“Ideally located for exploring East Anglia. Comfortable bed and very quiet so we slept really well. Shower was good too. Decor looking a bit tired and dated in places but would definately stay again. ”

“Stayed here for 3 nights as we met up up with relations who live in Bury St Edmunds. Staff here were friendly and helpful. Bed was clean and comfortable, bathroom was clean & shower was fine. We had food one night and it was nice enough. Place needed a bit of updating. We paid £65 a night for room only so I would say it wasn't expensive. ”

“Nice enough and we were well looked after. Our room was rough around the edges, with a view over a site yard which had trucks running their engine below and smoke blowing in. Hotel was very quiet so service was minimal but good when accessible. No access to any of the grander rooms with views over the gardens. ”

“After returning to the area after 16 years, we chose this hotel for the personal touch over other chain options. The hotel's staff was amazing and accomodating. They provided great service and every meal was delicious. The Thomas Paine Museum was of special interest and full of information for this history buff. We cant wait to book our next trip.”
