Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for taking the time to complete your review of the 5 time award winning Econo Lodge in Thomson, GA! Year after year, patrons line up to attend the infamous Masters Golf Tournament at Augusta National. They go as far as to make plans for this journey a year in advance, with hotel reservations, airline tickets, car rentals and much more. With that being said, guests know exactly where they are going to be staying and the price they will be paying. We have a standard 12x 20 room which is extremely common amongst the economy scale of hotels. Being from Sweden I would think that this room would be larger than what you are used to. I personally inspected rooms daily and the room was cleaned, dusted and spotless during your stay. We did not receive a 100% health inspection score by providing dirty rooms. Had you taken the time to look at the Eco-Friendly sign on the counter, you would have realized that it was a franchise guideline to replace the towels every 3 days unless otherwise requested, and you did NOT request it. We are surrounded by a few restaurants but the rooms are made of concrete. Almost soundproof! I was personally there every single day of The Masters and there was no noise that would be bothersome to a guest. Lastly, I want to point out that our hotel advertises a “quick and easy” continental breakfast; which you knew when booking with us. It’s easiest to provide packaged breakfast items in order to accomplish this. Never-the-less, on behalf of our entire team I apologize for failing to exceed your overly high expectations of our economy scale hotel. It seems as though guests who stay during The Masters are very unappreciative of the service and value we provide at our 5 time award winning hotel. Ps: we hope you enjoyed The Masters! We do our best to ensure that smokers do not smoke in our nonsmoking rooms or common areas, both of which result in a bad musty smell; and when a situation like this occurs, we try to address it immediately, thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting to restore the clean smell of our accommodations.
