The Cheerful Lake House at Crane Cove

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Situated on beautiful all sports Wolf Lake this newly built space is gorgeous with great views from it's lofty deck.
Located near the Irish Hills there are many things to enjoy in this area.
- 40 min to THE BIG HOUSE
- 15 min to MIS
Enjoy kayaking, paddle boarding, or paddle boating (all included) right from the lakefront and shared dock. Bring your own boat and launch at the local landing and dock here for the duration of your stay.

The Lake House has additional spaces also for rent, basement and garage apartment, these could potentially have guests during your stay. We ask that our guests observe a quiet time after 11pm. Each space has a separate private entrance and no access between them. The laundry room is a shared space in the garage.

Breathtaking atmosphere
This property was well kept and had plenty of activities to keep you occupied. The views were unreal and we wont be staying anywhere else when we come to MI. Thanks for the wonderful trip!

Clean and peaceful stay!
We had a wonderful night away! It was colder than we anticipated, but the cottage was cozy and clean, and we saw a vast array of wildlife. This was our first VRBO stay, and it couldn’t have been better.

Wow! This place was one of my favorite VRBO stays! The place was super clean and smelled fresh and clean upon arrival. The views are amazing! The property lot is very generous, and on a nice private corner. If you're considering this rental you cannot go wrong!

We've rented many cabins and lake houses across West Virginia, Ohio, and Michigan, but The Cheerful Lake House at Crane Cove stands out as our top choice! Impeccably clean and equipped with all the comforts of home and more, this lake house surpassed our expectations. Every piece of furniture and the strategic window placements were thoughtfully arranged to foster a tranquil ambiance. With breathtaking views of the lake and wildlife visible from every room (except the bathroom), our stay was truly unforgettable. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful Place
My family and I came here for Labor Day weekend and had a blast. Tim is a really nice guy and was extremely helpful with any questions that we had. The property was immaculate and peaceful. My family loved it. Perfect getaway to round off the summer. We’ll definitely be back!

Well Equipped
The owners think about details. The unit was nicely furnished, the kitchen was well-equipped for prep and cooking, and the whole interior was spacious and well lit. Outside, there was actually kindling on the wood pile, and multiple kinds of watercraft - plenty of kayaks, a 4-seater paddle boat, and some paddle boards, too. Kayaking the lake was a real joy. Towels and sheets are included as you’d think for a nice place. The only mild worry was a very soft mattress topper in the downstairs bedroom. The response time to an email question was quick-less than 10 minutes, and the owner(s) are nearby but non-intrusive. I’d rent again in a heartbeat. It’s a great place for 4-5 people, well equipped and well done.

Crane Cove
I saw all the five star reviews for this property, and figured they were probably a bit exaggerated. They weren't. The house is basically new construction. The inside is immaculate. A father and son (son owns the property) are contractors and they rebuilt the property. You can see the attention to detail inside and out. They allow you use of all their equipment; kayaks, paddle boards, bicycles, disc golf etc. The house is lakefront on a beautiful chain of lakes. If you are a picky renter, this place is for you.
