“Room I thought was dated, room & bathroom layout strange, although radiators were off & windows opened room was too warm. At least bed was comfy. Breakfast was fine plenty of choice.”

“I was pleasantly surprised with my room at the Clarendon, which was brighter and nicer than expected. Everything was nice and clean and I enjoyed the partial sea view. The bed was a little hard for me, but others may appreciate such a firm bed. The young lady on reception was very kind, friendly and helpful. I especially liked the free parking, which is pretty rare in seafront hotels and I noticed when looking out of my window at night that it was very brightly lit, which is very comforting....

“The breakfest was good but to park in the hotel car park i was telled it would be £10 per day luckley i had a blue badge and parked in the car park acrooss from the hotel”

“From easy parking, ease of checkin, spotlessly clean room, comfortable bed. Hot drink making facilities and a nice addition of water in the mini fridge, access to a dining area downstairs with microwave, hot drink facilities and a toaster was all you needed. The price reflects the absence of breakfast supplied and to be honest, we preferred this option. Great value for money. We will be back! ”

“A lovely pub with a stunning beer garden and direct access to the canal path for walks to Carnforth Morecambe and Lancaster. Only issue was the heat in the room which I appreciate it was unusually hot but room 3 also has a large noisy extractor fan outside the window so it was either heat or noise. The fan does get turned off at night. Would still stay again and the food was excellent.”
