“This was a pleasant inn with good service and a comfortable and well equipped room (slight issues with damp in the bathroom notwithstanding). The breakfast and food in the restaurant was generally excellent (but I would avoid the Eggs Benedict). Blaenavon is a pleasant quiet village with some local sights to see like the National Coal Museum and convenient distances to Cardiff and the Brecon Beacons by car.”

“På vår tour i England o Wales valde vi, två vuxna och två tonåringar, att bo i familjesviten i ett par nätter. Rummet var fräscht och mycket rymligt. Wi-fi var mycket bra. “So thrilled to have found this little gem. Needed an overnight stay near Monmouth, we stayed on Boxing Day evening, with our dog. Beautiful room , We ate in the bar, food first class. I imagine we will pay another visit if in the area. ”

“We spent 4 nights at the Kings Head and it was a perfect place to stay. The newly renovated bedrooms and bathrooms were pristine and very roomy, and the breakfasts were delicious, especially the local sausages. "De försöker men är inte riktigt framme. Ung personal som verkar oerfaren, frukosten serveras vid baren så personalen måste gå långa sträckor med maten istället för att köra i matsalen bredvid köket. Ganska högljudd musik/slammer/skrammel från kök och bar. Ett bord i matsalen står precis framför trappan upp till rummen. Väldigt knarrig och ganska obekväm dubbelsäng. Ett coolt ställe dock, inrymt i ett gammalt kloster. Då får man acceptera att det blir lite si och så med saker och ting, men som sagt, inte ett 4* hotell. Trevligt med Nespressomaskin på rummet. Tyvärr fick vi den inte att fungera... ;-)"
