FERNWOOD BY THE SEA is only a few minute walk to North Chesterman Beach. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, private deck with hot tub, outdoor shower, surf racks and all the amenities you'd wish for in your vacation home!
Located in a prime location, this home is a quick stroll to the famous Chesterman Beach and walking distance to Tacofino, Wildside Grill, coffee shops & more!
Fernwood by the Sea sleeps 6 guests comfortably. The master bedroom has a king bed with an ensuite bathroom. The other 2 bedrooms have queen size beds with a shared bathroom complete with a tub and shower. There is a large living room area, dining table, fully equipped kitchen and BBQ for all your cooking needs. Out back you can relax in the private hot tub surrounded by many alder and old growth trees or enjoy the outdoor shower after a day of surfing!

For those who wish to dive into Tofino's world-renown surfing, enjoy the luxury of the outdoor heated shower, hot tub and surfboard racks.
Fernwood by the Sea is the perfect Tofino home base!

Host Rules

Renter's Agreement: Guests must sign the Renter's Agreement to confirm their reservation.

Age min: must be 23 years or older to book.

Guest Limit: As per Tofino Bylaws, a maximum of 6 guests (including babies and children) are allowed. If a reservation exceeds this limit, we reserve the right to ask the guests to leave.

During peak summer season (June 15 - Sept 15), 3 night minimum and all bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps.

3 night minimum stay for all Canadian Statutory Holidays

We offer discounted rates on month long stay ONLY during our low season (Dec-Feb)

Pet friendly after owner approval, 2 dog max. Sorry no cats allowed!

Please note: A long-term tenant lives on-site in a separate caretaker suite as per Tofino Bylaws

Strict Quiet Hours: 10pm to 8am - please be respectful of the neighbours and locals!

Cancellation Policy: We offer a 30 day cancellation policy. If you provide us with the 30 days required notice you will receive a full refund. If you cancel without the required days notice you will not receive a refund for your reservation.

Accidental Damage Protection: Accidental Damage Protection is included in the total cost of your reservation—there is no additional fee after booking, as it is automatically applied at the time of purchase. This coverage protects against accidental damages up to $1,000 that may occur during your stay.
Please note: This protection does not apply to damages caused by parties, unauthorized events, or negligent behaviour. It is strictly intended for unintentional mishaps that may happen while you're staying in the home.

Super central for Beach, Park, Town, 5minute walk to beach or Wikkanish Inn. Quiet and private. Comfy beds . Roomy kitchen and dining area. Good sized tv. Private Hot tub. Great escape.

Weekend getaway

We had a wonderful stay. The property is spacious, private, quiet, clean, and has all the comforts of home. Best of all, it is a quick walk to Chesterman Beach. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Great property

This is a great property. The only recommendation I would have is to have a railing for the outside steps. They are slippery when wet and my husband who is 77;fell. Also a grab bat in shower would be helpful. Otherwise this is excellent… It is hard to find accessible property here and my husband has Parkinson’s yet we still like to travel. I like how private the bedroom areas feel

Awesome house

This property was perfect for our family. It’s a short 5 min walk to Chestermna beach and close to all the amnesties that Tofino has to offer. The property managers were very easy to communicate and checked in lots. We have already rebooked for next year.

Wonderful Tofino Stay!

We had a 2 night stay with 2 adults and 3 teens. The home was comfortably furnished and had all of the amenities we needed and more! We lived the 3 bedrooms and the beds and linens were very comfy! Having 2 bathrooms is a must with teens and they were very nice. The hot tub was an added bonus, especially after a day of surfing. The proximity to Chesterman Beach and a few restaurants and stores was also a big bonus! Would love to stay here again!

Great Stay in Tofino

We had a blast

This home is well-appointed and clean. Surfing every day meant the hot tub, showers and laundry were often used and enjoyed. The kitchen had every thing we needed and more. The short wander to Chesterman Beach was a dream.

Beautiful property

Wonderful stay neat Chesterman Beach

We had a wonderful 4 days while staying at Fernwood. The location was great - 5 minutes to Chesterman beach and 10 minutes walking to the local coffee shop. The house itself was clean and the beds very comfortable. There were ample supplies in the kitchen to allow for easy meal prep. Definitely would recommend this place to others!

Wonderful stay!

We had an amazing time at Fernwood by the Sea. The home was clean, spacious & well stocked. Beds & furniture were comfy & the outdoor shower, surfboard racks & hottub were great!! My surfing son was pretty happy. It was about a 5 min walk to Chesterman beach & although it was pouring rain it was still an amazing walk on the beach. LOVED every minute of our stay. Thank you so much for your awesome communication during our stay. I was confident if we had an issues they would have been taken care of immediately but happy to say that wasn't necessary. I will definitely be staying at Fernwood by the Sea again & will recommend to family & friends. Thank you so much.

Great spot

Nice to close to the beach! Loved the hot tub after some surfing. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped (just need a lid for a pot please 😉. Definitely would stay again :).

Private and close to Chesterman Beach

Four of us stayed at this property, and it was perfect for us. It was only a block to what we think is one of the finest beaches, and there were a few restaurants, coffee shops and a small grocery within easy walking distance. The kitchen is large and the open plan very spacious. There is living room seating for five, and a hot tub that was large enough for the four of us. This property is not cheap, but is in line with typical prices charged at similar properties in the area. We would return for sure.

Thanks for the great stay!

Fernwood by the Sea was lovely a few steps to the beach and a lovely private hot tub for warming up and watching birds in the forest understory. Well equipped kitchen with BBQ on the patio for grilling fresh seafood. Very quiet spot that we would visit again and next time bring surfboards to make use of the racks and drying space for wetsuits!
