we can only agree that they are excellent, what hasn't been mentioned much is car versus bus. Yes ideally a car would be useful when staying here but if you fancy an adventure with the local transport, with a little research and practice the rewards are immense. It is a good 15mins walk into town which on a hot day for anybody with fitness issues may be a challenge but the taxis are cheap, friendly and plentiful. Fabulous place to stay. The property has been finished to a really high standard.
Set in a beautiful vine yard and vegetable garden, with lots of outdoor space. Beautiful views from the front and back of the property. The pretty medieval town of La Orotava is a 15 minute walk away with everything you need there. Fabian the host is extremely helpful and friendly and will help with any questions straight away. Would definitely recommend this property for a relaxing stay but with plenty of places/beaches to visit a short drive away.

Tolles Haus!!
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem sehr schönen Haus wirklich genossen. Die Finca ist äußerst geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alles ist sehr sauber, gepflegt und macht einen hochwertigen Eindruck. SUPER! Der Ausblick auf das Orotava-Tal bis zum Meer und auch auf den Teide ist wunderbar. Wir konnten im Garten vorhandenes Gemüse selbst ernten und zubereiten, draußen Grillen oder es uns drinnen am Kamin gemütlich machen. Sogar das Holz für den Kamin wurde bereitgestellt. Wir haben uns gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Durch das tolle Haus und die wunderbare Umgebung konnten wir einen tollen Urlaub auf Teneriffa verbringen. Vielen Dank für Alles und bis bald!

Tolle Unterkunft in ländlicher Region
Sehr schöne Finca mit loftartigem Living-/Schlafraum. Tolle Gastgeber, die einem alles zeigen und in den Gemüsegarten einweisen. Einziger Nachteil ist die nahe Strasse und dass wir eine Maus in der Wohnung hatten. Ansonsten wirklich super zum erholen und abschalten.

wunderbar
Wir waren im September 14 Tage auf der Finca Oscar Burchardt. Es war von Anfang an einfach nur perfekt. Wir sind bereits 9:40 auf Teneriffa gelandet und waren daher zu früh dran, um einzuchecken. Daraufhin wurden wir von den Vermietern zum Essen in einem ihrer Restaurants eingeladen. Essen war fabelhaft. Im Haus war alles, was man für einen Urlaub benötigt. Im Kühlschrank fanden wir Milch, Saft, Käse. Es gab frische Brötchen, Croissants und Laugengebäck, Toastbrot und Wein, etwas Obst und Marmelade. Man war also für den ersten Tag versorgt. Wunderbar war auch, dass man sich im Gemüsegarten nach Herzenslust bedienen durfte. Rund ums Haus gibt es mehrere Gelegenheiten zum Sitzen. Hinterm Haus, das entspricht dem Blick aus dem Küchenfenster, hat man einen wunderbaren Blick ins Orotavatal. Vor dem Haus blickt man auf den Teide. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Eine kleine Anmerkung hätte ich noch. Das andere Haus auf dieser Finca hat einen kleinen eigenen Pool. Das hätte das Ganze noch getoppt.

Un havre de paix...
Nous avons passé un séjour formidable dans ce charmant chalet entouré de vignes, et d'une végétation luxuriante. Nous avons été accueilli par le propriétaire très sympathique, qui avait même prévu un"panier d'accueil" pour notre arrivée. Le grand studio est aménagé avec goût et est très bien équipé. Les extérieurs sont sublimes, les différentes vues sur la mer, le volcan, la propriété sont une invitation à la détente. Et quel plaisir d'aller cueillir ses fruits et légumes au potager pour les préparer ensuite au barbecue et les déguster sous la tonnelle! Un véritable havre de paix...

Sehr schönes Haus
Das geschmackvoll eingerichtete Haus und das dazugehörige Grundstück sind etwas Besonderes: wo kann man sonst frisches Obst und Gemüse ernten? Und Fabían ist ein wunderbarer Vermieter und nimmt sich viel Zeit für eine persönliche Einweisung. Lediglich die frischen Temperaturen im Frühling können die Freude etwas schmälern - aber das kann natürlich niemand beeinflussen.

Die Bodega ist einfach nur klasse. Sehr schön im Weinberg gelegen und wundervoll gestaltet
Wir haben unsere Zeit zu Dritt in Orotava sehr genossen. Die Bodega ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und die Terassen sowie die direkte Umgebung (Weinberg und Gemüsegarten) runden das Gesamtbild hervorragend ab. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr gut, um von dort aus zu Wanderungen aufzubrechen und ist an die gut ausgebaute Straße hoch zum Teide angebunden. Das Meer erreicht man in rund 10-15 Minuten mit dem Auto. Leider sind keine Restaurants direkt fußläufig erreichbar, doch in der Küche macht das Kochen mit den regionalen Zutaten (teilweise direkt aus dem Garten) richtig Spaß. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall nochmal wieder, dann mit Freunden, so dass wir das Nachbarhaus mit dem Weinkeller direkt noch dazu buchen würden.

Friendly welcome and great place to stay
We really enjoyed our stay at the Finca. The accommodation is comfortable and well appointed. The views are fantastic. We could pick fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden and it is a short walk into La Orotava, which is one of the most beautiful villages on the island. We would definitely stay again and would highly recommend this property

Lovely house set in vineyard
Very friendly welcome by Mario and Fabian. House is set in a lovely vineyard and garden where you can pick your own fruit and veg. Very peaceful and pretty location at the finca with great views over Puerto de la Cruz and only a 15 minute walk to La Orotava. Aside of enjoying the relaxing surroundings of the villa, we really liked the restaurant belonging to the owners called El Calderito de la Abuela. Fantastic food and wine, very friendly service and stunning views.

Eigentlich müsste man diesen Tipp für sich behalten
Wir waren im November 2017 dort und es war einmalig. Der Gastgeber Fabio war extrem zuvorkommend und hat uns alle Wünsche erfüllt. Es sei hier unbedingt empfohlen, auch einmal in seinem Restaurant zu essen - Weltklasse! Das Haus ist absolut top. Zu zweit ist es der pure Luxus. Man hat so viele schöne Ecken zum Sitzen, dass man sich kaum entscheiden kann. Die Küche ist extrem gut eingerichtet und es macht richtig Spaß am Gasherd zu kochen. Auch die verschiedenen Grillmöglichkeiten sind toll. Vom Weber bis zum BBQ-Grill, alles, was der Hobbykoch sich nur wünschen kann. Besonders schön ist, dass man sich auf der Finca bei der Ernte selbst bedienen kann. Die Qualität ist einmalig und selbst geerntet schmeckt es immer doppelt so gut. Volle Empfehlung, die man am liebsten für sich behalten möchte. Aber das wäre unfair für so viel Engagement von Fabian. Wir kommen wieder!

Sehr schönes Haus mit viel Platz im Aussenbereich
Schöne, geschmackvolle und neue Einrichtung, schönes modernes Bad. Ein schöner Feigenbaum mit leckeren Früchten, auch Gemüse aus dem Garten zur freien Verfügung. Wir haben die Tage sehr genossen, nachts gab es leider immer nicht enden wollendes Hundegebell. Der Außenbereich ist sehr schön eingerichtet, man kann an verschiedenen Orten essen oder einfach nur sitzen und die Umgebung genießen. Drei Grills stehen zur Verfügung, die Qual der Wahl. Einen monumentalen Drachenbaum ist auch in der Nähe des Hauses. Man kommt an und ist gleich in Urlaubsentspannung. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Well designed house nicely located in the middle of a vineyard.
The house has all equipment needed for a nice stay. It is well built and provides a lot of comfort for couples and small groups (up to four). We enjoyed our stay very much. It is centrally located, close to historic cities and beaches, while Santa Cruz is about 30 minutes driving. The owner is very helpful and demonstrated all the vegetables in the surrounding gardens which can be picked if and when needed.

Tolle finca, super ausgestattet, 10 Minuten zu Fuß zum Zentrum
Ganz tolle Finca, schön eingerichtet, die Küche super ausgestattet, Garten, den man nutzen kann, Avocado Bäume, Gastgeber, die sich kümmern und super englisch sprechen. In den 3 Wochen, in den wir dort waren, ist sogar unsere Wohnung 1 mal geputzt worden. Sehr nah ans Zentrum von Orotava. Wir werden bestimmt noch mal kommen!

Beautiful Property
The finca is absolutely beautiful, and in beautiful setting. We were met by Fabian at his restaurant (which is amazing), and taken to the finca. On arrival we were greeted with a lovely welcome pack of wine, cakes and all the necessary basics food items for your first night. The finca itself was very clean, well equipped, although not a lot of clothes storage space. Fabian showed us round the gardens, where you can pick all your own veg/fruit from sweet potatoes to tangerines. The finca is very private and although the other property on site was occupied, it was still very private. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property for a relaxing holiday in a perfect location to explore the Orativa Valley. My only 1 negative comment is there seems to be a number of dogs in neighboring properties, which bark 24/7!!!!!! So if you are a light sleeper, this is a bit of a nightmare.

Great property, great hosts, great location and views
We really enjoyed our stay. The house has been modernised to a really high standard with everything you need for a great holiday, including a modern kitchen and very comfortable bed. The views and outdoor spaces are great too. We took advantage of access to the gardens picking clementines and avocados from the trees. Fabian and Mario were great hosts, from the welcome pack (including their own wine from the vineyard surrounding the house which was excellent) to enjoying eating in their restaurants. La Orotava is well worth exploring and is a 20 minute walk ( up hill on the way back!) and plenty of other places to explore. We are already looking forward to planning a return visit.

Beautiful!
Fabian and his brother Mario have created a really lovely place to stay. Sea views and fresh produce from the garden are just some of the plus points. The place is very well equipped and the 'welcome pack' is more then generous. One hesitates to heap too much praise in case it leads to disappointment for subsequent guests, but this place really is wonderful.

Zum Wohlfühlen.......
Wir haben jeden Tag in diesem schönen Häuschen genossen . Der Wohn-Schlafraum ist sehr gemütlich mit einem Ofen ausgestattet , so hatten wir es Abends wenn es draußen kühler wurde angenehm warm. Die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet,alles was man braucht zum kochen ist da. Der Kühlschrank war gefüllt für das erste Abendessen und Frühstück . Auch der Wein von bester Qualität von den Reben die ums Haus wachsen,von Fabian für uns bereitgestellt hat uns als Weinliebhaber (wir kommen aus der Ortenau )mehr als beeindruckt . Der Garten mit Orangen,Mandarinen und Avocadobäumen und dem vielen Gemüse war eine Freude . Wir durften von allem ernten . So gab es jeden Morgen zum Frühstück frisch gepressten Orangensaft....herrlich. Wir können das Haus nur weiterempfehlen. Es ist alles super sauber ,sehr geschmackvoll mit viel Liebe eingerichtet . Auch sehr zu empfehlen das Restaurant von Fabian und auch das von Mario..das Essen hervorragend und auch das Ambiente sehr geschmackvoll.

A wonderful retreat with first class hospitality
We cannot praise Fabian and his brother Mario enough. We were welcomed incredibly warmly and looked after throughout our stay. The finca was comfortable, clean and well equipped. We were missing nothing. However, the cherry on the cake has to be the kitchen garden and Fabian and Mario's passion for food. Keen to share their passion, we were encouraged to help ourselves to the seasonal fruit and vegetables. It was a real treat to have fresh Canarian food all week. Plus a bottle of wine from the working vineyard! If you like food, wine and exploring you will have a wonderful and memorable experience at Finca Oscar Burchard. Thank you, Fabian and Mario
