Two-night solo stay, midweek, in July 2019. I was in a smallish double room with a queen bed, and slept very well. The welcome at reception was friendly and efficient, and subsequently they were able to help me with numbers for local taxis. I did not have the breakfast but dined in the hotel bar one evening and had a substantial and delicious lasagne, salad and chips. The hotel is in the middle of town and is walkable from the railway station. There are various cafes and restaurants in the town and a good cafe (the LiberTea Rooms) opposite the hotel which serves a good cooked breakfast.Potential disabled visitors need to be aware that there is no lift. I was doing some genealogy research and the lady at the Tipperary Studies archive which is above the library (at The Source arts centre) was extremely helpful and efficient. Please note my stay was midweek, I don't know whether the adjoining night club/disco is loud at the weekends?
