Servicen Ă€r toppklassig, matsalen underbart vacker och köket kan laga mat men menyn behöver uppdateras oftare och bli lite mer spĂ€nnande. Mycket bra vinlista med intressanta viner frĂ„n trakten. TyvĂ€rr har rummen blivit en halvmesyr med moderna inslag som inte passar riktigt. PĂ„ omrĂ„det finns en 25 m pool frĂ„n tiden men Ă€r bara...
âWe had the Deluxe Studio and as soon as we arrived we could see how immaculate it was. Bright, beautifully decorated, clean, perfect size for a short stay, fridge/freezer a huge bonus, good size bathroom, table and chairs good for eating and playing cards, nice balcony view to the outside, easy to find and excellent owner - thank you Ricardo for a perfect stay.â
âGreat apartment close to lots of restaurants and shops. Had to walk up lots of stairs, so if you have mobility issues, this is probably not ideal, but we loved it! Washing machine and AC = bonus! â

âThe Luggage Hostel & Suites has a very good location on the hillside with nice views. It is easy to park in the street and calm in the night. It is a charming old villa with special architecture and atmosphere. You can have breakfast or a drink on the balcony with view to the other hillside and the old university. The staff is very helpful with information about Coimbra and you can easily walk to the sights, old town and city center. We would have liked to stay one more night, but unfortunately...
âThe staff are great, the room is clean, and you'll find everything you need, even if it's not in the room, in the shared kitchen. They're very hospitable, and the check-in and check-out are easy. You'll see the hotel is old from the outside, even the door is old, but when you enter, you'll see everything is new and modern.â
âAlles hat gepasst: in der Altstadt gelegen, freundliches Personal, Zimmer sauber und in gutem Zustand. In der KĂŒche ist alles zum Selbstversorgen vorhanden.
Allerdings sollte man darauf achten, dass man auch das bezahlte/gebuchte Zimmer bekommt. Einzelzimmer sehr eng!

"Overall a very nice stay. We were expecting HĂ€sten beds but weâre told theyâve been changed in November 2024. The new beds are of the firm type. The hotel was very clean and was very nicely designed, the bookshelf carved into the bathroom wall was particularly cool! Service was friendly and attentive. The breakfast on the top floor was small but nice with a beautiful view. "
"The hotel looks like a medieval castle but was actually built in the late 1800. There's a wow factor when approach the hotel. And some of the common areas are impressive such as the dining room. The young gentleman at the reception was very kind and helpful. And the surrounding forest is beautiful.
But the positives stop there. The problem is the hotel is falling apart. And the owners don't care. Wallpaper peeling off all over the place. Dirty bathroom och bathtub. Toilet doesn't flush properly. The cleaning staff must find paper and worse floating in the bowl every time they clean the room.
The staff in the restaurant is like Faulty Towers. Running here and there nervously, arguing with each other, throwing food on the table and running away again. We actually had a good laugh at it all, but considering the price and low quality of the food it's a disgrace.
Go here, look at the hotel and forest, but then leave and stay and eat elsewhere. "
