    A minute's stroll from the sandy, wild expanse of north Chesterman Beach, discover one of Tofino's most unique, intentionally created cottages. Experience the serenity of the sea, sleep deeply to the rhythm of the tides, soothe away stress and rediscover yourself. Custom-designed by spa and wellness expert Vivienne O'Keeffe and ideal for self-directed retreats and restful escapes. The cottage is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized for each incoming guest.



    The cottage lays serenely in a coastal marine landscape. Surrounded by cedar trees, visitors can relax on any of the three decks. The grounds of the cottage are ideal for meditation, listening to the distant thunder of the waves, the whisper of wind through the cedars and the joyful sound of birds.



    Tofino Hummingbird Cottage is designed to tap into Tofino's unique healing energy. The 1,450 sq.ft. interior features the soothing palette of nature, works by Island artists and beautiful floors of recycled vinyl and sustainable cork, known for its warmth and ability to soften sound.



    The living room features a cozy Norweigian JØTUL gas fireplace, sectional sofa and chairs custom-designed for style and comfort. In the kitchen, enjoy preparing and cooking your food on countertops of quartz Caesarstone and a gas stove with a true convection oven. Tofino's local shops allow plentiful access to fresh seafood, organic vegetables and artisanal foods.

An amazing little piece of paradise tucked in the trees. Very well appointed and maintained. Comfy beds and with all we needed. Vivienne is a gracious host and we’ll be back again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Vivienne was a great host. The Hummingbird was a very quick stroll to the beach… great for surfing, watching the sunset and long walks. The kitchen was very well stocked and the beds super comfy. Outdoor shower was a bonus after a day surfing. Entire home was filled with thoughtful details and was very clean. Thank you Vivienne!

Fantastic time in Tofino

We were 3 couples visiting Tofino for the first time. We had a fantastic visit. Vivienne was a great host and her place was perfect for us. It was a great location - very close to Chesterman beach. The place was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again.

The Hummingbird Cottage is a beautiful place and easy beach access. Vivienne was a perfect host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would definitely stay there and again and highly recommend it!!!

Amazing early Easter

My family and I rented this as an early Easter get away. It was perfect. The kitchen had absolutely everything for cooking a full turkey dinner! The location was a true dream.

Great family vacation

This was an awesome spot! So close to Chesterman beach and a short 5km drvie/run/bike from Tofino. Very clean, very comfortable. All the amenities of home. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Vacation

My family and I stayed at Tofino Hummingbird Cottage over Thanksgiving, and we had an incredible time. The location is perfect, the cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. Plenty of space for 6 people. Enjoyed running on Chesterman beach and surfing on Cox beach. Definitely recommend this property!

Great getaway and perfect house

The owner is wonderful, property management great and the house is perfect. Very clean, beautifully designed and appointed. We will be back! Very short walk to Chesterman Beach and easy walk to Tacofino and Chocolate Tofino too!

Family bonding

From start to finish of our amazing rejuvenating family vacation Vivienne was nothing but supportive, helpful, kind and a gracious host! The expression of life “it’s all in the little details” is the embodiment of our stay- Vivienne made sure we had everything we needed and just goes above and beyond for our stay! We loved it so much and our kids (11,9 and 5) want to go back next year. We will be sure to book here again!
